- Long time no speak dear people!
I haven't uploaded in a while because I was going through quite a bit life change. I have moved from the small seaside town of Bognor Regis to the city of Bristol! I have moved for a new job and hopefully better oportunities for wildlife photography and making videos for you all.
Speaking of which, this is the first from my new location. I want to bringing you at least one video a month from now on but hopefully two. Though obviously this is very often dependant on the wildlife playing ball. This is my fourth attempt at making a video here so I hope it doesn't disappoint.
Please let me know what you think and ask as many questions as you would like in the comments below.
Thanks for sharing this video. In India the winter season is in full motion. In my locality where I live the minimum temperature is between 8 to 9 degree in winter. My passion is birding & bird photography. In winter season several migratory bird spices like Northern Pintail, Ruddy Shelduck, Northern Shoveler, Common teal, Ferruginous duck, Gargani, Common Shelduck, Red-creasted Poachard , Tufted duck ,Blue Throat, Siberian Rubythroat , Taiga Flycatcher and many more visit in our locality. Seeing your dedication and love for photographing birds gives me a immense pleasure because we are birds in same feather. Hats off to you.
Glad to hear you are making the most of your seasonal bird activity! Glad you are enjoying the videos! I will try not to dissapoint in future ones :)

Wow, that's dedication to your art! Fantastic footage and images!! I agree about parks - we are in Alberta, and often see more wildlife in the City parks than during our trips to the mountains.
Look forward to seeing more videos soon.
Thank you Andy! Glad you like the content! Alberta must have some pretty cool wildlife though! Glad you are enjoying urban wildlife yourself! I will try not to dissapoint with future videos!

Thank you ! Glad you think so,and i am chuffed that came across!
Great video, and much fun seeing your enthusiasm in wildlife situations. The dipper is the national bird of Norway, so its a familiar bird for me, and very cool that you got so close to it!
Thank you Magnus, that really means a lot! And that's definitely a cool national bird, i imagine snow shots of them would look stunning!
I really like the video, your work with the animals is really fine. Congrats. Hope to see more stuff.
Cheers Gonzalo! Really apprecaite it :)
flipping fantastic dedication
Cheers Showshine! All worth it for the shot :)
Good commitment to the shots Matt.....and well worth it too!
Hi Phil! Thank you, much appreciated, cheers for watching :)
Great video! So wonderful to see a true wildlife photographer who waits for the wildlife to come to him. Thank you for setting a terrific example. If the wildlife changes its behaviour due to your presence, you're too close. So happy to have found you. New subscriber from Canada :)
Thats it! If the wildlife reacts to you then you are too close or you have not hidden yourself well enough. Which admittedly can sometimes be a case of learning from your mistakes when it comes to hiding and waiting. But as long as you are not chasing it i think you can go home happy even if you have no photographs for that day. Thank you for watching and i am glad to hear you agree.
Amazing video, i wish you a lot of great moments to capture and share with all people who loves nature.Cheers, Ady !
Awww thank you Ady! Thats the plan, I have lots more videos on the way :)
Awesome ... so beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video and photos! I’m going to go out and explore some of my local city parks now. Got yourself a new subscriber, as well. Thanks for the inspiration and information.

