  • Communion on the tongue or in the hand? The revelations of the Virgin Mary to Sister Agnes of Akita.🙏✝
The bishop immediately interpreted the secret revelation made by the Virgin Mary. In 1973, Our Lady appeared to a nun in Akita, Japan. The apparition was approved, and Cardinal Ratzinger, then Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, affirmed that it was a continuation of Fatima. Several extraordinary and supernatural events occurred. However, it is now primarily remembered for its final message, that of October 13, the date of the Miracle of the Sun at Fatima. In the message, she warned that the work of the devil would infiltrate the Church, causing conflicts and persecutions against faithful priests. And unless men repent, the Heavenly Father would send fire from the sky. One of the significant messages received there concerned how Heaven prefers the Eucharist to be received, whether in the hand or in the mouth, which went unnoticed. Here, we will discuss how the Heavenly message at Akita relates to the reception of the Eucharist with the hand or in the mouth, and the Heavenly preference for communion.

@@MariadeJesus-dt4ql The bit about conecrated hands in poppycock; in the 1917 code of Canon law, deacons were allowed to distribute Communion - and their hands were not consecrated as they were not yet ordained. We already live in a time where there are an insufficent number of priests; and if you are in a situation where there is no priest available, but there may be a Communion service, I would hpe that you would not refuse to receive Christ in Communion.

Thank you for this video. God bless you. I am an Indian woman who was receving the Body of Christ on the tongue till I left India. During COVID outbreak, the Churches made it compulsory to receive the Body of Christ in the hands. Few months ago, my left palm started itchy during the Holy Mass. I couldn't understand the reason until I watch this video today. But inspired by few people who receive the the Body of Christ on the tongue, I also started receiving the Holy Body of our Lord on the tongue by kneeling. This act makes me more closer to my Lord than before. Thanks be to God for His grace...🙏❤🙏

When a R. Catholic takes communion during the mass, which aspect of Jesus' body does he believe he is eating?
      1. His broken, bruised, bleeding, crucified body before God pours out His wrath on Jesus?
      2. His body which has become sin for us and on which God is pouring out His full fury and wrath?
      3. His resurrected and glorified body?
The mind of a R. Catholic knows that it is idiocy to believe that he can physically eat Jesus (God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth John 4:24) so he must use religious sounding phrases eg , "most blessed sacrament", "holy sacrifice of the mass", "liturgy of the eucharist", "transubstantiation" etc to quell his logical and common sense objections.
The John Chpt. 6 passages where Jesus spoke of "eating His flesh and drinking His blood" are unrelated to the Passover as it was not the time of Passover and it was not in Jerusalem. He was teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum and was speaking of "COMING to Him and BELIEVING on Him" (John 6:35). He was referring to His Word, for he is the Word of God (John 1:1 & Rev. 19:13). We are to "eat" and "drink" His Word.
Heb.10: 12 tells us "but He, having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down at the right hand of God", where He is remaining until He returns to gather His bride. (He is not coming up and down from heaven in wafers and wine at the whim of sinful deluded "priests").
One "eats" God's Word by believing it and meditating upon it:
Isaiah 51:16 "I (the Lord) have put my words in your mouth ...".
Ezekiel 3:1 "... eat this scroll and go and speak to the House of Israel".
Jeremiah 15:16 "Your words were found and I did eat them ..."
Revelation 10:10 " I (John) took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it".
The serious student of God's Word who loves Jesus and is filled with the Holy Spirit knows that Jesus often spoke in parables and used metaphors e.g. "I am the Door, the Vine, the Good Shepherd". He explained to His disciples that He did this so that those who had "eyes to see" (truly seeking to know the truth) would see but that those whose hearts were hardened (religious) would not be able to see beyond the literal words.
      R. Catholics have been duped by satan through their religion. "God our Savior desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the Truth" (1 Tim 2:4).
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me" Rev. 3:20. What is the new spiritually regenerated believer going to dine on with the Lord? - His Word, the Truth.

------John 6:61 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before! 63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you-they are full of the Spirit and life. 64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. 65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”
      WHY did they walk away????
Mitzvot (Jewish Laws) #192. Not to eat blood.
      (Leviticus 3:17)
DO NOT EAT BLOOD!!!!! READ verse 63 AGAIN!!!

I also notice how people are so loud and they don't care that Our Lord is present in the Tabernacle of the church I see also have people come and go like it's an auditorium and that this clapping is getting ridiculous to I mean if you do things as a volunteer and you should want to not be acknowledged and to be given that Grace in heaven and not be always clap being in appreciate it here on Earth I also have noticed that not only is it that these people also too that are the musicians they like to just play music constantly even during time of when you're trying to pray and after you've received our Lord and have that time of peace and to be in the presence of God at that time after communion, to have just peacefulness but instead there's just people taking and music playing which it can be very distracting after you have received communion and you want to spend a few moments with Our Lord and to thank him. We should get back to saying the St Michael prayer and to give thank to God for being able to be at church and being able to receive Our Lord i think in these times we should be saying a decade of the rosary after every mass as well

Why satanists steal our host but don’t care one tittle about any other so called churches and what they give as whatever (bread or grape juice?). Even the devils know it’s real and bring people with false teaching to stop people going to catholic mass and receiving the Eucharist. The devil wants souls and fools many. Do you really want truth? Most really don’t. They want comfort false religions. I pray for you.

