Happy to see hes getting support still Even though this dont got the walking dead views I wish people watched for the wicked editing and not the topic itself Its just so good
“You wanna feel how hard I punch?” Gotta be one of the best lines, but honestly it’s hard competition since like every line in the first movie is a banger
No joke, Zombieland is the reason I got into metal/heavy metal. 9 year old me loved that Metallica song so much, I asked my dad "what song was that? That was awesome!" To my dad's delight he pulled out every Metallica CD he had. So that, and the fact it's a funny well made movie, Zombieland holds a special place in my heart even though I've only seen it like 3-4 times.
I know Zombies are a tired media genre at this point, but I very much enjoy them still. There will probably be more zombie related content after TWD but I'm gonna keep it varied
Zombieland was lightning in a bottle that the second one cheapened. Sometimes, it's okay to just let a film exist on its own without the need for a sequel.
It’s just the gamble of the industry ain’t it. Like we have received some exceptional sequels, that could’ve flopped just as bad as so many sequels have.
I disagree. Its not like they pumped out 4 sequels in as many years or something. It was a single film a whole decade later, it was basically a anniversary gift for long time fans.
okay i gotta say again you are the biggest W ever you always respond to comments and overall youre just fun to watch i really mean it keep up the good work
Idk why but w the way Tallahassee preparing an uppercut banjo swing w the music coming in and saying “you got a perty mouth” just has this entire badass element
Fun fact- the monster truck in zombieland 2 double tap was named Big Fat Death and had two chassis depicting the truck in the film both owned my monster truck driver Kevin King, the first chassi is a ride truck called Insane Asylum, which was built to hold passengers and closer styled like a stage one monster truck, this was used in close up shots and shots of people driving the truck, the other chassi used for the film was a truck called Fluffy (named for a sponsership with Gabriel Iglesias) and was a standard competition ready monster truck as seen in shows today being a coustum tube chassi, this was used for any action shots as it would have the set up, power and safty equipment to handle the stress of these stunts.
I love the original Zombie Land! I never got to watch double tap because I didn't have money to see it in theaters and gave up on being able to see it so I am glad Howesenberg did a video on it. Once in a mental hospital I was at, a woman said my voice sounded like Jesse Eisenberg which I wasn't sure how to feel about. Emma Stone was my childhood crush so I was fine with it.
You probably won’t see this but I found you super recently and have been loving your content man your one of the only creators I have notifications turned on for
The brushing the hair back was Columbus's dream to "brush hair behind a girls ear", not out of her face. Just saying. But The og is an amazingly rewatchable classic. I had 2 shots of wild turkey, ran into this film, and laughed for 90 mins straight. Double tap....not so much
Double Tap having that new girl was the worst decision all time we did not a need a dumb comic relief 😂 the first one with the opening, bill murray house, that store stop & amusement park 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bill Murray looking so old and not being able to stay immortal breaks my heart😭 tooo many actors throughout history make their acting career good enough for me to want them to stay for an eternity blessing future generations😭
I’d love to see these sorts of comparison/summary vids on some of the old Romero films compared to their remakes. Like Dawn of the Dead 1978 compared with the 2004 Snyder one, or the 1985 day of the dead compared with the terrible 2008 remake (re-imagining?) lol. Similar to what you did with the 28 days/weeks later films. Think that could make for some interesting vids. Just an idea, have a great weekend mate!
I’ll never forget being pissed as hell when I was on mushrooms and walked downtown to see double tap only to find out it was a one night only showing from the previous night and I had to walk back home
27:46 you forgot the fact that it would be physically impossible to do that.. its not a bunch of stones precariously balanced on the surface of the ground so the slightest push could knock it over.. its got foundations... its only a slight lean.. its been reinforced over time and had the angle changed and stronger foundations etc placed on its weak side... even a bus driving into it at full speed wouldnt knock it over... and not only that, but if some earthquake happened just as he was fake levering it and it did collapse.. it would mostly fall downwards as rubble... not tip over as if its made of cardboard
8:10 im pretty sure those girls werent planning necessarily to rob those two guys.. just anyone who came along the road... but i might be wrong, i havent seen the movie in a while.. or they may have spotted them following so set this trap up to stop them following..
Both are Masterpieces. The Long time that all the Fans did wait for "Double Tap" was every second worthy. Madison makes from "Double Tap", what many thought the sequel would be a shitty movie,on a Brilliant, Hilarious and "Moving" film. And another Stellar Cast. The 2 Best Zombie movies from the last 20 Years.
Colombus destroying Woody’s twinkies at the carnival is one of my favorite scenes. You can see how Woody is physicallly and mentally restraining himself from punching Colombus in the face.
Hey it's me again!! Still loving your stuff would love to see you cover always sunny in a series as it's my all time favourite comedy and you mentioned covering it during your better call Saul video 💖
Comparing the names Columbus and Tallahassee, even mentioning christoper columbus- arguably the most famous explorer ever, and still giving the well travelled explorer trait to Tallahassee is crazy, just wanted to point it out found it funny haha
I always thought zombie kill of the week/year wasnt real and was just them making shit up based on how absurd or funny the kill itself would be if it happened in real life. Cus yeah a nun killing a zombie w a falling piano is a funny joke, and an italian killing a bunch of zombies with the Leaning Tower of Pisa is too. Thats why the scene w the tower is so shitty, its just a visualisation of the joke. Like theres no way they actually know whats going on around the world and the piano story in the first movie is so simple it’s easy to see him making it up and eventually escalating the bit to the point of making historical buildings a part of it.
I consider videos like this to be pallet cleansers, for both my audience and me. If I just delivered the same content over and over it would feel stale. It's a shame to receive such little views as I try equally as hard in these videos, but I still feel positive about them.

