I am grateful for my seminary experiences. It has changed my life for the better. It CONTINUES to change my life for the better 30 years later! I have come closer to Christ because of it.
I’m 59 years old and I only went to seminary 2 times boy was I stupid. I could have avoided so many bad decisions, but as my father said if stands there stiff with his eye closed. For those of you who don’t understand that pretty much means if doesn’t change a dang thing.
I sustain President Nelson’s counsel. Seminary and institute are godsends to help us stay close to the Lord at one of the most critical time periods of our lives. Anyone who follows this prophetic counsel will receive blessings that they will look back on with wonder and eternal gratitude.
Seminary is one of the main ways the LDS church pressures youth during important formative years to make life choices that may not be right for them. The LDS church has mastered the art of subtle manipulation and not-so-subtle peer pressure.
When i went to seminary i didn't like it because i was force to go or get kick out of the home and my teacher try his best to make feel welcome but when your force into something you dont want to do because you didn't want church in your life because bad parents who where more concern what others in the church think of them. Then what's best for my kids. However, my teacher made me laugh a lot and i need that during that time in my life and i have run into him about years ago and he still can make me laugh and that the only reason i like seminary because of my teacher Brother J.
Guess what, this man is no one special. no more special than you and I. We have our own instincts, our own conscience, and the ability to know what is right for you and what is wrong. If you think institute or seminary is right for you then do it, don't do it just because this man has told you too, or invites you too, whatever. If you think marriage is right for you then get married, don't do it because the brethren tell you too. follow your heart, wherever it takes you.
This man has spent his entire life being prepared by God to lead the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that what he tells me to do is inspired of God. We all have our own agency, and you can make your own choices, but I choose to follow the prophet in all things because he is the leader God has prepared for us today. I know following him will bring eternal blessings.
I’d go for wisdom over opinion! Golly, “the man” is 99, that makes him way different than me! The Lord will bless me with an hour of “this man’s” time, in my Fathers timing! I’m not a member of the LDS ❤ VANA
I can testify that seminary and institute brought me more blessings in life than any other studies I did. The promises made by the Lord’s prophet are true.
Does anyone else remember when this guy told people not to listen to people who don't believe the way he does? Remember how it caused a lot of upset in families with members struggling with their faith? I do!
Would you like to back your opinion up with a link, maybe any evidence at all for your statement, or should we just all believe another random nobody's opinion on the internet, simply because you said so? Please. This man has nearly a hundred years of Christ centred service behind him, while having a HUGE family, with an even larger number of grandchildren, and an even larger number of great grand children to boot. Oh yeah, he also just so happened squeeze all this service in around being one of the leading heart surgeons of his time. What have you done? Make a few comments on the internet. Wooptydoo.

I'm so excited to start seminary this fall!
Seminary was my favorite subject in high school. 5:30 a.m. for 4 years. Amazing!

Why do we have ads in a church video?

Early morning seminary hurts teens
Black and white thinking.
It certainly didn't hurt me when I went. It certainly didn't hurt my kids.
I am curious if early morning band or sports practice also hurts teens😂

You are so wrong. I feel so sorry for you.
This “man” is in communication with CHRIST! Think of THAT!
