I did have a problem running everything on my Win 7 machine..dunno why, I tried everythiong I could think opf but kept coming up with a "Error: 126 An error occurred while attempting to start the servicing process for the image located at C:\Programs to incorporate drivers into WinPE\Mounted wim" but I tried it on my Win 10 laptop and it worked great. Wish I could figure out why it didnt work, but glad it finally did. Thanks for excellent video!
Honestly, I didn't need this video for injecting drivers, but it still helped me. I needed to figure out how to inject .dll's into my WinPE. I have a bricked video card that all other attempts have failed to restore it. So, I'm trying WinPE x86 with atiflash on the drive, but it said it was missing ULPSCtrl.dll. So, I'm going to try placing that .dll in my boot.wim's windows\system32 folder, copy it on to my flash drive, register the .dll, and try flashing again. So, thank you for illustrating points of how to mount, edit, and save a customized WinPE!
Thanks for this video!! I just added the Dell usb 3.0 drivers to my Win PE Sophos version. It all went perfect so far. I will be able to test tomorrow. If it works and I now have the USB available in Win PE with the laptop that has the SkyLake processor and Win 7 you will have saved me! I have several Dells with SkyLake and Win 7 that have the windows boot manager BCD boot error but are encrypted with Sophos. If i can now access a USB from Win PE I will be able to un encrypt and repair instead of wiping the drive. I will update after testing
If anyone runs into issues with this and you're in Windows 7 x64, it uses an outdated version of DISM. I used a Windows 10 Enterprise VM and everything worked as it should. I managed to add Desktop shortcuts to the mysterious "Administrator" user that only appears on boot with the newest Gandalf, although it was stupid difficult due to all of the restrictions and I did it a super janky way. But hey, it works.
Hi and thanks for your 10PE. I did follow your video how to add drivers to the ISO. I think everything went well and the USB boots up perfectly and i can see my M.2 Samsung 950 Pro raid-0, so the drivers seems to be there. BUT, explore crashes after just a few seconds and i am unable to start most of the programs without some error about some memory-thing. I have a pic of the message but cant post it nor be able to upload it to Photobucket at the moment. Peter
Hi Gandalf i want to change settings and install more apps to your PE but everytime i reboot your PE its all reset why is this? how can can i get it to remember the change.
Can you help me i need a WinPe iso with Intel Graphics. Because i have a Laptop and the Screen is broke and my second Monitor dosent get recognized. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

How do you add things to the Desktop. That mysterious AdminSE account is no where to be found.

The Windows OS is stored in ram and loaded from the wim . any changes you make to windows are gone after a reboot.

Non portable apps will likely not work since apps usually write settings to the registry. You can always try.
