@@damienroberts9089 Not all of us brother, not all of us.... and not by a long shot when you get offline and talk to people on the ground... the web and media gives a false impression in that regard which one has to be careful taking as read, well, I mean its caught me out before. ...In 2020 for example I was sat feeling I was alone in my dissent but then went out and found actually there were quite a few thinking as I was... they just needed a subtle invitation to speak openly, that's where a little leadership comes in, in my experience.

I’m a UK veteran of over 20 years service. When I attend our local veterans breakfast club this is a discussion we have nearly every time. This guy is completely spot on.

My son recently passed the selection process to start training with the Royal Marines. Ultimately he decided against it.
I was looking forward to seeing him pass out as a commando then I realised that right now I feel he made the right choice. I’m happy with him.
It's a crying shame - the military has so much to offer, yet your son's choice is sensible. The booties are probably one of the least-corrupted branches, but they're part of a country that's lost its way.

Same here except military a few times and merchant fleet and I’m sick of this government in uk 🇬🇧 screwing over veterans leaving them in strife and seen so many homeless veterans it truly sickens me and many of the so called veterans charities in the uk 🇬🇧 are very corrupt and not worth giving money to, many are set on millions and yet refuse to help veterans not just financially but even in time or advice they are truly abhorrent taking money from Joe public yet not doing as they promise to do . I served six months with the British army in 2012 Helmand (I'm a one tour reserve vehicle mechanic) & soon realised Major General Smedley Butler was right: War is a Racket. I saw self-serving profiteers sending young soldiers to risk life & limb on fool's missions - it was a proper Lions Led by Donkeys scenario. I still consider myself 'at war' now, fighting an information battle with the Establishment to expose their crimes & corruption - social media has been one of my greatest weapons. So despite it's pitfalls & shortcomings, I think we should invest a little more intellect into our social media use - let's raise our game in this Information Revolution we're living through, like Lindsay Bruce has just done in this very insightful interview👍👍👍

That said, we are all collectively waking up to the fact that these forever wars are always sold to us on a lie, and never waged for the well-being of ordinary people. Who wouldn't defend home and family? But to send our sons and daughters to kill or die on a false premise - it's an outrage. Thank you for speaking up about it.
I’m 53. Almost all young people in their 20’s hate the UK and want to leave. They have absolutely no sense of British history or culture (it’s just not taught) and all of our politicians are rich, corrupt clowns. It’s pretty depressing.

"Against all enemies" would seem to imply that the crown decides who the enemy is. As the parliament serves on behalf of the crown, it would seem that the threshold for enemy status has not been reached.

It's sad to hear an SAS veteran say this about the British Army but he's dead right! I joined in 79 and left in 91 and there was a very different MO and a very different feeling about the services as a whole. We knew what we were there for, knew what was expected and did it. Today, people don't want to do it BECAUSE the politicians have turned the whole country to shit, not just the forces. I wouldn't serve this country again... even the fucking king is woke!

I am a forces vet and totally agree. I was born and bred in the UK going back many generations my family have served this country. I wouldnt do it now as theres nothing worth defending! A King and 'Queen' few want.......Dark forces are taking over this country from the inside and no one in power can see it. External foreigners coming to the UK are bringing TROUBLE (we all know WHO these are but are afraid to say). If war kicked off now we dont have enough armed forces LEFT to even defend ourselves. Our SF forces are THE BEST in the world and we waste them on pointless ops! The once mighty British navy is a shadow of what it was the same with ground forces and the RAF have so few aircraft and pilots left its scary. Time for my family and I to leave and go to a better country.

I'm ex British army and when I joined the 1988 training was tough. We liked it that way as only the professional fit and normally those who could have a laugh when things was tough made it.

Nice to hear someone who has been on the ground sticking up for young people. I don’t have skin in the game, as far as never been in the military and I’m disabled. But the contempt and lack of real opportunity for young lads and lasses today, is unforgivable. The vast majority don’t have inheritance or rich relatives to give them capital. So they’ll never own their own homes, are paid worse than previous generations and have the highest cost of living since WW2! And you want them to fight for the status quo? For a government that seems to deride them. No thanks.
it's all done on purpose to keep young ones interested in joining up just look at all the recruitment commercials for the army and navy they've got no hope and if anybody is stupid enough to believe anything on the news they wrongly point out who they say are the bad guys so that makes them want to join up when the real enemy is much closer to home but you know what i'm glad to say that the younger generation are far better clued up than us older ones and i think that the vast majority wouldn't dream of serving so this country is absolutely screwed and could be overrun by almost anyone and anybody that doesn't realise this is totally deluded i once loved this country and the army but if any young lads i come across even talks about signing up i really give it to them straight don't let your sons or grandsons do it just ask them who there doing it for .
I’d struggle to name you one person in their 30s that I know who doesn’t own their own home. It will maybe vary depending where you live in the UK but I definitely don’t see this awful picture that some want to paint. The people I know in their 20s don’t expect to get a mortgage for a 3 bed semi on one salary & that’s just how it is today no point going on about how it was 60 years ago, and most 20 year olds today are more interested in travelling than settling down with a mortgage. Sure the cost of living has gone way up along with interest rates on mortgages which isn’t nice & I don’t see a lot of people throwing money round them, but at the same time most people my age are all driving a fairly nice car & have a job that at least pays the bills & whatever else. I don’t get the whole whinging about how bad it is in the UK, if you hate it that much then leave or try a different part of the UK. People today are far too online and constantly listening to others opinions . My parents never inherited a penny and managed to just both work full time & pay off a mortgage in their late 50s. I know many people my age who are on track to do the same and by then their house price will likely have gone up a lot also, but who knows.

