Here are comments for a related IR thermometer (it does not have SURFACE setting, no instructions. So this video helped me set up). In my version to change to Fahrenheit (F1) I had to quickly recycle through F2, F3, F4 etc BEFORE it times out -- otherwise the changes are not saved.
You should use F3 to calibrate your thermometer. Your temp of 96.5 is too low. Mine said the same, so on F3 I added 2.1 degrees F to make it add up to 98.6. Now the temp will be a more accurate measure. Thank you for the video, because it helped me figure this out.
I ordered mine off Ebay - they seem more accurate and reliable than these mouth tongue thermometers where it measures your temperature when you put the sensor under your tongue and have to wait sometimes 2 minutes for a reading which isn't always accurate anyway.
This model is sold under many different brand names, some for very low prices (I got mine on Amazon for $20 USD) and some for as much as $100 USD. They're all made in Shenzhen, China and come with manuals printed in Chinglish. (I wonder how much it would cost these Chinese companies to have a native English speaker proofread their manuals so that they make sense?) The thermometer stores up to 99 temperature readings, but as far as I can determine there is no way to clear the memory, so once you hit position 99 it will hopefully just start overwriting the old memory positions. You can reset the unit to factory settings, but that doesn't clear the memory either. Nonetheless, it seems to do a good job taking temperatures, so as long as mine keeps working, I'm happy. The manual says it has a one year warranty, but you have to ship it to China for warranty replacement, so I'm sure the shipping would be more than it's worth.
This saved me so much trouble! I couldn’t find what “M” stood for! My Son was changing the numbers and I thought it was affecting the sensitivity. So thankful for your video showing it just means the memory & how many temps have been done lol!!

This is complicated this device I'm looking this for ages hesitant to buy from Amazon see one for 10 dollar how much did it temperature be for danger and how much temperature is normal. I think the strips look better. Easy to use this takes batteries what if it doesn't work is red light don't work that did work to aim the red light so how you know it's right temperature nexus it works with infra red light if the infra red don't work it won't check it correctly. Is it tramp nearly 100f that's high. I need this for work but so many people selling them and I'm doomed if I get it and it doesn't work
I think that they are all pretty accurate as the technology is very simple. What you may need to do though is calibrate it before use. Eg, test with an oral thermometer to make sure you are at normal body temp and then use the non contact temp as a base for normal. These really are good, so quick
It's not that I use it all the time, but it is there when I need it. So easy to use, and it either shuts the kids up because I can show them they are not ill, or it raises an issue and we can medicate accordingly. Not had Covid in the household but if it is a fever we are looking for then this helps
Don't buy it. I have a similar one, and all of us are having errors on the displays. It works fine for just one day, and then is garbage. I'm so pissed off

What is a person’s temp on surface mode?
Mine is currently between 92.3 & 92.8
36.3
@@CloughReviews 98.5 is normal. These things are not accurate. They read surface temperature only. I use them for painting.
@@colordopplervet8953 36.3 F or C? 36.3F You would be long dead.
How to repeire switch problem

Ha, so easy to use
Hello, would you like to review our products? (front thermometer with precision reading)
These really are good, so quick
is it working still? Did you have any troubles with it?
Wanna buy a couple.
In a scale from 1 to 10, how'd you rate it?
It's not that I use it all the time, but it is there when I need it. So easy to use, and it either shuts the kids up because I can show them they are not ill, or it raises an issue and we can medicate accordingly. Not had Covid in the household but if it is a fever we are looking for then this helps
Yes I have trouble with it
@@nsaifi80 what troubles did you find?
Don't buy it. I have a similar one, and all of us are having errors on the displays. It works fine for just one day, and then is garbage. I'm so pissed off
@@ileanarsf7350 yeah, i ended up buying another brand, it works fine, no malfunction or errors has occured.

Only two modes now, and no laser pointer anymore.

You’re not suppose to point infrared beams at your brain. It affects the pineal gland which is what regulates your entire nervous system. Get your temperature from your hand or wrist only.
Fluke make the best
I CANNOT GET MINE TO CHANGE TO FARANHEIT!!!! IVE TRIED EVERYTHING
See my comments.... the video does not tell that you have to CYCLE through all the Functions before it times out.
I'm craving pineapple juice now.
اللهم ارفع عنا البلاء
It shows 94.5 temprature of my body but mercury shows 97.3 the big major error
One is your external skin temp, one is your internal body temp, completely different temperatures. You need to calibrate.........
Less than 6 months and it doesn’t work. Batteries weren’t stored in it. Fresh batteries make no difference. Nothing has quality control anymore.
