Yeah, seeing the simgle Dextroyer on wave 60 generate a gazillion projectiles with each exploding up to 7 times it's really no surprise the game was lagging that much. This might legit be the most OP creator item we've ever had
Just wondering, weren't 2 explosive turrets present and a ricochet... And can't remember if I saw the structure attack speed one or not... Just saying that I'm not sure all projectiles from DEXtroyer explode or not... Also with the insane attack speed and the already big range of the weapon, weren't it just the weapon itself exploding? I haven't got the weapon in a run so can't tell, I haven't even finished a run with all new DLC character yet (and still have the reroll 10 time in one shop achievement to do) so can't say much :p
@@DeadsTBD I don't think he ever picked up improved tools, but either way, the screen is completely full with dex bullets. They look different to the explosive turret bullets. The destroyer only has ~50% chance to explode on hit, so the bullets do the vast majority of explosions

Hold on, I gotta check out what happened in the recording without cut, cause I got no clue what happened there Edit: well in the recording its exactly the same. I think what happened is that it just copied the stats of the other cursed on because just by the code, you can't have the same weapon in the shop twice (as in, the same weapon with the same tier) and that caused a wonky behavior. The reason it happened here is due to the mod having a chance to replace a weapon, but Ive never seen such a behavior so thats just my best guess

I’d love a legendary item that makes cursed weapons get cool, random bonuses, beyond their current bonus scaling. Like, +a projectile, chance to explode on hit, stat scaling like ghost weapons, higher attack speed with the reloads, higher base attack speed in general, bouncing+no bounce damage loss, stuff like that. Getting random unique bonuses would be a blast and would have so much potential to pop off.
Dex, you have a bug showcased on your video. Your baby elephants (I think) were hitting the ghosts. You can clearly see your random damage effects killing the ghost eggs in wave 9.

One of thing causing the lag was obviously all the fruits (not the only thing but definitely a contributor). Would like to see them add maybe a purple item that makes any item that picks up materials automatically (Sifds Relic, Alien Tongue, etc) also pick up fruits. It would be strategic to take because of how some builds want to wait to gather them but it would help with a run like this by sucking them up during the run reducing some lag but also increasing your HP regen mid run without you needing to hunt them. If that ends up a little too powerful, add a negative or make it a red item whatever. But it would be an interesting item since it isn't just power or defense but utility.
The game needs a complete rewrite on a new engine, or a custom engine. It lags like crazy on the steam deck, even on wave 12-13 sometimes. It's ridiculous that a static item like a fruit takes so much resources
I think they should make fruits just kinda disappear after a certain amount of time. This doesn’t make the game any more difficult because if ur relying on fruits for healing then you’re picking them up anyways
I'm pretty sure Lucky is the best Tater rn. You can pick up 1 or more celery teas and still kill everything. Easiest Danger 5 wins. Lutes are better then flutes in Endless mode imo. Especially once you have a couple of Cursed robot arms. Also it's worth cursing the relic that gives you luck based on Crit. And the relic that gives you bonus stats when you level up. Also on wave 60. It wasn't the Dexstroyer killing everything. It's your passive, the elephants, and the cyberballs. I had a run on him where I sold all my weapons on Wave 85 and still nuked everything. As long as you scale your luck, and pick up more elephants, and cyberballs. Everything dies. It's so broken late in endless. Because even though things get very expensive, your highest damaging items are common and uncommon. So scaling damage is cheap compared to other taters. You should have checked the damage stats on the elephant, the cyberballs, and your passive.
Honestly, they could release a weapon/item/charcater that has increased dmg based on cuse, increases curse every level won (and this number gained doubles like every 10 levels) and a chance to increase curse every curse enemy won.
Option to fix hook is to change it to something similar to mirror or gold fish? Or make another item or items that have similar effects but with those mechanics, to allow other playstyles to get similar results.
They definitely need to do something about optimization. There is not a single build except for the fruit fuse, which is able to live on super-high waves simply because of lags.
I have an idea which combines 2 characters (one of which is an Abyssal Terrors character). If you combine the XP gain from having empty slots and double level ups from the Captain and the gaining weapon slots of the Baby, you will get 2 slots per level-up and eventually, if you don't use too many slots, will have an insane XP gain!

It could be capped at 30%. The idea is to get the option to use the curse mechanic and use it somewhat early without the need of getting the hook early game.
I fallowed along playing Lucky. I had two hooks and a stomach by wave 8. WAVE 8! I had gotten 0 speed items or level upgrades. Wave 9 a walrus sat on me. I’m not playing for a while after this. I need a nap.
It would be cool if every content creator got his own character in a subcategory that can just copy the ability of any chosen characger but starts with their signature item, dex starts with dextroyer sifd starts with his relic and so on

Apparently it's a value mistake from a mod he still had. Normally you also shouldn't be able to get 2x dextroyer in one shop, regardless of locking as it's legendary
The extra shot from the red item on your weapons might not sync up as well... 2 might be on their second shot and 4 on the first. The lightning shiv is my favorite weapon... and the new items make it much more fun, now your sword is an upgrade of it too
I'm doing a broken run with GMO using demon and jack and the unlimited rerolls mod and after re-rolling probably thousands of times I only saw your weapon twice so yeah that thing has got to be extra rare
The luck characters are busted this update lol between weapons that scale off luck and the pearls, the scaling they have is INSANE. Currently on a druid run on round 135 and not slowing down
iuse a run with creature, were i always try to get curse as high as possible, then switch it with a random lowest stat i have with axolotl. very fun with thousend + armor or any damage. then you loose all your curse to just re build it back again in later lvls.
Doesn't the gold fish only make sense if you have purple or red items in the current shop, so that after reroll you are guaranteed a red item? I usually keep it locked this way and have always gotten a res item so far... Even when it is most often forture or ashes 😢
Brotato already guarantees two weapons at the beginning. So maybe add three weapon slots and remove weapons from the main 4 choices. It's easier to roll for weapons without changing normal item chances significantly.
by the way, i notice the enemy that spawned egg when they are became your friends the spawned egg got killed , i think something to do with that picking up material dealing damage to enemy trait.
I don't know about always starting with a cursed hook, yeah it'll be really fun for a few episodes, but for every video I think it takes a bit too much from the main theme.
I done couple runs and multiple time i get hook on wave 27, problem is i notice if you just wait to corrupt items and accumulate curse you basically just scraping by and on wave 26 enemy become 10 stronger you cant even kill them. I think if you select to play with curse you should start with hook at minimum because i played so many time and if you wait for hook and wait to corrupt you are overdraft and its pointless because you can t build up to counter, excluding items, bad shops, high reroll and shop prices its pointless as you cant never recover fast enough..

Wave 60 is actually where we have to stop for almost every character until they did upgrade the algorism .

The dextroyer projectiles aren't exploding, it's the Explosive turrets you bought that are exploding (with piercing and bounces)

I started brotato the other day on my second run, I had the Dex troyer spawn in shop on wave 6 as lucky
I think I know why the DEX-troyer was so hard to find, now. The best weapon obviously has to have the lowest drop chance.
I think if you go around and pick up the food, the lag will probably get better since that's fewer things on the map.