- His Word, the Truth

Having been brought through the 1950's to the 1970's as a traditional Catholic, it would have been unthinkable to venture beyond the altar rails let alone to touch the precious species. Kneeling at the altar rail would make reception in the hand unfeasible. I find it hard to comprehend how swiftly and successful the forces of evil have been in accomplishing this gross disrespect of the Body of Our Lord and Saviour by standing and sticking out the paw as the demon said during the exorcism of Annaliese Michel in the early 70's.

That "gross disrespect" was how the Church, both east and west, received, for the first 800 yea;rs. One has to be amazed at the amount of spiritual pride some people have. A parish I was in for about 30 years was one in which the vast majority received in the hand; it was also one that had Perpetual Adoration for the better part of those 30 years; and which produced 3 men discerning a vocation to the priesthood (one finally orained), two permanent deacons, and two women professed to reigious orders.

@@timmoore9736 I don't know where you plucked this first 800 years from. To my knowledge communion in the hand was allowed for a brief period in the 4th/5th century but was discontinued due to the abuse it incurred. Even then the Host was not placed directly in the hand but on a piece of cloth covering the hand and from there to the mouth, thereby negating the touching of the precious species. The post Vatican II modernists managed through disobedience and in an effort of false ecumenism with protestants forced the hand of Paul VI. From there the practice spread like a cancer through the Church. If you care to look up the happening at Garabandal in the early 1960's when the Blessed Virgin appeared to a group of children over a 3 year period. As the village was remote the priest wasn't always available to say mass. One Sunday an angel appeared to one of the children who kneeling down received the Communion host on the tongue from the angel. A Spanish photographer was on hand to record the event but didn't know what transpired until he developed and printed the photo.

@@sklenars I have actually studied the history of the Church - which you apparently haven't. it was not "plucked". Oh, and by the way, the Church has never approved Garabandal, so your reliance on it is abit askew. But then... Oh - and Pope Paul VI was such a wus, he just got pushed every which way by those "modernists". well, you do hav;e all the snotty terms down. And it was not disobedience. The bishop is the final authority within his diocese as to liturgical law when there is no specific to the contrary - a point that the "conservatives" ignore, calling them disobedient. I would hope that the next comment will not be approval of the SSPX - Cardinal Kasper publicly said that they are de facto separated from the Church, but not de jure, due to the desire of the Church for recncilliation. And Rome never repudiated his statement; given that he had been head of the dicastery after Pope Benedict was no longer head of it, it carries more weight. As to the 4th/5th century, that ws practiced in part but it was the comment of Saint Cyril of Jerusalem attesting to this noble practice. Around 400 St. Cyril writes: "When you approach, do not extend your hands with palms upward and fingers apart, but make your left hand a throne for your right hand, since the latter is to receive the King." Eventually the Church did move to Communion on the tongue. And one last comment: people in this thread want to bleet about the "consecrated hanbds of the priest". But in the 1917 code co Canon law, a deacon could also distribute Communion, and his hands were not consecrated. QED

Communion in the hand was the common practice of the Church - both East and West - for the first 800 years. As noted by Cyril of Jerusalem: "Coming up to receive, therefore, do not approach with your wrists extended or your fingers splayed, but making your left hand a throne for the right (for it is about to receive a King) and cupping your palm, so receive the Body of Christ; and answer: “Amen.” Noted by multiple Catholic writers of the time: Tertullian,[1] Cyprian,[2] Augustine,[3] Cyril of Alexandria,[4] and John Climacus.[5] In Jerusalem, we have the mystagogical catecheses of Cyril of Jerusalem (or perhaps of his successor, John).[6] In Syria (what we now call Turkey and surrounding regions) it is witnessed by Basil the Great,[7] John Chrysostom,[8] Theodore of Mopsuestia,[9] John Damascene[10] and the Council of Constantinople in Trullo (also called the Quinisext council).[11] In East Syria (what we would now call the Middle East) we have evidence from Ephrem the Syrian[12] and Narsai.[13] In the far-flung regions of the empire-Gaul (modern-day France and Spain) we have the witness of Caesarius of Arles[14] and the council of Auxerre,[15] and in England, we have the Venerable Bede.[16] Liturgical evidence from Rome is always sparser than one would like, but Eusebius preserves a mention of communion in the hand in a letter written from Dionysius of Alexandria to Sixtus I, bishop of Rome,[17] and in a letter of Cornelius, bishop of Rome.[18] Moreover, an early illuminated gospel, the Rosanno Gospels, depicts the last supper as a communion line, where the disciples receive in cupped hands while bowed. Private revelations are just that; and the Church does not pass judgement on the entirety of any message nor does it even require acceptance by the faithful. We would all be advised to keep our personal opinions to ourselve on matters which the Church provides alternatives.

