I was brought up on Hulme Hall Lane, Miles Platting, Manchester (The lane which joins onto Alan turing Way, where the Etihad is located now)... But back then, City played at Maine Road. My old man took me to see City for the first time when i was 9 (1990). We played Spurs who had the like of Gazza and Linaker playing for them. We had Paul Lake and David White coming through. It ended in a scrappy 1-1 draw... I've been obsessed with City ever since.
I've seen my club suffer, fail, and be the brunt of numerous jokes. Mostly jokes that we make about ourslelves... "Typical City" etc
I long since passed caring about how others percieve my club. I was CTID under Joe in League 1. I'll be CTID throughout anything the future has to bring also!

Attended my first City match in 1973. My dad & I standing in the Kippax. I love being a City fan. Truly one of the oddest rollercoaster trips out there but fine with me.

I'm from a small but soccer loving town in the mountains in the States and back in high school in the early 90's all the pretentious d*wads on my team were United fans. I had some footy mags and knew the City rivalry so I showed up to training in sky blue and they bullied me even more, and I loved it. Been a City supporter ever since. When Sheikh Mansour bought it and pumped money into the club, people accused me of jumping on a bandwagon. Ugh. Gotta admit though, the club has had an amazing decade of wins... and it's a blast to watch united fade! >D

@MCFCReacts I started going in the mid 90s regularly, as a kid, it was all downhill in my first few years going to Maine Road.
Whatever has happened in the last 15 years, it’ll never get worse than that.
A season that gets overlooked is Stuart Pearce’s final season in 2006-2007.
Felt like the soul of the club had died as we didn’t have the spirit of Maine Road and the matches were so boring it was putting people to sleep.
1997-1998 and 2006-2007 are the two worst seasons in my City following career
No one actually believed otherwise. Success and brilliance always attracts hate and jealousy from some immature outsider but not all.

I lived in Manchester for 5 years and was amazed at how few City fans there really were. I'd say about 25% at best. United might draw fans from all over the country, but there are still far more of them in Manchester than there are City fans and I'm no lover of Manyoo, by any stretch of the imagination.

There are no such thing called glory hunters a lot of big clubs have a lot of fan a lot of people are telling we are glory hunters but tell me 3 good reasons why did u supported big teams instead of small team? I supported city cuz they are a good team which wins a lot but I didn’t know tat city were really good I was watching Man City vs Spurs so I supported city cuz of pep but when I see city played well I fall in love with this club. We don’t have much history, we don’t have an atmosphere in our stadium but when it comes to big games facing us such as big teams our atmosphere is lit but when it comes to premier league I admit our atmosphere at home is really bad but away Man City fans always build the atmosphere another thing they call us empthyad. I admit we have empty seats, when I watch Man City games facing small teams and big teams I noticed tat we city fans won’t fill our stadium when we are facing small teams but when we are facing big teams such as Liverpool an others our fans actually fill their empty seats. The thing upsets me about we city fans we can’t will the stadium when we are facing small teams . "QuiEtihad" The quietest supporters I've ever seen for a big club..I remember watching a City Vs BARCELONA game and it was like a library! How are your supporters not up for a game Vs Barca? Shocking, only time they give a fuck about games Vs United or maybe Liverpool. If u don't believe me, Watch highlights of City game Atmosphere against Barca/Madrid/Juventus etc. And watch the same teams vs any other British opposition. The difference in noise levels is embarrassing. City fans really need to step this aspect up, because the Football city play is probably the best I've seen for an English club.
