You missed the bit with Deborah Walting and Frazer Hines in the evil of Daleks bit funny how things have changed since this docomnety , doctor who has indeed come back , we got a televison movie, rip Elizabeth Sladen , Mary Tamm , Caroline John , Nicholes Courtney , Barry Letts. Philpic Madock
Me too...I just can't describe it...it's like, something that's been around so long, and to a little kid it's as real as Santa Claus and wishing on stars, something utterly...fantastical brought to life. All these things you stop believing when you're an adult, and you just accept with the innocence of youth when you're a kid. And when we follow that kid into the TARDIS it just validates EVERYTHING.
I loved this special. I had on VHS years ago. I'm sure TPTB at the BBC or Doctor Who fans had any inkling that there would be a movie in '96 ( Say what you will about it, it indirectly helped revive the series ) or a revival of the series.
the child finding the Tardis for me sums up the show, as adults we may watch it and enjoy it, but to truly live in it and become part of this world, you have to be a child

And then, in perfect Classic Who style, it all ends on a cliffhanger. I love this doco. :-)
Now we're due to get the 15th Doctor (at time of typing this), some point they'll have to do More Than 70 Years in the Tardis.
I think at the time when the series was cancelled, this ending was a message that evil still exists & the Universe to this day needs the Doctor :)

Is there a full version of this on youtube? I haven't seen this since I was a little kid.
