Thank you Jack for another EPIC vlog. The Sierra range is so breathtaking, and to see it on foot, day to day is hard to describe. I am so fired up and looking forward to my first, multi-day backpacking trip up there. Many blessings!!!!!
Jack, your whole journey has been such a huge source of inspiration, hope and a sense of well-being; so thank you for sharing your insights and outstanding documentation of the PCT. I live on the east shore of Lake Tahoe and am about to go out on my last backpacking trip of the season. I’m so grateful to be able to reset and bathe in the glory of the great outdoors. Best wishes to you!
It is such a gift to be able to live in the moment. Let all the feels come as they wish. Gorgeous video! If I end up flipping to finish in the Sierra next year I think I'd totally be ok with that!
Jack, I have learned a lot about life and how to life it by watching these videos and listening to your life’s lessons. Thank you so much. I didn’t know about the VVR or it’s hiker’s resupply. I knew about Lake Thomas Edison and the hiker’s ferry boat, but not the rest of it, the Vermillion Valley Resort.
@@HitTheTrailJack You’re welcome Jack! This is what’s awesome about Social Media, individuals can share and make an impression on total strangers. I really appreciated your kind words as well.
Jack Next next level video. Spectacular views, real talk good and bad (amazing perspective) and then quite possibly the 2nd greatest Weatherman sighting of the entire thru hike... no one said there would be a pontoon boat! Great stuff my friend. The end of this hike is pretty cool. Glad to see the Sierras not completely covered in snow PS I am throwing my support for the title of the documentary behind anything with Weatherman and Outlaw in the title. Eddie
I'm enjoying seeing this section with less snow. It is beautiful with or without snow though. Thank you for solving the "VVR" mystery for me 😂 It was on my daughter's itinerary that she recently sent me and I hadn't the foggiest idea what that meant. Then I spotted it on the boat and then you're talking about it. Hoping you're adapting to off trail life. Your upcoming doco should keep you busy for a bit.
I ran into an old guy hiking the PCT in the Harts pass area. The year before he had finished California, and this particular year he was finishing through the Cascades. He told me “up hill, down hill, flat, it doesn’t matter. I just keep going.” Did you notice that confidence as you traveled?
If I was offered a fortune under the condition that I never stepped foot on the PCT…I could never choose the money. You couldn’t buy me away from something this beautiful. Money can’t heal wounds in your soul, but this…
Didn't sound "cheesie" at all. Sounded like someone who had the luxury of time to properly ponder deeper meaning without the pressures of modern society demanding immediate answers. Perhaps that is part of your larger mission, Jack -- to help people experience that in a world that doesn't always accept it.

The opening view it the lake with the Sierra in the background was incredible! I could stop here and be satisfied.
You did a great job of expressing the joy and the beauty and the romance and the love of nature on your journey. Thankyou!
Thank you Gordon!
I found this to be a particularly beautiful and moving post. Your words, music and images melted together seamlessly.❤

Now you know what VVR is all about :) it was quite a nice spot!

100% there’s only one way and that’s forward!!

I agree you cannot put a price on that experience
Sorry for another comment/question….but what’s the story of the boat ride? Or did I miss something?
It’s how you get to VVR!

That is a mission that would make me extremely happy
