Jordan saying that a guy has some similarities to his game doesn't mean Jordan is saying he's as good or anywhere near. Yet we know inevitably this is where this debate will go. NBA needs a new super star to compare to Jordan. This has happened all the time since he's retired. From Kobe to Vince to McGrady to Lebron to Edwards and many in between.
Anyway, nobody can really compare to Jordan. His resume is way too OP. You can compare individual aspects, but as total package it's not even close. It's not just the 6 rings and 6-0 in Finals with 6 Finals MVPS. It's the 10 scoring titles in 11.5 healthy years as a Chicago Bull. Think about that level of dominance. That's basically winning the scoring title every year as a Chicago Bull where he was actually healthy and played the season. Think of some of the greatest scorers of the past 25 years....Kobe, Lebron, McGrady, Doncic, Durant, etc. NONE of these guys have more than 2-3 scoring titles. They're nowhere near the level of dominance of Jordan as a scorer. Then add the fact he was also one of the greatest defenders of all-time. And add the titles, the clutch plays, two 3peats.....The only team in the last 25 years to win a 3peat are the 2000-2002 Lakers. Only happened once in the last 25 years while Jordan did it TWICE in 8 years. Levels.
THEN....Add in the sheer eye test.....Jordan was the most athletic guy in the league by far. And his game was poetry in motion. It's one thing winning scoring titles and stuffing the stat sheet....It's another thing to also have the most pleasing and jaw dropping game to look at. Dunking over PFs and Cs....Great handles. All-time great footwork and fundamentals and hesitation moves, etc, etc. There's a reason everyone wanted to be like Mike. Kobe wanted to be like Mike...Lebron entered with #23 because he wanted to be the next Jordan.....In other words, even some of the greatest players wanted to be like MJ because they knew he was the pinnacle of the sport.
I say all this to say; STOP comparing guys to MJ. Not only does it put unnecessary pressure and expectations which aren't fair to the new guys but it also disrespects and belittles Jordan and everything he was and accomplished. Not to mention, these aren't even serious or realistic debates to begin with. They're just clickbait to get easy views by stirring controversial statements. The closest anyone has ever been to MJ is Kobe though. From having the same height and body to very similar move set and abilities and intense mentality. And even as great as Kobe was he ultimately fell short by a good 30-40% imo. These other guys should get to Kobe's level first before they get compared to Mike.

Key was totally right. People used to say the same about Jordan in the 80s when he got compared to Dr. J, etc. I'm a big Jordan fan but man its the NBA, even if yourejust that great, sometimes it still isn't enough. He's a kid that's got time and hopefully he keeps growing.

Playoff wins & early success is two different things. Jordan had alot of big games where he came through scoring wise & from a competitive standpoint wise, aggressive in getting the ball to score and make a play or take the last shot. Some games he won some he lost. But MJ made it to the playoffs every year he played for the Chicago Bulls. Of course there were big games

The poster dunk over John Collins has officially made Anthony Edwards my favorite current player to watch in the NBA. I still have Kawhi Leonard at No. 1 because he plays for my Clippers. And Paul George is at No. 2. But Anthony Edwards is at No 3 and my favorite non-Clipper player right now.
I think some Jordan/Kobe/DWade fans are misinterpreting what we’re saying about Ant. We’re not saying Ant is as great as them or will ever be as great as them. We’re saying he reminds us of them. He’s a combination of MJ, Kobe, DWade, and Vinsanity. MJ fans were mad 26 years ago when people were comparing Kobe to MJ.
Anthony Edwards really fits that mold of exciting SGs who happens to be a highflyer while still having offensive skills without it being only dunks. The 70s through 90s were really about dunks. That was the ultimate middle finger to your defender if you can put him in a poster. Then deep, deep threes became a thing and dunks became boring.
I’m glad Anthony Edwards who is a capable scorer from outside the paint is bringing that old school Air Jordan/Air Canada poster dunks back into this game considering Steph and Dame can shoot the three very deep but aren’t highflyers like Elgin, Dr. J, Skywalker, Nique, MJ, and Vinsanity were. He fits their mold.
Incredible young player. He almost did the same thing to Anthony Davis last week. I say Ant, Luka, and Wemby run the league after Jokic stops winning more rings in 5 years. Jimmy Butler and Anthony Edwards are the long lost sons of Michael Jordan.
    Favorite Current NBA Players
    1. Kawhi Leonard
    2. Paul George
    3. Anthony Edwards
    4. Damian Lillard
    5. Victor Wembanyama
Another exciting player to watch if his head is right is Kyrie Irving. I know he’s a Kobe disciple but Kyrie might just be the most skilled player ever. He’s more efficient than Kobe going 50-40-90 and he probably has the sickest handles. Watch him cross Kobe and pretty much anyone in the 2012 USA practices.
Steph Curry, Damian Lillard, Kyrie Irving, and Anthony Edwards are all more exciting players to watch than LeBalco Shames.

Anthony Edwards is the next Chosen One. I saw his potential the moment he baptized Watanabe during his rookie season. The kid has crazy springs in him. The only thing I didn’t like what he did was when he texted that IG model, Paige Jordae, to get an abortion. I guess you can say he just committed abortion on John Collins’ career! 😂
Kobe Bryant and Kawhi Leonard play more like late 90s Michael Jordan while a young Dwyane Wade and Anthony Edwards play like 80s Michael Jordan. I was watching a video where Ewing blocks MJ’s shot. Next play, MJ cleanly blocks Ewing. MJ was VENGEANCE. Only Larry Jordan was better than him he said since Mike copied of all his older brother’s moves.
Anthony Edwards at the age of only 22 needs to be the face of this league. He came in 2 years after Luka and Shai and may get further them in the playoffs by Year 4. Goodbye, LeBalco. Hello, Ant. I’m an Ant fan to the Ant-Man!!