Further, in the hand goes back to the first 800 years of the Church and with the multitude of saints from that time, it did not appear to be a bad or incorrect way of receiving. Whether one receives on the tongue or in the hand does not bother me in the least, but I often reflect how approaching individually and receiveing slows things down and is far more reverent than it was back then. Holy Communion should always be received on the tongue, out of love and respect for the Lord. Also tiny fragments may sometimes break off so Jesus is being walked on each day. When receiving on the hand people should at least put the Sacred Host into their mouth before they turn around. Just take one step to the side of the Priest so He can continue. People were never taught how to received on the hand with respect. They never check to see if a fragment has fallen off. It often happens because I experienced this in the past. Viva Cristo Rey

As I listened to this explanation of this event for the second time. I pray for those who will also listen to this presentation. My thoughts are those of a cradle Catholic. I’m inspired by the message of Jesus ( The Christ ). We on earth are the product of God’s creation. Jesus came to us to save us not destroy or punish us. At the last supper, Jesus was gave us the opportunity to choose to be with Him through His gift of grace. Please consider that God is Love and accept His Love without fear. God truly is our creator not our destroyer. Seek the path to eternal life, receive Holy Communion often with respect and thanksgiving for the grace Jesus has offered us in Love. It is not a symbol, we should not be afraid to approach God and allow Him to enter the body He has created. Respect is what is important. Approached the Eucharist with Love in your heart. God will love you back. 🙏 Amen

ST. AUGUSTINE: “Apart from those moments when the Scriptures are being read or a sermon is preached, when the bishop is praying aloud or the deacon is specifying the intentions of the community, is there a time when the faithful assembled in the church are not singing? Truly, I see nothing better, or more useful, or more holy that they could do.”

I have followed the Church's guidelines regarding the reception of Communion, and now it's allowed in the hand. However, after seeing now how many no longer believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, I believe much is because Communion in the hand is treating the host as something normal like food, and no longer seeing it as Christ himself, so I plan on going back to receiving on the tongue (or in the mouth). Most of our priests prefer to give communion by hand, but we have a young Priest who definitely prefers to give Communion in the Mouth, but doesn't openly promote it. When I was the Eucharistic Minister with him, before mass started I told him that I would today receive it in the hand. He became very defensive and told me that it wasn't illegal to receive the Blessed Sacrament in the Mouth, so I gained a little courage and received it by mouth. It probably hasn't got anything to do with it but I haven't been put on the roster to be Eucharist Minister since. I was 20 years old when it changed and I still don't feel the reverence I felt then when we knelt down and received it on the tongue, leaving it to it dissolved and in complete prayer and Adoration, feeling His Love within. 🙏

Out of extreme adoration it is proper for the laity to receive Jesus on the tongue, this also prevents the particles of the Holy Eucharist from being all over the place, more particularly from being wiped on our clothes as is done by the recipient very irreverently

I agree with you! People are too hung up on legalism, instead of spirit of the law - and He warned us about that in Scripture. Also, Jesus IS NOT UNAPPROACHABLE. After all, did He not visit and talk with the people of His time that were societies' outcasts? So, what is legalism? Legalism is an attempt to gain favor with God or to impress our fellow man by doing certain things (or avoiding other things), without regard to the condition of our hearts before God. At the root of legalism is the sin of pride, because the legalist thinks that he is able to commend himself to God by his own good deeds. Invariably, he is only looking at externals, not at his heart. Also, the legalist’s pride motivates him to exalt himself in the sight of others by his outward behavior, again neglecting to see the corruption of his own heart. Thus legalism denies human depravity and exalts human ability. As such, it is opposed to the gospel of God’s grace. That’s why both Jesus and Paul clashed with the legalists.

(Martin Bucer, Protestant Reformer, Germany, 1491-1551)
The 'reformers' in Germany and England had to convince Catholics that they were just receiving bread and wine, so they removed altar rails and forced communicants to stand and take the Body of Christ with their own fingers.

I grew up kneeling at the communion rail and receiving the precious host on my tongue, my First Communion was made like that. Glad to see that wonderful tradition becoming re-emphasized again in almost all Catholic parishes. But with many older & infirmed congregants kneeling down and getting back up can be very painful and sometimes impossible. And distributing to those people on the tongue when they are standing in front of a Eucharistic minister can result in numerous hosts falling to the floor despite altar boys and their patens to protect against that. I speak from experience being an altar server years ago. So the hands option, while maybe not preferable, if transfer to mouth is completed quickly and with total reverance and love, should not be eliminated. It's a grave overstatement to condemn it, for sure. Let's not create problems where they don't exist.
