It's really disappointing to me that mamomo nowadays uses AI images for their videos. Even more disappointing is that they removed my comments calling them out on it. Completely lost my respect even though I really loved their music

I think it is ok? Composer are no illustrator after all and their main works are music anyway. Right lllustration for the mood can be really hard to find, obtain permission and expensive ...etc.

@@ElegantSisterES I understand the reasons why someone would choose to use AI. But that also means they are supporting that technology in its current state. From stolen art in data sets and therefore illegally trained models to the disruption that this will cause in the creative fields it is very morally dubious to support AI created imagery. And as an artist themselves they should know better because without protections this will also endanger their livelihood soon. The fact that mamomo decided to remove my comment means they know that it's bad but just try to hide it. I simply asked them if they were just not crediting any artist anymore for the artworks, too (which would also be very bad)

@@AnimeUniverseDE Hmm, what a corundum... I think we are already past that point as no matter what anyone think, AI is not going anywhere soon, nor not continuely getting used by people. I think the fact that there are quite lot of AI models which are open source, free to used for everyone is still way better than the idea of AI getting capitalized solely by big coporation. That also means that we have to embrace it soon or later, preferablely before there is a price tag on everything. I have seen many artists using AI right now to support their production while not demeaning their creativity and actually uplifted to a new level actually. Thus I am willing to be positive with our future with AI.
Actually, I would love to know your opinion about my personal situation right now. I have been facing great challenge with finding the right artwork for videos as I am very picky with them. I need the illustration to be a good visual representation of the music and it has been incrediblely time consuming to find one, not even talking about obtaining the permission. This adversity is one of the reason why Elegant Sister is so inactive right now. Hours of browsing illustration, days for obtaining permission...etc for just one video, this channel is non profit so you can see why I just can not keep up. This brings a question from me for you: I plan to partially use AI generated arts for future videos, what do you think I would need to do, how much effort I would need to spend for it to be acceptable?

@@ElegantSisterES If you want my personal opinion I would prefer you not use any kind of AI imagery in your videos, honestly. It would be better to use someone else's artwork even when not given permission (yet) and simply credit them appropriatly. Most other music channels (especially smaller ones) operate like that, I think... And remove or blur the videos when requested to by the artist(s). To me, that would be morally more viable than to use AI. I compose some music in my free time as well and the artist communities I'm in also despise AI image generation pretty heavily, but you know, based on my previous comments you could have predicted that. The search for appropriate art for you as the uploader continues then, unfortunately.
I think AI is pretty cool too, actually, and has really great use cases in for example the medical field. But art is definitely not one of them, especially full image generation. That technology is completely designed to replace artists and not something you can use in your creative process. Like, you're generating fully finished images. If you want to improve upon those you as an artist have to painstakingly recreate those images first (seperating them into layers, for example). That's just not efficient at all. And that's also how it's going to be used in big productions. Have you seen MAPPA's anime short with those AI backgrounds? If you look at the end there you see how the AI basically made the main creative decisions and a real artist had to go in afterwards and "clean up". That means recreate from scratch, a time consuming process. But to have an idea in your head and execute that vision is the most fun aspect of art, right? In our current world companies will use AI to replace artists and only hire them at even lower rates as clean up assistence. They'll have the most mundane and dreadful job imaginable.
      Some more comments:
"I have seen many artists using AI right now to support their production while not demeaning their creativity and actually uplifted to a new level actually" - If you look a bit further at those artists that currently upload tons of "AI assisted art" you'll notice that there was a big shift in art style from before, meaning without AI, to now.
"I think the fact that there are quite lot of AI models which are open source, free to used for everyone is still way better than the idea of AI getting capitalized solely by big coporation." - That's not really true unfortunately. I heavily recommend you to watch Jimmy McGee's "The AI Revolution is Rotten to the Core" video.
I also disagree with your stance on 'the pandora's box has been opened, we have to live with it', it's good that there's significant pushback, still.
