I'm starting to realize the thing I've been neglecting is water storage. If there is a serious disaster, tap water will not be safe.

I got one of those. After reading about the contents I was thinking of it more of like a starch bucket of side dishes. It exclaims to have main dishes but they lack protein. So I got some canned meat to couple with it. Overall it was a pretty good buy imo because it has a diversity of dishes. Oh and its somewhat rat proof. A rat chewed on it but failed to get through.

Wow, I never even considered that they could be measured in "servings" not pouches.... Thank you for saving me from the mistake!
If the Armageddon didn't kill me, my wife definitely would have 😅

Always good to have a diversified larder. I have a few friends with freeze dryers and one is doing a few eggs for me now. I do water glass them but its been so wet most eggs are muddy so I'm getting some fd.

We have some freeze dried and I would love a freeze dryer but the cost compared to just buying doesn't seem worth it. I Def need to get more back pack style.

We considered purchasing a freeze dryer. The cost, setup, power supply, and time just doesn't seem worth it right now.

@@GoosePondHideoutWithRob It would have been worth it for me decades ago when I was feeding -the Eighth Infantry Division- Teenagers.
Plus they were also far more affordable then.

Great video. I’d go with the single serve pouches if possible even though it will cost more. I have some of those Readywise buckets. lol
I remember when the geese were small.

Yeah, I was a bit upset when the readywise arrived and I read each pouch is 6 servings.
We have 4 adult geese now 1 year old. We have 4 babies, in this video, that are 6 weeks old.

Great video, I have been thinking about this lately as I had purchased about 6-7 of these over the past 5 years and storing them in my basement, however it is just me, myself, and I...so I have been thinking that it might be overdoing it by having so many. I suppose I could keep them or barter with them or try and sell some of them.

Yep, you might want to hang on to them. If you decide you don't need them they might be excellent barter items.