I’m genuinely happy you have the opportunity to live comfortably, but if the latest figures are anything to go by, childhood poverty is obscene. How are these children meant to move, or leave the country? How will that help? I suggest that you open your eyes, because as much as you feel cushioned and isolated from the reality of many, many of impoverished and struggling people, it is your wealth they will come for next, when the lower classes are empty.
If the millionaires are worried about the billionaires impoverishing them, then I suggest your position is not as safe as you think.

Few years back while Working the Arizona Border, Ran into a couple Reserve Sheriffs Deputies on ATV's operating with Border Patrol...I couldn't help but notice that one of the Deputies had a Brit Accent....days flew by, we all worked well together...Found out he was a retired British Army Para, and Falkland Island Combat Vet, also served several tours n Northern Ireland...the guy was solid....Said he knew the direction the Brit Government was going Left, didn't want to to be apart of it anymore, a month after he retired he moved his whole family to the states.....they love it, he especially loves knowing he can defend his family on his property using cold steel, and boy did he have a collection....

I joined the British Army in 1982, after the Falklands war
I joined not out of patriotism but necessity. I was unemployed and needed a job and somewhere to live. Food was free and good quality, I was in Germany where I enjoyed a good standard of living.
I was a police officer after I left and watched in disbelief the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq (2001 and 2003 respectively). I policed the march that had 1 million people on it protesting at the upcoming war. They were ignored
I knew then the politicians we SEE in Parliament or Congress are just the actors, visible and there to sell the latest idea, the latest policy the latest law
But every Western country is going through the same processes.
Politicians we hope are going to change the direction just continue the madness. We briefly get our dopamine fix by THINKING we have changed course but they are just controlled opposition to keep us quiet. The real power is hidden away, secretive, unidentifiable and moving country’s around the chess board
No way would I let the government take my kids to fight a war that has no national survival aspect and even then they kicked out of me any nationalism or patriotism long ago
I have immersed myself in Ukraine and can see exactly what happened
The Americans have a new forever war to keep the arms plants churning out bombs and tanks
Just sickening and luckily we have the internet and people can now see and voice their concerns
Darker than that, Ukraine hides a very lucrative Mafia type swamp it's speciality is trafficking and money laundering, particularly lucrative is in infant trade, which creates a drug/rejuvenator worth all the other drugs combined. Only the mega rich can afford to imbibe which they do on a grand scale. Unfortunately the little ones do not survive the experience, and the more demonic of this group are sadists. I say no more on that, but sufficient to say keeping the war going in Ukraine was a matter of urgency to protect certain people in high office from exposure .A similar situation exists in Israel and to a lesser extent in Hawaii .We could look at Haiti who have had children rounded up their in the past for the same purpose, Hillary Clinton could tell you all about that. Basically this Satanic bunch are running our Governments on bribery or blackmail, and then using our taxes, military and other institutions to facilitate this.

That guy from the sas talks so much sense and i agree with what he said 100 percent and the younger generation havent got aclue whats coming over the next 15 years ,they are going to have a shock of their lives !
I'm a Pompey lad and so grew up with the Royal Navy, my Dads family were all British Army, I served in the Royal Air Force Police and then served over 30 years in the Police. I absolutely agree 100% with Lindsay. Our country needs a hard reset and return to the traditions and courage we have always been known for. Integrity, Common Decency and Duty seems alien to our society now .

Excellent conversation guys. I'm 74 - don't do social media Twitter etc. Only You Tube and that's evenings instead of the news/propaganda on TV. Don't do TV at all, where addiction to the screen started. Control what people watch, control what people think eh. Hey Lindsay - my uncle bombed the Germans in WW2, he's buried at Cambridge. My dad bombed the Japanese in the Pacific. My dad reached the same conclusions you have.
