I just loved Steve's presentations. His enthusiasm and excitement for his company's products was just amazing. I will forever love my iPhone. God bless
Apple lost its north without Jobs. Now Apple is again almost imposiible to afford. You could get a Mac for 1k for college, now? cheapest ones are at 1,300!
I am not a fan of Apple's products myself but mad props to this guy for revolutionizing the way we think of phones and you can tell he loves his baby and wants to make something his customers truly love too! The company, and the world, lost a great visionary! RIP Steve Jobs, even if I am not a fan of Apple I can appreciate this mans genius!
That's right it didn't did it. Can you imagine that now? I paid a fortune for it too. I can remember being angry too as my friends all had cheaper phones that supported 3G.
Jesus who? I am sure there are many people with that name, if you mean Christ sorry to be the one to burst your bubble but he is just make believe, like Santa Clause and the toyshop at the north pole, there is no heaven so let's all aspire to make one here and improve the world like Steve and others did and still do, religion stops people from needing answers to many big questions which if everyone accepted, "GOD" as the answer would not have required science and then your iPhone would not exist as the technology would not have been discovered!
My first iphone was the 3g. That was when my contract was due for an upgrade. I saved up to get one... I loved that it finally took a 1/8th inch headphone jack... What were they thinking with their own headphone jack on the first iphone? lol.
Really did change phones forever, yes it wasn't the first touchscreen phone and loads of features were invented by other phone companies, but what people forget is Apple managed to put all the good stuff in a really nice package which was easy to use and just the right size. Now you walk into a shop and almost every phone is a fullface touchscreen.
"You can't even begin to figure out how to use 10 features on a normal phone. That's so true. 1) Alarm 2) Camera 3) Call / text 4) using the extendable antenna was a back scratcher that's about all I can think of. lmfao
my first iPhone. I wish I still had it, I let someone borrow it and never got it back. It was bulky, but the way it thinned out at the edges... it felt awesome in the hand. And i dropped it a ton of times and never broke the screen. That browser load time... wow... Edge was really awful.
if you didn't knew it's because the first iPhone headphone jack didn't supported any headset besides the apple ones and this one changed everything now that it supported every headset available
This video was posted almost exactly 2 months before Steve Jobs would die... :/ R.I.P. to a technological genius and entrepreneur who changed the world forever
iPhone 4S was the last phone you could buy at BestBuy that was still only 3G. That's when I dumped the iPhone for an Android phone capable of 4G LTE. Then went with Android phone with twice the battery life of the iPhone 5, the Razr Maxx.
Great idea! I have a total of 32GB of music on my iMac but I only have synced 14GB of it on my iPhone cause I also wanted to put in some games, app, and leave some space to take some video and photos. Anyways I also have the iPad 2 - 32GB and there I soffer to not have the 64GB one cause on the iPad i basically watch movies, photos (taken with Canon 600D) tv shows and podcasts so I'd need more space ... :)
is it just me or is the loading icon in the notification bar slower on the EDGE video than it is in the 3G video? either iOS ran in a different way on the original iphone and i'm just being ignorant or apple actually slowed down the video a bit to make the 3G phone look more appealing
Although many say that the features of certain Android phones have far surpassed that of any iPhone (4,4S,5),which is true to an extent. But I will continue to upgrade to newer models because I absolutely love the iPhone's UI. Based on all the Androids I have tried,no UI has been as user-friendly or convenient as the iPhone's.
I'm sorry, I don't have this contextual knowledge. Well, I don't receive any info about iPhone 5, yet. So I guess we'll have to find out. Oh btw, The New iPad has 4G LTE, so why doesn't have it too, since it's newer?
The difference is so amazing now that there’s the iphone 8 and soon the iphone X. I wonder if someone will see this in ten years and will be like that’s so old now that our iPhones can hold up to two years without charging and print food.
It's because the first iPhone didn't have a flush headphone jack. Not many headphones could fit into the slim hole, so in a way it was still propitiatory
growing storage is just straight technology evolution. I don't understand why so much people don't understand this and are asking "oh! why so much storage? Isnt 16GB enough"? No! I want technology evolution and I don't plan on sticking with 16GB forever.
Each has it's own good things, I used an iPhone 3Gs for two years, switched to Android for the increased customization and widgets, have now bought an iPhone 5 because the Android phone couldn't organize it's data properly, used up all the internal memory and wouldn't let me transfer data and apps to the 32GB sd card. Android is good, but I wouldn't say it was far better than iOS, I'd say they're equal. Buy the one you prefer using, don't bash the other.
Android has been in development since 2003, but yes, Google kind of changed direction when the iPhone came out and came up with the Android we have today.
Apple set the standard for what a smartphone should be. So phones like that would have never existed because there was no motivation for other companies to make their smartphones. Without setting the standard, there would be no competition, and without competition, there's no motivation, and without motivation, there would be no upgrading. That's just the standard of Business Economics.
The note 2 HAS a stylus, it does not REQUIRE a stylus. Though i have an iPhone 4s and I love it, I've used over 15 different Android phones, even a Windows 7.5 phone an iOS is still my favorite operating system.
When Steve Jobs first showed the crowd the iPhone 3GS, they laughed as they thought he was just joking!(As it looked so similar). But then he continued about the design and they all got owned!
How can't I agree? I'm open-minded and trying to be fair. I see that initially, android UI was also for the "fixed key" phones which later eventually become more of keyboard-less UI. This was obviously influenced by iPhone. Still, I see that the android system is more open for public. Nevertheless, Apple has a significant role to change the from the past to the present day. Thank you Steve, you made revolutionary products, I'll love Apple if the marketing department isn't selfish.
I'll represent him. How? Because they designed real touch screens, not the type where you have to push hard on it, its a heat sensitive one that is a big point out of many
Crazy to see how far we have come
man these are so bad now like 1 second to load now and that took 20 seconds so much better
You're telling me
unbelievable change of Steve's look in one year, he gave his whole life to bring us to a new period RIP Steve.
I just got my iPhone 4S - White 64GB. I'm so proud of it. Thanks Steve :)
How is it
I just loved Steve's presentations. His enthusiasm and excitement for his company's products was just amazing. I will forever love my iPhone. God bless
That 3G speed tho
"More affordable" how I wish the iPhones nowadays are like that
Apple lost its north without Jobs. Now Apple is again almost imposiible to afford. You could get a Mac for 1k for college, now? cheapest ones are at 1,300!
Since 2008 i have been an iphone user. and I will continue to use Iphone no matter what :) We love you Steve Jobs. Thank you.
Crazy how the UI of the iPhone looks almost exactly the same, just with a custom background and new colors.
thanks for having my back
I am not a fan of Apple's products myself but mad props to this guy for revolutionizing the way we think of phones and you can tell he loves his baby and wants to make something his customers truly love too! @@traceycrosssim here 9 years later to tell you that you replied to yourself
RIP Steve Jobs. He's in heaven making iPhones for Jesus now.
Lol
TheGuyYouCantStand i rly can't stand you
Lmao

