Hola Mariana! Thank you for sharing this great video. I just return yesterday from Playa Del Carmen. 17 Real Estate Agents travel there to acquire Real Estate Certification to sell properties in Mexico 🇲🇽 from USA. We are the first generation to accomplish this wonderful opportunity. I’m in the process of applying for my Matricula to sell in beautiful Morelia! 🥰
Great interview and guest as I have watched Bill's RUclips channel for many years. I'm also an American expat and have lived here in Mexico and really enjoyed it. The culture, history, and the Mexican people are really what gives Mexico it's charm because it's so different than the U.S. I have come to appreciate the differences and how welcoming the people are once you get to know them. And Bill's advice was spot on about asking yourself what do you want? What type of place, climate, size of population, amenities, stores and medical care. Mexico is a huge country with diverse climates and every one of the states here has a different cuisine, topography, and way of life. People should have no problem finding a place that they can enjoy after exploring for awhile.
I follow Bill on his channel and he is so much fun!!!! And now he's my neighbor because I live in Patzcuaro which is 45 minutes from The lovely city of Morelia!!!!
Great video! Love the approach on the various issues people who want to relocate to Mexico face. Such as climate, cost of living, expat heaven yes or no, and, how to learn Spanish, how to make friends, and finally, on how to find a landing spot and explore Mexico from there.
Wow!! Morelia sounds great, the weather seems like mexico city. Just moved to Mexico city myself and love it. Mexico is such an amazing place! Amazing people, amazing vibe and God, the food is amazing too!
Imma big fan of Bill, like he and some others, he just needs to keep his American politics on the DL 😂 Good job on having Bill on, this was informative
This guy is a hypocrite. He goes on and on for 15 minutes. How he doesn't like Expacts or want to see Expacts but then reaches out to Expacts to help him find an apartment.
@@davidsebastianelli1326 Hola David! The reason for my question is because I’m a Real Estate Broker in Illinois and I just acquired my Certification to sell Real Estate in beautiful Mexico!!! 🇲🇽 😉
@@guiovanacazares1882 There is a gated community near the Tecnologico de Monterrey campus, golf course, major shopping mall, and large fairly new Hospital Angeles in the Jesus del Monte district in/on the Altozano (elevation 7000 feet) SE of Morelia centro, if you want a more modern housing/lifestyle. Cool year-round up there. Few residents are Anglos. I lived there for a year while teaching at the university. Be aware that living in a gated community does not guarantee you a much higher level of security. I did not live in the gated area of the Altozano, but I always felt safe there. A city bus service serves the Altozano and will take you down/up to the centro, airport, or the Costco. On the far eastern edge of Morelia there is Fraccionamiento Tres Marias, including the world headquarters of the Cinepolis cinema company and a golf course. A bit closer (west) of the centro is Fraccionamiento Hacienda Corralejo.

I don’t know why, but I have a feeling he doesn’t like expats 😂 He’s a character lol
Looks like a lovely town. You mentioned income from writing Amazon books. I'm interested in voicing audio books. Can that be done through Amazon?
Bill - you went to Dartmouth? We may know someone in common! Small world.
I assume you must be proficient in Spanish if no expats around.
The cost of living in Mexico is rising quickly, those taking these videos seriously should be aware of that.
We are aware. It's all relative. And it all depends where you live and where you are looking for your rental. :) Saludos!
Morelia won't be expat free now Thx 2 this video. Also Mazatlan isn't exspensive in Centro , Gold zone is.
Expensive is relative :) Thanks for watching! Saludos
Does the expat population vary summer to winter?
No- not as much as in touristic destinations
This guy is a hypocrite. He goes on and on for 15 minutes. How he doesn't like Expacts or want to see Expacts but then reaches out to Expacts to help him find an apartment.
Wow that brave gringo Morelia bonito but estás 🔥
Is Morelia near playa del Carmen?
No- Morelia is about 24 hrs driving from Playa. Or about a 3-4 hr flight
But u can't move there unless you prove a huge amount of money coming in
not unless you qualify for the RNE program 😀- learn more on our blog mexicorelocationguide.com/blog/
Not necessarily. A lot of people qualify for the RNE Program mexicorelocationguide.com/regularization-program-residency-in-mexico/
Yup!!!!
You need to prove no income on a tourist visa.
RNE was super easy with my MRG facilitator in Chetumal, MX
No tourists, no expats, sounds great
Bill moved to Mexico "...20 years ago in 2015"? Is Bill living in 2035?
Are there gated communities in Morelia? How far from centro?
