Bourton On The Water | Venice Of The Cotswolds | Simply Samina

Part 2 - A beautiful Village on the River Windrush , dates back to 4000BC, with some of the oldest homes from 1930s. This stunning riverside village is known as the Venice of the Cotswolds. A wonderful day trip can be had with plenty to do for all ages, I will definitely go back again to get away from the daily hustle and bustle of life in London.
The Cotswold Motoring Museum was fascinating and so was the walk along the river Windrush. As we arrived in the afternoon most shops were closing, we didn't see the Birdland Park but enjoyed a lovely cup of tea and delicious hot scones at the Old Manse Hotel. We also met two beautiful ladies staying at Stow on the Wold, they walked for 4 hours to this picturesque village enjoying the stunning route. We offered them a lift back and they welcomed us in to show us their highly recommended accommodation, thank you ladies :)