And for Satana
i always watch this old keynotes every time they release a new phone :)
wow 3g so advanced
It is. 480p is High Quality or HQ. High Definition (HD) is 720p or above
My first iphone was the 3g. That was when my contract was due for an upgrade. I saved up to get one... I loved that it finally took a 1/8th inch headphone jack... What were they thinking with their own headphone jack on the first iphone? lol.

The iPhone 5 has already been announced. It comes out on the 21st.
i leave it on 3g most of the day and it still loads videos in hd quite fast
I love my iPhone! Thanks Steve!
I cant stop watching Steve jobs old keynote.
i remember when the iPhone 4 came out, it was the coolest, and best iPhone to date.
More affordable! It's almost 10 years since he said that and it's still not affordable.
The first iPhone was shipped on my birthday, pretty cool
Yeah
I'm not an iPhone person...but I can definitely agree that the iPhone started the smartphone era.
This video was posted almost exactly 2 months before Steve Jobs would die... :/ R.I.P. to a technological genius and entrepreneur who changed the world forever
How is the battery on lte, ive heard it sucks it dry is that true?
Steve in conferences is great he has a great sense of humor RIP
the phone that has changed phones forever!!
@varone6t9 So even if there crap you will use them?
I think Apple's innovation started to die when Mr. Jobs did.
Remember when IPhones were actually good?
With actual headphone jacks, reasonable prices and actually useful features...
man i wish steve was still alive... keynotes arent the same without him :/

