Just a quick clarification of the memory modes in the DP modules.. There are 8 memory 'slots' available. Each will remember the CV and CC settings. The M1 and M2 settings are directly available by holding down the buttons on the panel. The full set of 8 (M0-M7) are accessed via the double SET menu. This video (in German, but it is pretty obvious) shows the procedure.. ruclips.net/video/ZU91VNcEsaY/видео.html I've just ordered a DP50V5A to use with a 50V boost converter and a 20V laptop-style PS. I have stripped the laptop PS down to the inner metal housing and will mount it in a plastic box that previously had a linear PS and transformer that burnt out while charging a NiCd battery that went short-circuit! I'm thinking of putting in a switch to select either the direct 20V output of the laptop PS module, or the output of the boost converter to feed the DP50V5A. That should reduce heat buildup in the boost converter when drawing high currents at lower voltages.
I used one of these units in my bench power supply that I built a couple of years ago, but the 3 amp version, and am quite happy with it but always use it at a lot less than its rated power setting! I also never really use all the various functions.
Have you been able to get the presets to work? The instructions say "After data setting done, keep pressing SET more than 2s, all the data you set are automatically stored into the specified data group. In the same time, you can see the group number on the right of screen." However, as soon as I press SET, the display immediately returns to the main screen and the data is lost. I think the instructions must be incorrect. How do I set the presets?

they are great value and easy-to-use
why S-ini is taken out from menu ??

So if im not wrong this module is rated for 50v and 5 amps output. Can it deliver that much power without a problem?
I don't think my transformer can supply that much power. I've had 3A out of the module.
@@MartynDavies ok, thank you for the answer sir
