The City of Golden has been engaging citizens and professionals on adopting state-of-the-art buildings codes to more closely align with the city's approved sustainability goals.Independent labs have studied the impact of new codes, finding that their small cost increases are justified because these costs are offset later because it is cheaper to heat and cool if built to code.
