Take the now classic, iconic and highly sought-after Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer module from the 70s and give it full parameter control with attack, release, preamp gain, makeup gain (output), tone and blend. Add bypass options, expander on/off again with attack control (fast or slow) and DryBell's meticulous attention to detail and you have (whew!) quite likely my vote for 2022's best compressor release. In fact, I'll say it now: It is. Just beautiful.

Great demo Brett! Love from Croatia 🍻
Brett still has the best demos ever.
Based on your review I purchased the Module 4 and love what it can do. You mentioned Mark Knopfler and Steely Dan but I would add that its fantastic for early to mid '70s Southern Rock as well as reproducing the '60s tones of a Rickenbacker 12 string to perfection. I'm not sure what the Byrds used in the way of compression but the DryBell can reproduce their 12 string tone to perfection. For an old hippie like myself this is an excellent pedal.
It's more a "warmer" than a compressor! What a great compressor! I like to play with comp, but this one is amazingly organic! Merci Brett!☮️🥂
Holy moly. That sounds amazing!
love the Steely Dan, great video! Rock on Brother!!
Saw you Friday night at The Palais with J. R.
You were fantastic!
Wow, this looks amazing!! I've been using the unit 67 for about 6 months and love it, I'll definitely be checking the module 4 next!!! Great demo
Always good to see the Slayed cover on your wall! One of the 1st albums I ever bought
G'mornin' from Rochester NY.
Every compressor you've demo'd over the years sounds amazing.
Free the tone, Deep Six and on and on and on.
This was no exception.
Amazing. Makes me want one, but I know better.
Cheers 🍻
That is a awesome compressor WOW🤟🏻
Nice playing. I always hear you with the gain. I have an original Ross Grey (yes from my early days) & my trusty Boss CS-3. always looking for something to replace both without over spending
That thing sounds great. Love to see this shootout vs the Cali 76. I'm playing through a Pete Cornish OC1 optical compressor clone I built from a project PCB. I like the Opti compressors but the FET sound is so good too.
Ideal tweaking pedal… hours of fun🙂
I'll have lick 1:05 on repeat with side of excellent demo please. Lovely choice and playing.
Wish they would all have a HP filter for baritone or bass use.
WOW! I have Juice Extractor(Analog Man) which is modeled after the Orange Juicer, but this seems to do that with a lot more functionality. I need it!!! Checked Sweetwater, Guitar Center and Reverb...came up with ZERO. can you let us know where to find one? Oh.. and thanks for the Steely Dan tutorial 👍 😉
DryBell Module 4 shop it’s now active on Reverb ;)
NOICE !
Brett, love the vids, and I have a question: I've put your Friedman preset on my Axe FX3, and while I think the sound is awesome, I find it very ice picky on the high strings. From bottom E to G sounds great, but the B and E are really harsh. I've tried lessening treble and presence and it's still really harsh. I play Les Paul Customs with Seymour Duncan JB's in the bridge. Any advice would be gratefully received.
Check to make sure the wah block isn't engaged, Dominic.
@@BrettKingman ah, now that’s a thought…thanks so much, Brett🎶🎶