Zombieland takes the core concepts of a zombie world, and adds comedy. there is still that feeling of a creepy world, even though there aren't that many zombies for long stretches. The zombie world is the vehicle for the comedy. #2 is the opposite, the Zombie world is just set dressing for a comedy movie. The zombies arent a present force is the world, in which the comedy is created from; they are purely a plot device when needed to push the plot forward. why one is better is above my paygrade, but I would guess it is that #1 is closer to the source genre of "Zombie Movie", making it more unique, whilst two is closer to the just being in the genre of comedy, making it more generic.
Idk. When I watched double tap I was a bit underwhelmed but then again, zombie land is one of the best zombie movies ever. I mean it is really hard to live up to the first one. The shadow left by the first one was VERY big. I think double tap was a pretty great follow up, especially considering it came out ten years later. The magic wasn’t lost, it just wasn’t new. We’d seen it before in a better movie. Once again, one of the best zombie movies ever made. Hard to do better than that. Both movies will live on as some of my favorites.

It's just poor writing. Too bad you weren't on the writing staff. Could a maybe made a good joke.

I think the beginning of zombieland sold it as more of a left for dead setting, would have been sick to see that through
A Zombieland review? Was not expecting this! I wonder how far we’re in Howesenberg’s zombie arc
I know Zombies are a tired media genre at this point, but I very much enjoy them still. There will probably be more zombie related content after TWD but I'm gonna keep it varied
The intro to Zombieland is my favourite film intro of all time.
3pm?! You dastardly rapscallion - this will be hard to explain to IT
My my sir your exceedingly intellectual knowledge of the English lexicon is rather entertaining and particularly humorous.

It’s just the gamble of the industry ain’t it. Like we have received some exceptional sequels, that could’ve flopped just as bad as so many sequels have.

That's awesome. Never knew Gabriel Iglesias had a monster truck named after him.
This came out unexpected! I'm glad you're covering this!
When I heard you were doing youtube full time I thought videos would be coming out even faster, but not this fast! Good job!

That definitely was an insult wether she meant it or not. You need to avenge yourself.
Whole comment got me embarrassed
One of my favorite parts is when he sprays Tallahassee with perfume at the store!!
What a harmless, and TERRIFYING thing to do! Lol
The zombie kill of the week thing I personally think adds to the comedy aspect, it’s like an absurd idea for a wacky apocalypse.
Oh don't get me wrong, I like zombie kill of the week / year, it's just funny to imagine how this information travels with so few people left alive

The "Zombie Kill of the Week" bit was something they wrote for when Zombieland was originally supposed to be a tv show.
