your beginner tutorials are PERFECT. i just got a practice knife for my birthday and your tutorials have been so easy to follow that i've got a lot of basic stuff down already, thanks a ton!!
Got my first balisong a few hours ago and these videos are helping me learn tricks in only a few minutes. Love these, this will def be a new hobby of mine!
Awesome tutorial not only showing the thumb rollover and wrist pass but also showing many options to combo into from the rollover. I don't see many tutorials doing this. Keep it up!!
Finally, someone with a very informative step by step tutorial. Plus, showing the moves in slo-mo it much easier to see the knife to hand positioning for each stop. Phone. Great Job, Great Video, Great Teacher. Thaks Again!
The amount of times I dropped my trainer while learning the thumb rollover... But now I can do it almost every time perfectly with my right hand (and less than half the time with my left hand). Great video and thanks a lot!
hello im from sweden and we celebrate cristmas on the 24 of december and i gom my firt balisong today and i just want to say THANK YOU SO MUTCH for helping every one and me
This is an amazing videi, didn't think I'd be able to do it so quickly. Thought it'd take me the whole day but it was only like 20 minutes, 15 maybe. This is awesome, and that choker was extremely smooth
one thing i didnt see mentioned here, and something that made this trick inconsistant from me for ages, was the starting holding position (i had it so my thumb was in the right position, but with the handle resting across the main joint in my finger, almost like a fist with the thumb on top) not allowing that little roll to turn the handle... if you look in the vid, when he flips the handle out, if you dont do the roll so your index finger moves over that gap where the blade sits when closed, itll hit the base knuckle of your thumb, instead of going more around the tip of your thumb.
I only started a couple days ago, and this helps a lot, got cut a lot along the way (neglected to get a trainer, regret it) but it’s worth it in the end
I’m about to start learning how to flip and this series is so good! Some feedback though, I think the background music is a bit much cause Jelly talks in a real good pace anyways, theres no silence to fill, perhaps in the slowmo sections only (?) + everyone loves the sound of Squid Industry knives ;) His voice + knife sounds would be pure ASMR 🫶🏻 (Or perhaps an ASMR series lol) Will get back to these vids when I get my first bali trainer in the mail !! Loving the series keep it coming!
Great Zeus’ Beard! I just ran into this dude at Walmart. Friggin weird. I knew he looked familiar. Native American deodorant that was the squid industries dude😅 rad.
So I practice with a live blade. I’m waiting for my trainer to come in. But a helpful tip I figured for practicing the wrist pass with a live blade is starting with the bite handle so if you mess up it still doesn’t cut you and when you’re ready give the wrist pass a try. My 2 cents if it helps anyone.
i was doing it slightly different cuz i was doing it just from sight (im a beginner just started yesterday) and was so close was just holding it wrong xD
I’m stumped on this idk if it’s because I’m left handed but the blade always ends up on the opposite side maybe I’m not swinging it far enough out or somthing but idk
I been trying this move for over 2yrs and only get it 25% of the time and it feels sloppy. Every other trick I make progress on but this one literally won't work. Someone help please
For everyone that struggles to get the Balance look where your finger are and how close you to the Top of the closed balisong. I just saw how the grip will fuck of the balance if done wrong. ( i did it for like 2 months and learned my issue rn as i write this comment)
For the first step it’s hitting my wrist not my thumb. I’ve tried going back and re watching it over and over again and it keeps hitting my wrist… any tips?
When you release the balisong, you want to focus on changing your grip quickly so that your thumb and index finger are on the sides of the balisong instead of the top and bottom. In this position, with your thumb sticking out, it should easily flow around your thumb.
I had the same problem first make sure you going vertically preferably standing. If that still doesn’t work change which sides your fingers are on while flipping. I’d just recommend my first tip though
Bro I'm 2 minutes in to trying and I already got a try successful Edit: I officially learned! Edit 2: IM SO FUCKING MAD... I ALREADY FORGOT HOW TO DO IT
you're not flipping it right, it can do that but you have to try different hand positions and ways of flipping it to get it, you're probably hitting your hand instead of rolling it over because of that
Man- how smooth this man just did a choker blew my mind lol
Honestly had me shook
Every flipper I have seen from squid industries is nuts.
@@kendallpryor9478 there definitly amazing flippers

Is there a simple trick for getting into thumb rollover position?
What should we do so that we don't cut our hands while training ?
I been trying to practice the thumb rollover vertically but i still cannot do it but horizontally i can how can i fix that
I’m stumped on this idk if it’s because I’m left handed but the blade always ends up on the opposite side maybe I’m not swinging it far enough out or somthing but idk
how did u pass it to the other hand like that its so cool bro

Percentage wise... How much of your hand is scar tissue?
Yes 😎

any tips for thumb rollover im struggling.
Just hurted my thumb and now its releasing red fluid
Don’t worry about that it’s normal

What is your butterfly knife i really liked it
Appreciate the tutorials. Incorporating more slow motion would be a big help.
I think mine's too heavy or thr weight disrribution is not proportion. I can't get it to roll over my thumb with a flick. I have to move my whole arm.
Cool bro thx
What practice Balisong do you recommend?
They have a lot of good trainers on their website. I’d recommend the krake raken but if it’s out of your budget you can just get a squiddy
Yummy squid trainer 😋
Do a short video on how to do an index to thumb roll over 👀❤️
Why did adding the wrist pass make the thumb rollover feel easier I’m new
I got the rollover down no problem but I can not get this wrist pass down smoothly. Any tips for a noob?

Any tips for more momentum can’t get it pas my thumb
I need help every time i go to hit the trick i throw it by the bite hadle then i catc the bite handle agian idk what to do better
May I do the trick with safe handle?
Is it bad that I did the 2rist pass naturally
@squid industries I need your opinion on a trainer, should I buy a winter nautilus or a dual tone krake raken v2.5
Those are both very different trainer so it's hard to recommend one over the other. I recommend to go for the one that you think looks cooler 😎-Lucas
I own both, theyre both good choices but the kraken edges the nautilus by a small margin jus because of weight, the nautilus is very light!
Hi, is that knife sharp?
This one is a trainer so it isn't sharp. You can find it on our website at Squidindustries.co
Thank you
I NEED A TUTORIAL SHORT OF THE THUMB ROLLOVER TO CHAPLIN!
Is it ok to do this horizontally instead of vertically
Should work if you do it fast enough
We need videos on orbits next
how did i do the thumb rollover at first try
One thing why do these training knives cost like 200 dollars you can get one for 20 dollars I’m not hating I’m just asking
200$💀 i got mine for 6$ bruh
I printed it for 47 cents 💀
You guys should alternate between beginner and advanced trick tutorials
I used to know how to do this but now i cant get it over my thumb anymore
I’m tried to do the thumb roll over and cuz I’m sitting down it flew off and hit my nuts😢
1:25 it doesnt go to the tip of my thumb, it goes to my knuckle. How do i make it not do that?
I had the same problem first make sure you going vertically preferably standing. If that still doesn’t work change which sides your fingers are on while flipping. I’d just recommend my first tip though
Nope never mind im trying to figure that part out. My first tip is still valid though
Aren’t live blades illegal
