    This video is insanely helpful, THANK YOU. It shows some things that were missing/not as obvious in the other videos I watched.

    Great video, definitely gonna help me doing wheel bearings on my buddies CRV his is the first one I’ve ever messed with of the CRV’s worked on plenty of 90’s civics. Just a lil pointer those are wobble extensions, I use em all the time on semis to get around things. Prefer them 9/10 over a swivel

    Does it make a difference in wheel bearings if it is 4 or 5 hole hubs for the 97 honda crv. Will any rear wheel bearing work for the rear once it is in year range

    hi, is there any way to get the ring off the hub bearing with out cutting the notch? i dont have a grinder. thanks

    • @1revnrex
      @1revnrex 3 месяца назад

      Dremel with a cut off wheel works. Do 4 notches on the side almost down to the hub. Use a hammer and chisel or an air hammer to get it broke loose. Or just go get a cheap grinder from Hobo Freight.

    Hi, Are you just reusing the original wheel "hub" (the part that has the studs)? Are these the same on 2wd and 4wd models? When trying to purchase new wheel hubs, all I am seeing are ones for the front. Are the front and rears the same? Thanks in advance.

      reuse the ones from the CRV you just have to cut the bearing off

      Ive used a 3/4 all thread bolt with nuts and washers to press the hub and bearing together. assorted washers are necessary as to not damage the bearing races.

      @@MichaelBennettEFAddict which I found out means removing the lower knuckle bolts so to swing the control arm and hub assembly up and off the splines of the shaft… which of course are rusted to bushing on mine.. so Ive got it wrapped and soaking for a couple days. If it doesn’t come loose with the impact I’m gonna cut/burn it out. Then I’ve got to hunt down a new cam bolt.
      So a couple steps you didn’t have to do in your video which are necessary in the 4wd version.
      Thanks for the response.
