    Loved this! I was at RCL's Perfect Day at Coco Cay this last April, and had an absolute *blast.* YES, it was indeed a "Perfect Day," so to speak. I had read a couple of reviews online that Harvest Caye is terrible compared to Coco Cay, and judging by this video they were dead wrong. Harvest Caye looks quite a bit more relaxed than Coco Cay - maybe even more enjoyable in the sense that only one ship can dock there. Harvest Caye looks so clean and beautiful. I know I would enjoy a visit there. *Excellent* choice of background music for this video, by the way! Loved it!

    Loved the content. The background music was kinda loud, which made it hard to hear.

    I recall on a previous visit in 2019 that the beach was messy - lots of weeds - and the sand was quite course. The drinks were very overpriced as well. Heading there again on the NCL itinerary in Feb 2024 so hope some changes since 2019.

      The beach was great. It is disappointing that the drink package and food aren’t included on the island. We went back to the ship for lunch, which was pretty easy. Hint…you can take drinks off the ship discreetly in a Yeti or drink bottle.

    Awesome! We are going to be there in 102 days! We got a Luxury Beach Villa but don't plan to be tied down to it the whole time. Were there more animals in the wildlife area?

      That is so exciting! Enjoy! Regarding the animals, that was pretty much it.

    Was the animal walk thru area included, or extra charge?
    How about the paddle boards in lagoon?
    We plan to visit January 2024.

      Animal walk through is included. And the video pretty much showed all of it. Paddle boards would be extra. Probably around $30, but I’m guessing on the price.

    Are passports needed to disembark the ship on this island? I have seen other ports in Belize require passports for travelers. But wasn't sure about this private island.

    I didn’t notice if you mentioned if there was a charge for the wildlife experience. Is there?

    • @iconic-adventures
      @iconic-adventures  4 месяца назад

      No charge. It’s included. And it’s not that big. But it was a nice little break from the sun.

    Another video said the only cards accepted at the Harvest Caye Restaurant and bar were Mastercard and Visa. Is this true? I called NCL and they were not able to answer this question.

    im confused he said on the other side there is zero entry for kids yet i saw more kids in that pool

    • @iconic-adventures
      @iconic-adventures  4 месяца назад

      It’s one really big pool. Zero entry was meant to describe the sloping entrance (no steps or drop off) where the deck gradually slopes into the water that you can see at 3:04. And you would expect more kids in that area.

    i visited Harvest Caye one month ago.my opinion of this place is a bit divided.its a very nice and enjoyable place to visit but it also feels a little fake.its a place with no history and traditions built for one purpose only: to be a nice and enjoyable place for cruisepassengers.

    • @iconic-adventures
      @iconic-adventures  4 месяца назад +1

      Agree. It’s a nice and relaxing stop. For history…well, better to get that at one of the other port stops.

    I'm sad to hear that we have to pay to eat or drink on your island. The other cruise line everything was included.

    • @iconic-adventures
      @iconic-adventures  9 месяцев назад +5

      That was the deal they made with the Belize government in order to develop the property. I also would strongly prefer for the food and drink to be included. Having said that, we walked off the ship with our Yeti's full and went back to the ship for a bite to eat when we got hungry. So, we still had a great time. But, it's good to have that information.

      @@iconic-adventures thanks for clarifying this and also the great video.... also, we are going on our first NCL cruise upcoming, so thanks for noting about the food and beverage as I am used to all of it included in RC. I will remember to bring our Yet's.... great idea. QUESTION: Did you go on any of the excursions off of the island? we are going on the Monkey River tour, and I am wondering if it is worth it to go?

    • @iconic-adventures
      @iconic-adventures  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks! We did not do any excursions at Harvest Caye. We enjoy the private islands (Norwegian's and Royal Caribbean's) so much that we prefer to hang out in and around the pool and the ocean. P.S. The drinks/food are included at Norwegian's Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.
