Dr. G what is your recommendation for maintenance? Do you recommend staying on the medication and titrating down on dose, stretching out the time in between injections, or any other suggestions that you have😊
Ozempic has been a godsend in my blood sugar control. Metformin stopped working after about 10 years. But in the past 8 months of using it, Ozempic took me from a1c of 8.9 down to 6.1. Sure I'd love to lose weight, but that wasn't the priority and hasn't ocurred. Ozempic may have saved my kidneys from diabetes destruction. Now that I've lost my job, and can't afford Ozempic, my blood sugar is probably going to creep up again, even though I have no sweet tooth, eat mostly low glycemic foods, and don't eat out much. Ozempic is a wonderful diabetes drug! Nobody talks about that.... seems all the focus is on weight reduction. I didn't lose a single pound in 8 months of taking Ozempic!
No fad diets , eat all foods if tolerated., no ultra processed fake foods or seeded oils , eat the fruit and vege 🌈 . Eat twice a day, main meal in the middle of the day, enjoy your food, chew chew chew. Meal plan. That’s good maintenance. 🐨💗
I am not paid for this but my go-to brand has been Nature's Made. Otherwise I would say research the maker of your fav supplement and if it makes sense stick with them for pretty much all your supplements when you need them
@@cherrytulip6541 metformin has been known to promote 2-3% weight loss in most patients and around 12-15 lbs in six months. Great diabetes drug but very average for weight loss.
I totally understand!. If unacceptable side effects happen (which some individuals will get) I suggest stopping the supplement, medication, activity, food, relationship, activity, etc.
Dr g is it really necessary to add BAC water to the vial if your using the entire dose within a week ? I want to inject half on Tuesday and the rest on Thursday
Did google search and found this "An itchy patch on a GLP injection site is a common side effect, usually considered a mild injection site reaction, and is often caused by the body's immune response to the medication, manifesting as redness, itching, or a small bump at the injection site; if you experience persistent itching, redness, or other concerning symptoms, consult your healthcare provider to rule out a more serious allergic reaction"

Depends on patients preference but once we get to goal I recommend weaning to lowest effective dose if not off the meds all together.
@ merci pour vos sages conseils 😊
If only I can get it!!

Dr G which brand of Berberine do you recommend? There are so many out there. Can you recommend a few brands you trust?

Thank you Dr G! I really appreciate your advice.
Do you recommend taking Metformin for weight loss if you are pre diabetic?

What about the side effects of Berberine? I am rather sceptical here.
