      Yes, I don't have an issue with it. How it should be, but unfortunately the Australian government aren't consistent in what nationalities and races they hold to a standard. That's my only bug with it. Always been law-abiding and always will be. Just want to live my life.

    My classmate was murdered in Mexico this last March on vacation. Cartels murdered him cold blood as a form of gang initiation. He was a white male who went to a all-boys private high school, was going to be an investment banker. By all means, he was "privileged." Yet, the state department has been incredibly SLOW in its investigation, borderline inaction. In all likelihood, nothing will be done to get justice. He also got no mainstream media coverage.
    Mexico is a corrupt, shithole country. If you can call it a country. Countries have enforceable laws. But I will not accept Pacheco's death was because the U.S. is racist. The double-standard in the media is blinding. This is a MEXICO problem, not a US problem.

      It's hard to say. I know that Andrew's family frequented Mexico as a vacation spot. Andrew was 100% clean and I knew him very well. Never would anyone think he'd be involved in a cartel or drug dealing. He was loved by everyone at our school. I know a little bit more about the story since I have an inside view from talking with the family and the talks their having with the State Dept. But so far it seems that it was gang initiation as a rite of passage to kill him for a new member. In the case of Pacheco, I really don't have enough info. I just think we can't rule out that he was murdered for absolutely no reason. These gangs and cartels aren't rational. They are evil in its purest, sickest form.

      I was thinking the same thing. How does someone get their throat slashed by a Mexican cartel in so short of time after being deported? Also, notice how Hook Nose says, "I don't know that he was drinking, but he was arrested for being under the influence." Think the cartels would likely slash the throat of an alcoholic nobody who just wanted a better life in America, or is it likely he was under the influence of products he sold for them and he ran afoul of the wrong people he was associating with in Mexico? Statistically, how many random bystanders get their throats slit? That's pretty damn personal. Errant shots during shoot-outs, sure, but a throat slitting is generally used on those inside the organization or a rival one.
      But he was a super student and could have been the next great physicist for America! Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....

    My mother immigrated legally when she was 12 years old and became a naturalized citizen. My father was a permanent legal resident for all his life here in the US and maintained his legal status all his life. I was born and raised in AZ. My parents were dutiful people and followed the rules. They never broke the law, and contributed greatly to their community. It pisses me off when people like these douches think letting people who come here illegally get a free pass is not a slap in the face of my parents and others who followed the rules. We want what everyone else wants: people who follow the rules. Keep things fair and consistent. TYT are so ignorant and arrogant its astonishing.

      Angel Lopez I’m English, but I follow this quite closely. I’ve noticed that legal migrants are just as, if not more, upset about the illegal immigration from Mexico than most. I understand this. People who have done the right thing, worked hard to get to where they are, and put into the community that they embrace, must be really angry. I am English, but I live in Australia as my husband is an Aussie. I see illegals coming here and really not wanting to do the right thing. It makes us all look bad. 👍🏻🌸

      Angel Lopez I agree with you 100% my family came from El Salvador. Unfortunately my dad didn't make good choices (B&E, prison gang, and deported) and will likely never come here again. He is now a different man and he owns a tool supply shop but I've never heard him blame the American gov for his choices or being in back in El Salvador struggling with his new family.

    Mexico wasn't nearly as bad just 15 years ago. It has gone downhill so badly. I live 4 hours away. We used to go regularly when you could scoot across with just a license. It is so nasty now that nobody bothers going. I have Mexican friends that won't even cross anymore.

