This ruclips.net/user/postUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo unit was an easy install and turned out amazing. The dimensions were exact! I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for the awesome product just in time for the holidays.
Great information. This video helped guide us in looking for a 6" depth linear fireplace. We considered the Amantii Symmetry Bespoke, the Dimplex IgniteXL and the Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim. We went with an 80" Modern Flames Landscape Pro Slim. Here's why: 1) The trim is thin and sleek, and we had the option to go trim-less, which we did. (This knocked the Amantii out of the running for us, but otherwise the Amantii was appealing). 2) We wanted a fireplace that would integrate with Google Home so that we can use voice commands to turn it on and off (rather than digging out the remote control or manually switching it on and off). Integrating the Modern Flames with Google Home was easy and, so far, using voice commands to turn it on and off works flawlessly. The Dimplex lacks this feature. 3) We like the flames and the color options of the Modern Flames better than those on the Dimplex. 4) Our fireplace is mounted in a room with large windows that provide a lot of natural light. We liked having the option to replace the glass with the screen to reduce/eliminate reflections. After installing the fireplace and trying it out, reflections off of the glass are not bad at all (maybe because the glass is slanted backwards), so I don't think we will be needing the screen. Side Note: We are using the fireplace for aesthetics, and not really concerned about the heat output (we live in a sub-tropical climate). However, if we lived where winters are cold, the higher heat output of the Dimplex if using 240V would have been a major consideration.
I love the video and this comment. I am down to the exact same 3! Would love to include the Orion but it's just out of my budget. Again, I love these videos they have helped me SO much and this comment has helped me to choose the Modern Flames Landscape pro Slim.
Great video. Normally at 30 minutes I’d skip through, but you’re so informative, honest and critical when need be, that I watched the whole thing. Now I just need to decide if I’m gonna wait another year for the Bold.
I came in searching for the most realistic-looking fireplace. The Opti-Myst is by far the leader, and living in South Texas I have no need for heat. Thanks for the video!
Personally, I think the flame on the Modern Flames Pro Slim is much more full then your No. 1 pick right below it. The flame on the Ignite looks sparse. Maybe it's different in person. Thanks for the informative video. I'm looking into electric fireplaces at this time.

I was utterly surprised to discover you can purchase electric 'fires' with no heating element. Obviously useful if you live in a warm climate, but of no value whatsoever if you live, like me, in the UK. Still some incredibly helpful videos posted by you so thank you.
silly me, I thought electric fire places were cheaper than gas! These are $2800 to $5000!!!! The cheapest "runner up" model is $2100. There has got to be a very nice profit margin on these units. might want to mention at least ball park price as that is one of the biggest factors!
I just returned from a fireplace store and looked at the Pro Slim on the wall, lights on and off. It looked SOOO fake, I hated it. Looked like geometric shapes on the wall. Now I will admit the remote he was using didn't quite look like the one you used, and didn't have a color wheel, so maybe it was an older model?? Anyway, wish the store had the multi thicker one to compare. Will keep looking. Thank you.
Just curious.....how close to a tv can a built in electric fireplace be installed in a wall? The reason I ask is because what I mostly see is the TV mounted high on a wall. This is out of the question for me as I like my tv mounted lower on the wall ,at eye level when sitting. Thanks 😊
Hello, Thank you for the great video! I've found it now and I'm looking for a fireplace solution at the moment into my livingroom. I loved the Dimplex Opti-Myst. I'm from a little country in the middle of Europe and at the moment it seems I can't reach a distributor. Do you maybe know is there a possibility to reach them from here and aquire the good. :D Thank you in advance!
Are there any realistic electric fireplaces that look like a traditional fireplace/hearth? A bit disappointed that this video only had the long/linear ones. Some don’t like that modern look.
As kool as your #1 is and I got to admit it is a really awesome electric fire place for sure. I love the #3 spot. The #3 electric fireplace has to be my personal favorite and it’s the most realistic one from all the others. The one problem I do have is the water vapor. Usually machines with water vapor end up leaving mold behind. Does it have like a filter for the vapor or is it like gotta clean and wipe down after every use??