Thank you Adventureresting ! Yes a very nice bulgarian man fixed it :D, and invited me to Bulgaria to make a video as well :D. So good to hear there are more and more channels starting! Thank you for your comment, and a merry christmas to you as well!
this is some quality content. I like this. SUBSCRIBED !
Awww thank you Puneet! And glad to have you aboard!
I was lucky enough to watch them on the River Usk in Wales & totally agree, they are marvellous little birds. I found at times I wasn’t even taking photos, I got a different kind of enjoyment out of just watching them. Great video, fantastic shots, well done I know exactly how you felt at the end.
Chuffed you got to see some as well, they are such charasmatic birds! Thank you for your lovely comment!
Great vlog! That is one strong little bird, it flipped that stone like nothing! Nice video footage, I love those slow-motion shots.
I know right! So strong! Such a cracking little animal. Thank you for your kind words as well :)
Very nice vid, Matt! I also saw and photographed my very first dipper a few weeks back; such a great little bird.
Thank you Steve!
Glad to hear you got your first dipper shot! I hope you didnt have to get as cold and wet! :D
Thank you for watching!
One of the most useful video for me
Aw well thats lovely to hear :). Thank you for your comment!
Absolutely loving viewing for a Sunday evening! From one UK resident to another, it was endearing seeing your genuine pleasure in taking photographs and your passion for wildlife. It reflects in your work, and your video was a pleasure to watch because of this. Onwards and upwards!
Cheers Mike! Glad you enjoyed it! And i do absaloutely love British wildlife! It's brilliant! I do understand why people often overlook it though given what we are shown on our tv screens with incredible shows like Planet Earth. But i'm glad you share the love of our local treasures!
Glad to see your videos again Matt. I do 95% of my nature photography around the small Goffs park pond in Crawley and tend to stand in one spot for hours and let things unfold in front of me. As I study their behaviour it makes my photography that much easier although you can never go out and predict what will turn up. That's why nature photography is never boring.
Your videos are always true to life and you show that the photographs take time and a lot of effort to produce the results you are looking for. The dipper was brilliant and his body ended up a lot drier than yours!
Looking forward to the next instalments next year. Thank you. Happy New Year Matt.
Thank you Frank! Yeah i completely agree with the sit and wait technique. It almost always results in better photos for me anyway! And yes, i plan to keep the videos as real as possible, thats the beauty of you tube. No big corporate roadblocks hiding the reality.
Thank you for stopping by, the next is 19/01/2019 :) And happy new year to you too
Beautiful photographs!
Great video ,i enjoyed watching it. I like the way you got low in the perspective to get the interesting birds eye view of the birds. Well done.
Thank you Armando! Getting low is really what i find to be the easiest way to give a photo impact for sure :). And thank you!
I've come to this one a bit late, but glad I did! terrific video and pictures, especially the grey wagtail and dipper, two of my favourite birds, thanks Matt.
Better late than never ey Tom! :D Glad you enjoyed it :)
I like you nice upbeat personality and style. Good job.
Thank you Janet! Thats really nice of you to say! :)
Awesome video with a great message that you can find interesting shots and animals in your local area if you take time and care and be respectful and mindful of the creatures around us every day. Great work.
Respect the wildlife and give it the space it needs and you will be rewarded with much more intimate photos in my experience. Glad to hear you agree Graham.
Thank you for watching !
Thanks for sharing - a great set of photographs and good dedication :-)
You're welcome S S Cheema! Thank you for stopping by!
wow thats so cool!!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Hi Matt, an absolutely gorgeous vid! A stunning experience and the White Throated Dipper is so lovely. Totally devoted to photography you got in December into water and soaked wet .... 😳! Very impressing. Beautiful photos. This encourages me to have a closer look in the parks around me ... 😉
Thank you Andrea, glad you liked it! Ha, you really don't feel it... that is until the walk back to the car :D. I am so chuffed to hear you will look at your parks a bit closer now! That is my aim with the video. To make people look again at their local wildlife :)
Awesome content and very engaging, I'm also visiting more and more city parks to see what they have to offer and not dissapointed.Keep it going.
Thank you Athar! Yes, city parks can hold so much!
Thanks for the kind words :)

Really good content mate! Great to see you again. And you got some awesome footage and pictures of many great species. Really loved the behavior shoots of the dipper. Cool to see how it flips the stones. And also the low angle that I love myself :) Great job!
Glad you like it mate, you seem to be thriving yourself!!! Your channel is taking off, congratulations btw :D. Thanks for the complement!
Hi sir
Yeah, that stone flipping was amazing!

Thank you for the comment Brandon! Glad to have you on board, i will try not to dissapoint with the next one :D (release date 19/01/2019)
Great video Matt. I recently found you and am now a regular follower. Seen dippers lots of times, but never turning stones, brilliant. Also good to see somebody else who gets wet and mucky for their pics!
Hi Deborah! Welcome aboard! You are lucky to have had lots of experinces with them, they are awesome little birds. I am sure i won't be able to resist the pull of them in the winter, especially if it snows! :D.
Congratulations on finding a Dipper to watch and photograph! They are just the most interesting and adorable birds! I'm going to subscribe and look for more of your work!
Thank you, a little bit of luck never hurt anyone :D.
They really are incredible little birds. Thank you for the sub and I hope the other videos don't disapoint. I have lots more on the way :D.
Awesome 👊🏻 i really like your b roll footage👍 I actualy think it's realy cinematic. Keep up The good work.
Thank you Conny! Glad you enjoyed that bit! That is what I want to work on in the furture and improve :). Thank you for watching!
I really enjoyed going along with you one this outing. I appreciate how respectful you are of the wildlife!
Awww thank you G.T.K.N i am glad that comes across, i feel its so often a line that photographers cross so i want to prove it can be done without disturbing the wildlife.
Yes, I've definitely seen other photographers cross that line and it always makes me nuts. It disturbs the wildlife and gives the rest of us photographers a bad name. So thank you for showing that you can get great shots while still being careful.
Amazing pal. Incredible photos
Cheers Will, much appreciated!
well done, great work

Good to see you back Matt,Enjoyed the video. I moved from Torquay in Devon to Perth Australia 8 years ago, don't miss your weather, although was 106 degrees here yesterday.
I mostly specialize in birds and wildlife and really love it. A couple of days ago I photographed 2 birds for the first time. A red tail black cockatoo and the Rainbow bee eater.
It's amazing when you go out and see something you weren't expecting. Keep the videos coming.
Glad to be back Mark :). Wow, quite a move! I know what the wildlife can be like in Australia, you are very lucky! And yeah its brillant to see a first, not to mention photograph it! Well done! And thank you for your comment :)

Amazing video good work
High praise indeed, glad you like it ! :D
Nice work! Getting down low certainly makes wildlife less nervous and avoiding eye contact helps too.
Thank you Jan, and yeah i really think it does! All the little things add up ! But as long as the wildlife is relaxed i am happy :)

Excellent footage, Matt. Great shots of the wagtail. Love your channel. Cheers
