For me personally, Bartos' version of computer love is much better than Kraftwerk's (comparong the live performances). This sounds so melodic and passionate. I love Kraftwerk's computer love, The Mix version is among my favourite Kraftwerk songs but this just sounds so much more passionate. Bartos adds so much to it, it's like you're floating together with him in an aether while he's playing it.
this sounds like nearly that original Kraftwerk version. I mean when Kraftwerk really recorded it. I think this is how they recorded it. Today I mean Ralf sings it and the other comes from records so I think that is the reason why there are differences between different versions.
Jeder von Kraftwerk hat seinem Still und Jeder hat auch Rechte zu Singen was ihr wollten. Ralf, Wolfgang und ich finde sehr Gut zu genießen Jede Still. Bravo. Weiter so
I think it's no coincidence that when Karl was credited with more Kraftwerk compositions (starting with The Man-Machine, I believe), the melodies were stronger and more memorable, and that when he left the band (after Electric Cafe/Techno Pop, and the Tour de France single), the melodies became weaker by the time Tour de France Soundtracks rolled around. Tour de France, while absolutely peerless in terms of sound engineering, had one strong melodic song, and that was Tour de France.
I am wondering: This is from 1981, there wasn't the Internet and computers were what they were. Still, I think about this night: My computer, few tequila, and this piece of music sound just like my life is now!
Wonderful! :) A little bit more "pop-like" version, I think, but it sounds so nice and fresh, quite positive! However it looked to me Karl sang here a bit, em, rougher?.. This suits the song not very well; Ralf's voice sounded softer at least in original version of "Computer World" album. Although, who cares? - wonderful, just great piece! :)
He is not one of the original members of Kraftwerk, Kraftwerk was founded by Ralf and Florian only, but Karl and Wolfgang were part of Kraftwerks classic line up, and along with Ralf and Florian they have made the best albums of the 70's. To bad that all good bands always split, now there's only Ralf =(.
fantastic version, really gets right what the current one doesn't. I loved the 1981, 1991 and 2009 live versions, but the current KW version feels a bit limp and soulless. I love their other remixed versions, but in this case, Karl's is fantastic, and that slower, ending melody and bassline (which was also done by KW in 1981) is the perfect way to end the track.
are u kidding! coming from a woman's point of view his has a voice that make a girl melt like butter! may i add quite pleasing to the eye...that's my story & i am sticking to it. :-P
Are you being sarcastic? Bartos had some unkind things to say about Numan, particularly about him copying others. Personally, I think Bartos has a stick up his bum.
i read on the internet that mr bartos left due to, what was it? oh yeah, creative differences. i think he was frustrated may be because he was not able to spread his "creative wings" hey, my 2 cents worth anyways. :)
This has to be the definitive live version of this song. It's perfect.

I just can't get how such a simple track can be so beautiful...
I really like Mr. Bartos' version of this song. I think this ver. is the best. It sounds really good, for me.

I really wish there was a clear, studio version of this song. I love that it exists at all, but imagine how this would feel in high quality.
Would be the best version on of the song

I strongly agree with you! He was the great melody maker of KRAFTWERK.
Absolutely right!

I`m still kicking myself for not going to his show when he played Osaka several years ago. Look what I missed!
Bravo. KW are so much the lesser without you.
My favourite Kraftwerk song
Karl sings lead vocal on The Telephone Call for Kraftwerk's Electric Cafe. He left the band sometime between then and The Mix in '91.
He left in August 1990.
I love this music!

The best version!!!!!!Computer love.
Carl BARTOS doskonale radzi sobie ze śpiewem . I nie potrzeba tu żadnego Vovodera !
kim ty jesteś i czemu jesteś pod każdym filmem związanym z Kraftwerkiem?
I need to measure my heart rate after listening to this song. It's too delicious.
Happy birthday dear Karl!!! 🎉❤
FLORIAN is smiling !
PEOPLE LIKE US WHO APPRECIATE ELECTRONIC MUSIC ARE JUST ONE OF A KIND ! KRAFTWERK ARE GENIUSES AND MASTERCRAFTSMEN OF SOUND !
Thank you very much, dear! It's music from my teenage! I listen it when i was girl in the first love!
I am wondering: This is from 1981, there wasn't the Internet and computers were what they were. Still, I think about this night: My computer, few tequila, and this piece of music sound just like my life is now!

If kraftwerk wouldnt broke or just karl dont leave they would made better music
Maybe they still could play anslog synthesizers
Imagine a reformed Kraftwerk of Ralph, Florian, Karl and Wolfgang. i would literally jizz in my pants.
Unfortunately Florian has been dead for like 2 or 3 years now
@@Kilomenjaro You were 7 years late with that comment lol.

He might as well be.
Also, he personally wrote the melody to this song. I think he did a good job here by himself.
Quinibus oh! I dont know it!
One of the best melodies ever. Short and simple but very effective. Also my #1. song, the original version.

GEIL!!!!!!!
i've heard computer world, numbers in both languages. however, i've heard bits & pieces of computer love in german. i think both version rock!!!
another lovely night lovely night

Amei! 😍
muito bom adorei
Both Bartos and Flür have very different styles from Kraftwerk, but that's definitely not a bad thing
ESSENTIAL MELODY

Respected Mr. Barros is not in the Kraftwerk band, this think is bugging me everytime. I always love to watched them performing together.
stare the tv screen tv screen i dont know what to do what to do i need a rendezvous rendezvous
nice!!!
i hate that people keep saying coldplay stole it...i love people who understand!!
Karl should've sang this in Kraftwerk

karl bartos is kraftwerk.. too bad ralf hutter didnt know that...
bem que o kraftwerk podia se juntar apenas esta vez para um show, só para relembrar os
velhos tempos!
Without FRAKTUS Kraftwerk would be nothing!
MashMashMusic do you even know who Fraktus are? They started at 1983.
Kraftwerk started at 1970.
You don’t even know what you are talking about.
@digggert He was a member of kraftwerk !
quality audio sheet!!
At least he doesn't pretend he's playing!
Hungarian!! :)
I think that he is necessary in KRAFTWERK.
Help! What are the synthesizers?
Rudimentary? Far from it! Karl co-wrote a lot of Computer World and is is one of earlier members from,'73 or so!
@vilmerino Ah well, time goes on. btw - Karl is in the Studio again. ^^

why singing the english version in germany?
@dionco92 You're kidding, right - Zap & Roger wouldn't have had a clue without Bartos/Kraftwerk.. sorry ...
no hes not
Computer Love is better with Ralf's voice.
bad.
the best is just kraftwerk himself.
Wonderful song but Kraftwerk has the best version. This one here is a bit rudimentary.
@vilmerino
yeah Ive just realised that... ;-D
