I am not aware of a RUclips app being available yet. Since November last year I have noticed an increase in apps so over time more developers will add more and I do hope that RUclips is on there one day. Thanks for watching
These are great videos. Can you show how multiple profiles are created and how the car prioritizes the profile and Bluetooth connection when both users are in the car together?
Geo thanks for the compliment. Absolutely I will do a video on that. Can you confirm if you are using the new android automotive Google infotainment system or the sensus system?
Thanks for the question, it is a one that is asked a lot and I decided to create a video to address this. The video is about managing profiles and bluetooth devices and there is also a second video in my Google infotainment playlist which is a step by step guide to creating a new profile. Here is the link for managing profiles and bluetooth devices - ruclips.net/video/TS8qRE_cjjc/видео.html
Vikram thanks for the comment. I will absolutely do that next week when I have some free time. We just got a thunder gray ultimate model that I will feature.
That is right except we gave been receiving 2023 cars for 6 weeks and they all have Google now along with XC 60 which came right after the 40 recharge.
Thanks, Jebbie! Problem I have is that my car won’t automatically connect to the system - so I get messages from Google saying “I’m offline”. I’m connected via Bluetooth but seem to also need to connect via Wi-Fi - using my personal hotspot - which I have to do manually every time I get in the car. It’s a pain! Any way around it?
Sarah thanks for the comments. On the top left of the screen does the triangle show an x through it? Is this permanent or intermittent? In the sensus system there were two sim cards. One handled internet and the other your app but now there is only one which might explain why your app is not connecting too. Usually I have only seen that happen temporarily and if you recycle the sim in connectivity menu or hold the home screen button down and reset, it solves it. However it sounds like you are having more persistent connectivity issues with your data services if it is staying that way. You might want to have your service department check that out if it keeps happening and doesn't resolve with resets.
@@JebRevsUp Hi Jebbie, Hi Sarah. I have the same problem to connect the car to internet, every time I get in the car I have to enable the hotspot on my cellphone. How you conect your car to internet? Bluetooth? SIM card? Thank you
If it is an Android based system, does it not work properly with iPhones? Also if you don’t mind, can you confirm these new Volvos come with Sirius XM? Can you listen to satellite radio? Thanks
It works completely fine with apple phones too. As an example I have an Android phone and Apple iPad. I can login with the same Amazon music, Spotify and Google maps accounts on both devices even though they have different operating systems. It works just like that, your car is just another device. The one recommendation I gave for apple users is that you should login and use Google maps on your Apple phone if you want to share data with your car. You can always use car play to get apple maps but in the process lose the sharing and also it won't show on your driver display and heads up display if you are in XC60 for example. Hope that helps and thanks for both questions. They get asked a lot and I know that will help other apple users.
The only two things you can display are maps or a quiet dark mode which will show media and a turn by turn arrow. The toggle switch is on right side of steering wheel. I do miss having more options. Hoping that the OTA software update fairy will give us more options. Especially WAYZ that shows on driver display.
So far it has not been available but, more apps are being added at a fast rate so I am hoping it will be available in the future. The only apps I have found that do video include Tubi and the MGM Epix app. There is a new software update on its way out V2.9 and there are some big updates on that too. I am actually planning to do a video soon about some of these new features and apps. Keep checking the play store for updates. Thanks for commenting.
Hi there. Range assistant is found in the XC40 and C40 pure electric cars only. Select the 4 squares symbol in the bottom left. This will open up the app screen. The Range Assistant is in third row next to car status. When you open it the right side shows the factors affecting range and which ones are most affected by your driving and usage. There is range optimizer button. Select this but it only works your battery is 50% or below. This helps get the most range. Thanks for watching!
Hey. Great video. I have a question. Is RUclips now available?

Love the vids Jebbie. Would like to see videos and snippets of the Volvo C40 Twin Ultimate Recharge P8 :)
Vikram thanks for the comment. I will absolutely do that next week when I have some free time. We just got a thunder gray ultimate model that I will feature.
Recharge and mild Hybrid models have the Google Automotive based infotainment system but plug-in hybrid models have the old Sensus infotainment.
That is right except we gave been receiving 2023 cars for 6 weeks and they all have Google now along with XC 60 which came right after the 40 recharge.
I'm trying to download an app via play store but it's says "pending" all the time. It does not download the app. Do U know why?

Is there a way to show anything besides the map in the driver's side screen behind the wheel?

@@JebRevsUp Will it keep the media on display in the center? What I noticed if I go to that option it flashes on the gauge then disappears.