Wow edge and 3g seems so slow now lol
We'll miss you,Steve.
i miss you old apple
Happy 10th birthday iPhone 3G
i would not say started, but rather REALLY started the smartphone era
I love Steve Jobs😔
I'm an Android fanboy but I have to admit iPhone changes the smartphones forever. Thank you Apple.
wait..... at 2:19 steve's saying the iphone can support CYDIA?! :O!!!
I love steve jobs!!he is incredible.he is a genius.
i wish they would televise their events
is it just me or is the loading icon in the notification bar slower on the EDGE video than it is in the 3G video? either iOS ran in a different way on the original iphone and i'm just being ignorant or apple actually slowed down the video a bit to make the 3G phone look more appealing
It was on wifi the first time I think
Nayem Reza seems possible but the slower loading icon is a bit strange
"flush headphone jack" *everyone starts cheering".
I lost it.
If weren't for steve jobs and Apple we wouldn't have touchscreen phones till 2014
never

OMG THATS SO SLOW AND STEVE IS LIKE SO PROUD AND NOW ITS SO DIFFERENT AND FASTER
4:46-4:49 When you end your presentation in class
People actually Smirked at the first Glimpse of #iPhone 3G, thinking it to be a Joke! Then there was complete awkward silence for a minute. 😛
Steve, I miss you!
whats flush headphone jacks
when did you have it? 1998?
@Zakaria Amraoui if you listen he Said in the SAME phone you can't do 2 things at the same time now can you? On the same phone that is
That's was beautiful
It's because the first iPhone didn't have a flush headphone jack. Not many headphones could fit into the slim hole, so in a way it was still propitiatory
U cannot argue dat the original iPhone changed modern phones 4ever !!
Looking back , it did the change the phone
That cool! Appel have done good job!
Why did they give a cheer, and decently loud one at that, for a headphone jack? I guess that tells you something about the power Jobs had.
growing storage is just straight technology evolution. I don't understand why so much people don't understand this and are asking "oh! why so much storage? Isnt 16GB enough"?

I just watched the very first iPhone's keynote and came here and I saw the how badly get down of Jobs is in one year. Daamn.
The note 2 HAS a stylus, it does not REQUIRE a stylus. Though i have an iPhone 4s and I love it, I've used over 15 different Android phones, even a Windows 7.5 phone an iOS is still my favorite operating system.
I remember my first Iphone 3G
Thanks.
People complained it was too expensive? If only they knew what was waiting for them in a few years.
When Steve Jobs first showed the crowd the iPhone 3GS, they laughed as they thought he was just joking!(As it looked so similar). But then he continued about the design and they all got owned!

but why wont iphone make the next one iphone 5 and have 4g LTE
That's what it looked like to me at 1st glance too lol :p
This was my first iPhone now I have a black 4 and white 4s
R.I.P. Steve Jobs
exactly. iPhone changed the world.
I'll represent him. How? Because they designed real touch screens, not the type where you have to push hard on it, its a heat sensitive one that is a big point out of many
okay, I'll search for some, today, and maybe tomorrow.
this is the second iphone??
yes :)
iphone is the best . simple to use , powerful OS , best apps
iPhone best invention ever for mobile phones
@theturksmusic remember that this was made in 2008
The original iPhone came out over a year before the G1. I highly doubt the G1 would of been around that soon if the iPhone never existed
Almost lolled at the 21 seconds download time!!! Hahaa
스티브 짱입니다
this is the first video with 0 dislikes
Now I look at the browser test and I think that's slow (I've got a 3GS)
The 3g is still that slow in Australia :'(
RIP him apart! No but seriosly: may this pioneer rest in peace
Except Steve Jobs never showed anyone the iPhone 3GS... he had surgery, and wasn't there for the Keynote.
why he s always wear the same shirt ?
That's sure I know. Maybe in the next iPhone 5S they should upgrade to 120GB just like iPod classic so it will get awesome :)
they are saying it was 2 expensive but its about $500 £500 just to buy a new one and that isn't good
why the hell would you go from Samsung galaxy s2 to iphone 4s.
RIP Steve :,(