So we're in colorado and its really dry here. We never have any mold on this unit or anything like that. They actually just made a brand new Dimplex Opti-myst that changes colors. We havea video on it if you want to check it out 😁
@@embersliving well that dryness helps a lot for the moisture which is pretty good. But for a place like Texas it might be a little different which is why I was asking. But I will for sure check it out. Thanks
That's the Netzero water place . It really depends how large you go. it can range from 3k-6k. We don't ship to UK. It should work there. It does best indoor.
Thanks for the update on the Ignite Bold. Don’t think I am going to wait a year. Looks like I have a decision to make. I don’t like the glare on the current Ignite. Also, I am not wild about its flame pattern. Out of your five, Linnea by European Homes is my favorite. Love it, especially the logs and flame pattern as it is the most realistic looking fire in your top 5. Its pricey but I think it might(?) be worth it. Also I am not sure about its width that is exactly the same width as the old brick traditional fireplace (hearth on the floor and gas line are all that remains) which was dry walled over before I purchased my current home. Maybe 🤔 I should stay traditional and go with the Revillusion? It’s cheaper and I like its flame pattern the most. Does the Linnea have the 220 option? Though I’m mostly into fireplace aesthetics, I would like some heat.
I was gonna also pick that one for most realistic one. Until I saw the video a second time. And then I changed my mind and feel like the #3 was the most realistic looking fire place. Cuz of the way they made the wood 🪵 burning like how they get super red before turning into embers. That’s what caught my eye the most. Only thing I’m worried about is the water vapor. Even tho that’s what makes the fire look more real and awesome. I’m kinda concerned on mold from that water vapor. But again I gotta agree with you that European one looked the most clean and elegant out of all the others. So that was a good choice on your part man. Hope you got it and are enjoying the beauty 👍🏽

What do you suggest for a long 60 inch peninsula open 3 sided waterplace in Florida (where are building from scratch) where I don't care about the heat or changing colors. I just want the most realistic flames. The no2 its just the same effect in 4 sections made into one. Cant believe it's so expensive. It doesn't look good at all you'd get a better led effect lot cheaper.
I live on the east coast but I still can't understand why anyone would purchase a fireplace that doesn't put out Heat. That's like a deli that doesn't sell meat
@@embersliving Maybe if I were rich... Anyways, my family just ordered a new 33-inch PuraFlame. I hope it works out okay. Dimplex is a bit too expensive but I hope the PuraFlame isn't a $450 flop.
I think you're#1 is my last favorite, because the flame is smaller and more spread out and I don't like the jewel looking embers. Of course I understand those are your favorites, im just stating my opinion.
Hi Trevour, good video, but if you want a true new No1 product the Brish Charlton and Jenrick i series has taken the UK market by stoirm and is now coming to the USA - check it out you will love it, great logs, great underbed and great smooth relaxing flames!
I don’t like any of these. I want a traditional fireplace with a mantel. It’s a free standing fireplace. I don’t have one because the height is really low that they look phony. I want one that is at least 55 inches from the floor to the top of the mantel and I’ve never found one.
@@maryb7448 I actually put up an in depth review of mine on my channel. Take a look. That is the only real concern I have as well but Dimplex is supposed to contact me next month about scheduling a fan replacement to quiet it down.
I dont get it . When I look at $100 dollar Infrared heaters that are way smaller they have just as much BTU and wattage as the two thosand dollar fire places. What gives? Are these just for the looks. It seems gas is the way to go

for electric there are really only two I recommend. The faber, or the Dimplex Revillusion
I need a fireplace for decoration in my house in Jamaica, which one would you recommend, not for heat,
any of these
The no2 its just the same effect in 4 sections made into one. Cant believe it's so expensive. It doesn't look good at all you'd get a better led effect lot cheaper.
ok
Dimplex does not have best warranty . After sales service appalling. Try Valor New Forest 48.
I think its really subjective to who you buy it through, our customers dont have a problem, cause they have us!
I live on the east coast but I still can't understand why anyone would purchase a fireplace that doesn't put out Heat. That's like a deli that doesn't sell meat
Great video. Can we put electric top vents fire place? Cheers
what do you mean
What about the MagikFlame Holo Flame?
