I've been struggling with this for like 2 years and your tip about keeping your arms tucked helped me achieve this in 5 seconds!!! So awesome. Thank you.
You explain everything so good!! With every detail and I literally after your videos I have zero questions!! I admire you and look up to you!! You the best 😊
I've watched so many videos on this, but this was the first one where I saw the torso being a bit higher up , which helps out a lot at least in the beginning. Thanks
Sweeeeeet!! Going to start work on it straight away mate!! I can do almost all the progression and the tips are great!! Will let you know my progress stay strong bro!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
This is the true Key to a straight arm straddle planche, it makes sense, and I personally feel this should be what anyone striving for the straddle planche needs to learn first as it'll be more easier, and work your way up

Thanks Steve! Hahahaha it's so funny you mention that because I was sooo close to writing "without further hesitation" in the script for this video but I was like "NO, I can't do that again, it's too cheesy" hahaha
Ashton, you lovely lad, learned the bent arm straddle planche from this video and felt like a million bucks. Keep doing that stuff you explain it in a way like a 5 year old gets it ❤🙏
Great vid! I'm using this skill as part of my full planche training. I think it translates over well (even though some people say it doesn't) because you're still placing your body under the same amount of stress save for a less amount on the arms and shoulders.
I think there are some aspects of it that do translate over very well. Osvaldo Lugones includes it in his "how to planche" videos (and he has one of the best planches out there) so it must be pretty good if he includes it :D I'm still yet to learn my planche though
😁thats awesome u subbed! Super Motivating! I been working on something really cool for my next video. I want to make a music video, i post clips on instagram showing off my vfx skills on adobe and new calisthenics skills im working on. lsg.productionsl
You're welcome dude! And no, this skill will not take a few weeks to learn. It will take many months. It's a very advanced calisthenics skill, and it's very difficult. Keep patient, and keep consistent and you will get it :D
Hello Ashton, new subscribers here! I do get weary of subscribing as i get silly videos follows one after another... but seen your videos a few times and thought your technique and skills are different from others i.e. thenx.... chris heria, very annoying man! And love himself! So voted for your videos instead 👍🙏
Yes, this is an advanced skill. It's the bent arm straddle planche. It's much harder than the elbow lever and requires much more chest, shoulder, and core strength.

Great tips! A bit dark at the end showing the progressions, maybe an overhead light would make that better

Hahaha thanks Said!
For me, the best tip is to lift up the chest and push the floor, but I need to work on the push strength. Thanks!

Hey bro! I can bent arm planche, but just for 4 seconds or so..... Any tips on holding it longer?
Can I do the bent arm straddle planche first and use it in order to do a full planche
By the leaning forword dips, should the shoulders be protracted or contracted?
I can currently balance for like 2-3 seconds but I never get a true consistent hold
That's alright, just keep practicing - you'll get there
2:51
my man i can hold but not open legs on bet arm straddle planche on the ground
Do you know how to reduce the bend? I have a bent arm straddle planche, but its much more bent than yours,.
Reduce the bend where?
@@AshtonFitness I meant the bending in your arms. Like inyour bent arm planche, your arms are bent 90 degrees. I managed to improve it tho with pppu.
Thanks Pal, my dream skill,
How much time it takes to learn this skill?

Isn't this 90 degree hold? Straddle I mean. Is this an advanced move? Basically elbow lever without arm support.
Yes, this is an advanced skill. It's the bent arm straddle planche. It's much harder than the elbow lever and requires much more chest, shoulder, and core strength.
