A sales associate at a duty free store sprayed Bvlgari Tygar on me and I got a compliment from a different fragrance shop associate who wanted to know which fragrance it was. I found the smell very enjoyable but at the time, I was not ready to fork out >$300
Went to Saks 5th Avenue to compare Afternoon Swim and Tygar, and to me they smell almost identical except that Tygar last a couple of hours longer on my skin. Both smell amazing and are great summer scents!
I didn't think AS had aldehydes but then again I'm not 100% sure what perfumers add to the notes but it's featuring: Bergamot Mandarin Orange Ginger Ambregris But to answer your question I think Aldehydes do go soapy and so do Citruses! :)

I find Afternoon Swim a poor performer. Gone in 3 hours. Tygar on me lasts for 8 hours. They smell similar at first sniff but tygar’s dry down is like LV L’immensite but better.
Great video, thanks! Yup, Tygar & Afternoon-swim smell similar in different ways! I was thinking that afternoon swim is more aggressive, Tyger is soft and elegant. I use them both. Also, afternoon swim lasts longer compared to Tygar. Maybe it is just me. My body’s chemistry doesn’t work with it 🤷🏻♂️

I would be very interested to hear your opinion on Onekh from Bvlgari's Gem collection. I have not seen any youtube review of that one. For me it smells divine. That is how I imagine oriental luxury scent non plus ultra. If you can get hold of it, certainly worth trying.
@@cjg28 you'll love it, dude. The sillage, to me, initially came off as a powdery lime. When I bought it I definitely smell the Mandarin, but the sillage lightens it a bit and gives off the good citrus orange to like scent. Good stuff, homie. When I first smelled it on my doc I she'd the nurses what it was because I caught the trail end of him leaving. They didn't know, but every one of them have these pleasure eye roll. That was 5 different females in one confined area, amigo. In other words, chickies dig it. 😉👉

It seems almost negligent that a scent called "Arrakis" would not include cinnamon as a note.

Afternoon Swim turned soapy smelling on me after an hour. Is that typical for aldehydic notes?

Spirit of Kings Zaurac smells like Oud Wood and Matar smells like the Smokey batches of Aventus. I like the house the have nice fragrances

agreed tygar is way more soft. Doesnt have that sharp citrus hit that afternoon swim does. Tygar is just better and softer.
