Great vid. You don't have to step down USBC PD for the FX3? You're using just a USBC to USBC instead of using a Kondor Blue PD Delivery cable or something similar? Hasn't affected your cam? Happy Holidays brother.
Great video! It really helped me with an alternative to the pricier V-mount plates. And its cool that you're using the Andycine Vmount batteries. Are you still able to use the D-tap ports on the battery as well?
Do you know of any camera bags (ideally not cases) that can accommodate this full build? I work on docs all the time and often need to be able to pick up the camera and go at a moment's notice for lots of run and gun -so wanna be able to transport this build 24/7...
Hey! I have 2 different baseplates for the FX6 that have 15mm rod supports built into them (one is from Tilta and the other is the Universal shoulder pad by 8sinn). You could go that route, but the FX6 has to be powered through the DC port. There is no USB-C PD input port on that camera (USB-C PD on the FX3, a7IV, FX30, a7RV, a7S3. etc). I haven't done any FX6 rig videos here on the channel. Maybe I should start talking more about about the FX6 on here?
@@RayValencia I see. Yea I’m looking for a v mount plate for my fx6 that allows me to keep the Sony battery in as bacj up but don’t want to spend 400 and get the wooden camera plate? And yes I would watch fx6 content all day. Love to see different builds and get ideas.

Very good stuff! ZGCine came with something similar with PD65, you can buy it with a nice dynamic arm that swivel, turn etc like th smallrig one.

Can you power your rig with usbc without a bettery connected? Can you charge the v mount battery while powering your camera/monitor at the same time?
