Sharp looking engines
Too bad they're not Seagraves😢
Is that a manual pump panel?
Very Nice, Tonye .
Let’s see that Core setup!
So what makes it a Toyne apparatus when I see Spartan on the front?
Spartan provides the chassis, and Toyne sets up the pump as well as builds the fire body. Spartan is one of very few fire apparatus manufacturers known for providing their custom cab & chassis to smaller, more regional fire apparatus manufacturers, along with HME-Ahrens Fox, and maybe Sutphen if I recall correctly. Otherwise, any fire apparatus manufacturers that make their own custom chassis will stick with their own bodywork and purchase pumps from either Darley, Hale, or Waterous, with Rosenbauer having their own proprietary pumps for their custom chassis (which they'd probably keep to themselves). If I recall correctly, out of the 40ish fire truck manufacturers that are still in operation here in the US, approximately 8 or 9 of them manufacture their own line of custom chassis, with about half of that being owned by REV Group.
🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 not sure how these are going to be useful as they are smaller than the current engines.