    In my state (in Mexico) couple of days ago an advocate for the national action party, basically our center left party, because they're far too lefty to be right wing, was found decapitated by advocates of one of our far left parties, many of the advocates for this party are pretty scared to the point where they just stop advocating all together in certain areas. A couple of years ago our just elected mayor was murdered because he told the cartel that he wouldn't participate in corrupt common practices. This is considering that my state is one of the least retrograde. The level of corruption and political violence here is so high that I doubt a person from a first world country would be able to comprehend. It makes lobbying by corporate shills and other bullshit look like gods gift.
    My state, along with many of the northern states, get a lot of shit, but if it weren't for us Mexico would probably be full on socialist. I mean, I live in a place that doesn't have as many natural resources as the other states, yet somehow we end up as the final stop for people going to the US from all over latin America because we offer more opportunity for success and education than most other places. And the entrepreneurs and businessmen that make it possible are demonized, our cities are growing at an unsustainable rate so we honestly don't want more immigrants so we're demonized for that as well. We're more proud, individualist and successful as a whole compared to the South and we're demonized for that, and while we're demonized they take the money that we give to the state to keep unsustainable programs alive in the south, simultaneously they criticize us, but leech off us (we give the federal government around 1.2b USD and get back aprox 200k).
    Our political figures find it appropriate to criticize the US for enforcing it's law while ignoring the fact that we're rotting because we don't do just that, they're constantly feeding the victim narrative, even the ones that are supposed to be reasonable.
    You can't make this shit up.

      I think it's a problem with standards, to be honest. People want something better but have no idea what that looks like, so then you have all these imbeciles in politics talking mad shit, making huge promises of something better and they fall hook, line and sinker. We lack substantial political and economic education, and the free spirit that the US was founded on. Most of the northern states are proud and much more libertarian than the suthern ones, maybe because we got a taste of what an individuals hard work can bring you. Be it because we're heavily American or whatever other reason (*cough* Jewish culture *cough* xD). Since Mexico is a third world country left wing extremests arguments are much more enticing, honestly, Mexico is a really unfortunate country, we were infected by the wrong ideas at the wrong time, and that has stifled our development for decades.

      I'm a FOB. My family on both sides are very recent and aggressively proud citizens of the United States. This country can be hard but it's done right by us. Coming from the bombed out shell hole of Europe fighting to survive after WW2, having to flee the Nazis. Or the Irish side of the family being straight in the middle of the secterain and revolutionary violence of Ireland at the turn of the 20th century. With spouses, and young children in tow... You know what they didn't do? Avoid their legal duty in the name of skipping the line. Because you don't request shelter in the home of a stranger by going through a window.
      Now I'm a grown man, husband to yet another immigrant to the United States. Friend and sworn blood brother of many proud new US citizens from all over, Africa, South America, more Marines than I can count from Mexico, and at least two Canadians. They did the right thing. They paid their dues. They might not be successful in their lives, but they more than earned the right to try. To follow their own path. So don't take this the wrong way, I'm pro immigration, pro asylum seekers too, and there's certainly flaws in the current US system. But that's no excuse for busting a window on my house just because there's a line at the front door

    16:27 - Mexico did send their army to combat the cartels. The mexican army wound up taking the money and corrupting itself. Eventually civilians formed organized vigilante groups to do what their govt refused to do. The Mexican govt made every effort to disband and punish the vigilantes, but eventually acquiesced to their existence and gave them auxiliary militia status.
    Sometimes, political theory must be tested and affirmed by action.

      Yes, probably more given that foreign forces are not accountable to the people. (Also for the sake of transparency I am a Mexican currently residing in Mexico).
      The best way to understand the situation in Mexico is to think of the prohibition era, just instead of Alcohol, it's general Drugs and Latin America instead of Chicago.
      Think about it, during that time the Mafias did the exact same things the Cartels are doing (kidnappings, prostitution, gambling, etc). The difference is that because all those things happened on American soil, the people of the USA had an incentive to put a stop to the prohibition (also Elliot Ness).
      Now take the same situation, remove it from the USA, let it fester for decades, and you have an almost 1 to 1 comparison of what happened.
      Also as a note, shooting them won't solve a thing, that would just form a vacuum so other gang takes the place of the current one. It's exactly what happened with Pablo Escobar (the USA intervened, killed Pablo Escobar and cooperated with the local government on Colombia, a few years later the Mexican Cartels got ahold of the Market, because there is a demmand for Drugs in the USA and Canada).
      What real change? Legalize soft drugs the same way alcohol and tobacco then let the USA deploy their most dangerous weapon. their economy, on this motherfuckers. Then without the infinite stream of cash flowing through the border, we will be able to clean house.

