Fantastic Build brother and a great test 👍 I meant to say in a previous video that I noticed you got the Arrma Granite Wheels 👍 seems to be fine with them 🙏 am happy everything is running ok 👌 have a fantastic weekend my good Freind 👍🥰🇺🇲🇬🇧🥰👍
I am also looking at a set of huge Arrma wheels on Horizon.com. they are like 8inches in diameter.!! They will be INSANE. I am thinking monster truck with these big wheels. Keep you posted..!!
Very soon.!! Turns out my stock EMAXX wheels may hold up to the current gearing. If so, the truck will go even faster than the last video. Keep you posted.!!
No, I'm afraid not. These are meant for a 10th scale rig. That's why there are two of them. You would need one of the much larger cans if you are gonna run a single. Take a look at the motors for the XMAXX. This will also require a new motor bracket. Traxxas carries all of these parts for this conversion. You may also want to take a look at the later versions of the EMAXX. They are large single can setups. Hope this helps. 😁
Awesome video,, love your enthusiasm!Have you opened the differentials? What weights are you using in the front and rear diffs.? The BL power is so much smoother on 100k F and 200K R w/HR aluminum cups and new ceramic BBs. I have a monster BL single can Emaxx 3903 and a cherry vintage 3906 that's asking for a dual BL upgrade. May copy your setup on the cans and maybe use a dual output speed controller.
Wow, many thanks for all the love on this.!! Believe it or not, stock diffs.!! Just an aluminum front bulkhead, Traxxas driveshafts in the center as well as all four corners. The only other customized parts are the shocks that I shortened by Inserting nitro gas line pieces in their barrels. And if course the motors and ESCs. You are more than welcome to copy and or change any of this. It's an insane amount of power. I am pretty sure I was running twin 26 tooth pinions too. 😃
Hey, I've got a question my emax rear wheels are not pulling, I feel no slipping at the transmission, I took the diff out and it looks good, but when I turn it put together, sometimes it catches and sometimes it don't.what could that be, thanks for your time
That's a tough one without being able to look at it. Sounds like it could be some teeth missing somewhere... or possibly the slipper clutch if it has one. If it does, I would tighten the nut to the slipper clutch. This would be closer to the motor. Or motors depending on the model. If you don't have a manual with the schematics then I would go to Traxxas.com and hunt it down. You can also take a look at the rest of your rig without tearing it down. Cause if your diffs look good, it has to be somewhere. Sorry I can't be any more help...
No, not at all. I just kept an eye on things to make sure one of them wasn't getting abnormally warmer than the other. I also tested this setup with a much cheaper set first. Everything worked perfectly is both setups.!!
Transmitter does not matter. You need to split the signal from the receiver to the ESCs. You need a two to one adapter. This will allow you plug both of your ESCs into one receiver port. You can make the adapter if you have the parts and a soldering iron. Hope this helps. 😎🏎
@@DJ-TBW yes, one battery to each ESC. Each ESC, Battery, motor and pinion gear MUST be identical. If not each side will fight each other. You will run the risk of damage. Also pay attention to each motor and ESC for temp spikes. If one motor is way hotter, it's an indication that something is wrong.
You don't necessarily have to ho all MAX10. Two inexpensive brushless setups will really make a difference. The beefed up drivetrain is a must tho. You will want to spend the money there. But I did a cheap setup first and for ⅓ of the money. Just to make sure that it worked. I picked up a brushless setup for 45$ each. The MAX10s were like 185 each when I had them, and that was a couple years ago. The sound the dual brushless makes is totally worth it, even the cheaper setup. 😊
No. I actually split the ESC receiver lead from the receiver. Turned one into two. Then I ran two separate systems. 2 ESCs and 2 batteries. 1 receiver.
Turns out there are giand plastic grub screws in the axle carriers themselves. They actually press firmly on the axle bolts that attach to the a-arms top and bottom. I had not noticed them until I purchased the new set of carriers. Bad news is, the giant grub screws are not included with the new carriers and you will have to purchase them separately. They are included in an accessory package with the rubber boots that cover the axle carrier bolts. Good news is that I now have extra carriers which do break from time to time. Many thanks for the great question.!
@@DizzyDsvids2Please I did, and it was great. I am hoping to magically aquire a wheelie bar soon. Then I will be able to wheelie like you.! "I have a wheelie bar on the way from an awesome friend out of Canada." I am very excited. Many thanks for the great comment.!
It was a lot faster.!! This setup was nuts. It wheelied at 60mph. It had too much power for the construction of the truck itself. I have been doing the RC thing for over 20 years and I was scared of this one. Everytime I pulled the throttle over half way it took flight, landed on its head and did cartwheels for 50 feet. I tried everything to tame the beast but I failed. I even went to two wheel drive and still was unstable. From roam tires to dBoots, nothing would do it. It was a hell of a ride but I accomplished nothing. The best part about it was the sound the two 120 Amp ESCs made at speed. It was and still is like nothing I had ever heard. Really appreciate your great comment. I could talk about this rig all day. It still haunts me in my sleep... 🥺👻
Hey what do you guys recommend on diffs. I like to jump and I absolutely love the emaxx but it takes out diffs like mad. If you could put a link I would appreciate it
WOW, thank you for trusting our opinion here. Only bad news is that I have not had to swap out my diffs yet... I immediately went on the hunt for the parts, knowing that I too will need a new diff set soon as well. This is where things start to get really scary. I CANT FIND ANYTHING.!!! Any particular reason for the 3200kv vs a lower kv?
