Once you get familiar with modern Russia, you start expecting things to be a little … different, like needing to pass an actual checkpoint just to enter. This place is fully private - you could even call it Russia’s first "private city", built around a huge, full-service medical center. Not many people in the footage, though, Eddie - gives it a bit of an odd vibe, wouldn’t you say?

Filmed this early on a Sunday morning. Guess people slept in.

What? There is a general hospital for every 10-15 blocks across Russian cities for anyone. A medical center is not something uncommon.

I love how you go around, showing us so many different places of interest. I can't fault one of them. I would hope there are stores at the apartment complexes so if you are a retiree, you don't have far to go to shop or perhaps, go to a clinic.

They are building factories around the town to bring the middle class into those apartment buildings because so far only rich people moved there :) Yet again you got to lure rich people out of Moscow and St Petersburg somehow too. Love the town soon to be a new city :)

    Great video!
The Russia of 2020s is definitely nothing like the gloom and despair of the late 1990s or early 2000s.
A lot of Russians who left Russia in 90s and 2000s and spread the old truth of “omg Russia is terrible” would do good to visit again and see what modern Russia is evolving!
Russia is a whole different beast now; militarily and economically of course!
Thanks for sharing the content! Did you stay in any of the accommodation? Or the leisure centres? How was it ?

I left Russia as a kid and it was fine in the 80s and the 90s, people over exaggerate sometimes. When i came to NYC from St Petersburg in 1994... i honestly couldn't see a difference. Aside from drugs flooding NY streets... it still wasnt the case in Russia at the time.
