What a great docking lot. It has roof on it. No sun degredation!

Covered, bow-in docking. You don't know how lucky you are. We dock stern-in everywhere and there are no covered docks that we've ever seen in Southern New England. Great video.

Not bad... not bad atoll.... (see what I did there... LOL). Cheers from the Gebo Garage Channel! We keep our lil boat down at the mouth of the river/lake Erie. This video popped up in my feed. Nice docking... always nice to have an extra set of hands, too! Safe boating. Cheers!

Good job Capt. Did I hear thrusters? I not blaming you I would have them.

Looks so easy--and it isn't. Notice several things--dead slow--there is never a downside to going slow, even if you hit--it is little to zero damage, and two, going that slow, it is so easy to back off--or have the crewman with the pole help out. To the crewman, smart to get him/her out there to avoid any problem--no, you are not as good as you think--get that crewman out there, or 2 or 3 for that matter. Captain AND crewman stand ready, smart, smart people make it look easy. IF it were high winds, you would really see how smart that approach really is. "We're docking now, kids below deck, or seated if there is no below deck--capable hands on deck", alert-no screwing around. Boating IS fun, but it also IS serious. Make note of her footing --no clutter, clean, open deck and walk space--and her hands are free, IF there were high winds, or waves, or both she is ready for a sudden lurch (yeah I know she has things in her hands--that she can drop instantly) and hold the rail, or bend the knees and get low. These things are always good to review, think about.

We are young, but have been doing this for years. Your observations are correct, but this was just another day 'at the office' for us. Dealing with winds and waves are second nature to us, as is to be expected on the Great Lakes.
