If you computer is infected with Malware or Its won't boot in to Windows because startup is corrupt, a Windows PE build can be your saving grace, it lets you boot in to a Live PE Environment to start troubleshooting PC issues that you maybe be having with your computer. AOMEI PE Builder is very easy to setup and use.
So if your a computer tech and run a computer repair shop, your going to need one of these PE Builds.

If you add the Virtualbox Extension Pack you can more comfortably test your iso using a virtual machine and tweak it much more quickly than writing to thumb drives which should be reserved for the final test. PE will boot without that but it's a handy touch.

If you can remember, how did you “set it up”? I got the iso and I used Rufus to mount to usb and windows starts but then hangs and hard shuts off conputer

I have used and created a bootable ISO image with AOMEI PE Builder and my bootable disk does not work when rebooting my computer. I receive a blue screen of death.
Cesare Vesdani make sure the boot device is set to usb first or press f12 depending on your motherboard

Interesting tool and nice video. Do you happen to know if this uses all of the cores of a multi-core cpu or just one? Some of the other WinPE tools I've tried in the past only recognized and used one core and I've been looking for an alternative that uses all of them.

I like your videos. But on the AOMEI PE disc with Kaspersky TDSSKiller is only scan the PE disc not the hard on the system, Did you have to happen to you too? Just would like to know.
Is it possible to add Microsoft Office 2010 and get it to work properly with AOMEI PE Builder to create a custom Win7PE disk?
There is a portable version of Office 2010, which I downloaded a few days ago. It is working properly with Win 7, but not Win 10. It might be worth a try to see if it works here too
it says for any program that is not preinstalled that the side by side feature is faulty.

Hi Brian ! I like your vids as always. Another great little program. But i was wondering if you could make a vid about how to optimize settings for a SSD completly ? I know you have made a vid about it. I have seen a lot of vids on youtube about to optimize SSDs but i get confused whit all the stuff you can do. I run win 8.1 64 bit on a single SSD on 240 Gigabyte. By the way..... I think do a diffrence in here. I learn a lot from you.

Hello, Ive heard that you can put the pe onto a USB to plug in and boot. Can you explain how to do that?
None of the portable apps I added are working. However they all do look installers (identical icons). Double-clicking on them does nothing.
Hi Brian! Thanks for the great video! I have tried this several times and put it on a USB flash drive, and then tried to boot it, but it never boots all of the way. I am on Windows 8.1. I get the Windows logo while booting, and then it goes to a black screen and sits there. I have let it sit 10 minutes and still no system. I have been able to boot other using the same flash drive and other WinPE builds, but not this one. Any ideas? Thanks!
It’s very important to know that the current version of PE Builder isn’t compatible with Windows 8.1, meaning you can’t install PE Builder on Windows 8.1, XP, and Vista to prepare the bootable media. However, bootable media created on Windows 7 or 8 will work great on Windows 8.1 and above versions.

I added a load of portable apps to a folder in an installation, but nothing happens at all when I click the exe files. Not one single file works. Anyone any ideas why?

Nice util, i assume you dont have to download microshaft waik to use the util.
I used the free minitool cd the other day, a frends machine had developed multiple bad clusters, i informed him (your drive is dieing, get a new one), so as a short term fix i used the cd to lift the win7 partition up 50gb so the old dodgy windows area was left behind, brilliant partition wizard minitool cd, did a perfect job :-))

You wouldn't want to run a defragger on an SSHD drive though.

viaide.sys missing error , that file is nowhere to be found on the system that I used to create this usb rescue pe, what gives here. My desktop doesn't need it to boot but my thumb drive does, I installed the Intel Skylake usb drivers as well still no luck.

Britec, can you create some kind of Rescue CD with up to date software, that you think is most needed to solve malware/virus problems? Some WinPE Ultimate version... And upload for download :-D

Britec09 I think it will be of a great help to anyone to have up to date software in Windows platform. Possibly good software would be Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, Emsisoft, TDSSKiller, Hitman Pro, etc. Thank you Britec. Keep up with good work! :-)

It won't put anything on my USB flash drive. It say that it was completed and successful and there is nothing on the drive. Its just blank, no files. I can create the .iso and flash it to the USB but I need to add extra files to the image but nothing works.