      TheAngryPolack 97 not cost efficient nor effective, drone patrols could do the job for a fraction of the cost and there’s no way to dig under them. The amount of resources it would take make it prohibitive. You can just go under a wall with no consequence, if we had flying robots watching you could get such a high rate of enforcement that it would make trying worthless within six months. It would also be investing in employment for Americans and the infrastructure is easily updateable. If you build a wall you will still need to constantly monitor it and the surrounding area.

    not part of the major thread... but, california's water shortage is because they don't manage their water properly (they don't recycle their water). there are other nearby states, with much less water overall, that don't have this problem because they are better stewards of their water supply. And, of course, the california laws have exemptions for rich people (pools, water features, etc.) so the people who suffer the most from this are the working class and poor.

    I don't know how it is elsewhere, but a DUI is *serious* business in the USA. It may be elsewhere, but I dunno.
    I know that in Mexico it's pretty much not even considered a crime in most areas, if any.
    If you are here illegally, driving around drunk in a 1 ton hunk of steel you gotta go. If you're here illegally and NOT doing that; you still gotta go.

      I think one DUI you should lose your license. I also think if you harm someone while driving drunk you should serve a penalty as though the crime was intentional; for example, if you kill someone while driving drunk you're guilty of 1st degree murder (not manslaughter as it currently is). It needs to be a felony to drive drunk .

Read Chapter 3"... ... ...then, after 30 seconds, one of the 'rambunctious' kids spits a spit-ball at another kid... ...that kid retaliates by the same thing... ... then a different kids gets involved...some kids laugh... ...then another joins, and another, and in 3 minutes the whole class is divided into two camps, each spitting spit-balls at each other, hiding behind the teachers desk, using books as shields, and everyone laughing and having a good time "misbehaving". ... ... The the teacher comes back "What is going on here!?! Bobby? Did you start this?" ... "No, not me" ... "Why did you do it then? Huh?" ... "Well, everyone was doing it, so it was ok" ... ... "Is that true? Raise your hand if you joined in" ... everyone raises hand...
    Now, a "normal" person would say "Ok. Everyone gets extra homework, but no detention. You were honest".
    But a Leftist/SJW says "Ok. Well, if everyone did it, I guess it's ok then. Carry on".

    FYI, when the left says "Illegal immigrants pay taxes" they are not talking about federal income taxes that are taken out from ones paycheck. They mean state taxes, which everyone pays, when you buy anything. So in their minds, they are telling the truth. Love your work. Keep it up.

    Technically since he was a "dreamer" he would have been paying taxes... but he committed a serious crime and lost his status. So yes he probably could get scholarships. Though he had enough time to apply to be a legit citizen to prevent this issue, but I guess he either didn't think of it or just didn't care to become a citizen.

She had no intention of getting a job, just to collect money from the tax payers. I told her she was a fucking embarrassment.

    This whole attitude is one of the things that perplexed me the most about progressives. I just can’t fathom the mental gymnastics it takes to HATE cultural appropriation and colonialism... but then be such advocates for people to enter other countries illegally.
    I don’t understand why they think it’s so egregious to think that the punishment for someone who is somewhere that they don’t have a right to be is to remove that person from that location.
    I don’t get why they get so upset when you say that someone is in a country illegally. The whole “humans aren’t illegal” mentality. Like of course everybody has human rights, but that doesn’t mean that those humans are allowed to break laws.
    Ugh.
    I just want a system where if you’re found to have been breaking a law, the prescribed punishment for that law is justly carried out regardless of who you are. And to me, a just punishment for people who are in a county illegally is to send them back to where hey fame from. I can’t think of any better way to right that wrong.

    This issue baffles me, and I don't see it as a racial one. I wouldn't even think of sneaking into a secure area - a stadium, Disney World, an airport, Area 51, wherever - and then say "well I'm here now, so I can stay right?" And I'm pretty sure Mexico is very stringent on border control from the South. Even the Vatican has walls.
