He's kind of right tho. These two don't necessarily cancel each other out. Edwards would lose due to MJ's scoring ability, but He'd also score on MJ. The game has evolved way too much and the moves and pace that today's Superstars use weren't even considered a possibility back then. Furthermore, one thing that is utilised today that MJ's was lacking is the 3pt. Today's guards can shoot from the logo mid game without being forced by the clock, just coz they are truly able to do so. Mixing up your game outside of the 3pt line is a game changer. You improve your double threat game while forcing the defender to leave the paint, creating more space to pass him by. In MJ's era, you needed a killer mid-range to force defenders to respect you and guard you closely without just blocking your drive.
MJ is so competitive. If Jordan was in this era, he would have adjusted and worked on shooting 3s. Kobe had the same game as Jordan, but people wouldn't say Kobe couldn't play in this era. Jordan would have adjusted. People for get how athletic Jordan was.
@reginaldreavis4617 I hear that. But the truth is, we'll never know. Maybe today's nba would prove too much for mj, maybe not. But his skillset has been surpassed for sure. If we are talking 90s MJ vs today's superstars, young bloods will fare better in the nba. Not talking about 1v1.