Not in the Embers top 5
@@embersliving Maybe if I were rich... Anyways, my family just ordered a new 33-inch PuraFlame. I hope it works out okay. Dimplex is a bit too expensive but I hope the PuraFlame isn't a $450 flop.
@@UltimateEnd0 you never know! good luck.
Did Dimplex discontinue the free standing stove type heaters?
for the most part yes
I think you're#1 is my last favorite, because the flame is smaller and more spread out and I don't like the jewel looking embers. Of course I understand those are your favorites, im just stating my opinion.
Have you seen our updated top 5?
Ok I’m looking for a 2 foot log fireplace. I’m wanting to have it in a massage room
we have lots. Amantii and dimplex make some of my favorite electric fireplaces.
Nice shorts guy look professional😂
Thanks
Still do not know the prices ? How much they costs
We have all the updated prices on our website .
@@embersliving send me some Link. Thx
Thanks so much for the detailed info.
I can make a fire colorful like a rainbow. Are you interested?
not really
I don’t understand including 2 “fireplaces” that don’t put out any heat. Seems pointless.
Yeah, some of these units are just fir looks.
@@embersliving I guess I can understand that if you live in a place that you really don’t use heat, like Florida.
My fire does not do anything when l switch it on could it be the wiring
could be
Is it really a fire if it has no heat? Isn't it more lighting
more lights
Hi, does this unit have to be built into a wall or can it be hung on the wall with the trim kit?
Thank you
which one?
I’ve been trying to find the one with the wine cooler it was so beautiful but it’s not available anymore sadly 😞
interesting
@@embersliving I wanted that one so bad I could just see it in my living room on a cold winters night 😌
Hey kinda off topic but where did you get those shorts?
haha Hurley
New houses in UK are small. Any real flame built in fires less than four foot wide
hmm not a lot
Hi Trevour, good video, but if you want a true new No1 product the Brish Charlton and Jenrick i series has taken the UK market by stoirm and is now coming to the USA - check it out you will love it, great logs, great underbed and great smooth relaxing flames!
Thanks for the info!
Any update on the bold?
unfortunately no, they are really doing a bang up job with it
What happens on the vapor models if you have high mineral water?
you would want to use a filter
can you send me the link to the fireplace at 19:00 ? I cannot find the exact model

Hi, do you Ship fires to Australia?
we do not
For the first time..i see such devices exist.....
nice!
I don’t like any of these. I want a traditional fireplace with a mantel. It’s a free standing fireplace. I don’t have one because the height is really low that they look phony. I want one that is at least 55 inches from the floor to the top of the mantel and I’ve never found one.
wait a real fireplace or an electric one
@@embersliving Electric
That would be an electric fireplace. No real one to have to clean no way
That no 1 has the worse looking flame
This is an older top 5. You should watch one of our newer ones.
Btu outputs would have been nice
All electrics are the exact same. 5,000 btu. If they can do 220 then 9,000
Surprised why no mention of the Dimplex Revillusion?
that is going in our more traditional electric videos vs. The linear style here. Out of the traditional boxes, its by far the best
@@embersliving Lol good to hear your opinion there. I just bought one a few weeks ago.
@@gh05t_mv I am looking at the Dimplex Revillusion also. But I've seen a few reviews that say it's loud. Your thoughts on that.
@@maryb7448 I actually put up an in depth review of mine on my channel. Take a look. That is the only real concern I have as well but Dimplex is supposed to contact me next month about scheduling a fan replacement to quiet it down.
Do you guys ship to Canada
unfortunately we do not
I dont get it . When I look at $100 dollar Infrared heaters that are way smaller they have just as much BTU and wattage as the two thosand dollar fire places. What gives? Are these just for the looks. It seems gas is the way to go
Yeah your making the assumption that people buy for heat. Most people buy for looks, and like the heat as a nice side benefit
@@embersliving I most definitely am . Heat for value is my priority
What's the one above the European ?
ruclips.net/video/7Qjlarrr6II/видео.html
I dont care for the flat ones .I love the old school
ones with the mantle. My boy and his wife has the flat ones in the bed room but the mantle one in the family room.Give me my old mantle with electric features. And I dont want no rainbow colors.Just regular fire.
the colors grow on you !!
Ignite bolt
Nice! Thanks for watching.
