Highly recommend going to the garlic festival in Amori Prefecture in Northern Japan. Maybe once COVID isn’t a thing anymore. Garlic everything and their black garlic is to die for!!
Phwoarrrrr. I don’t know what is more sexy, his voice, his humour, his looks or the garlic. Loved this so much! Thanks for sharing, Chef. I’m excited to see what else you do! Love from England. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
If you store it in the fridge, the oil will solidify. It should last a week or so. In my experience, adding the rosemary and having it exposed to air inside the container is what grew mold after a few weeks. But that begs the question... Why did it last that long without being consumed 😂
Have you tried it with the bulk pre-peeled cloves? I love roasted garlic but I also love being lazy. I’d be interested if that method would end in success or burning and crying.
As long as theyre tears of joy 😉 I personally havent tried it yet. I need to hit the big box store for some of that 'farm's yield in a bottle.' One change would definitely be to cover them - roast them in a casserole dish covered with aluminum foil to reduce moisture loss. Might benefit from lower and slower temp as well 🤔 I added it to my list!
I’ve done this - I take the pre-peeled cloves, soak in OO and wrap in foil then put in the oven just as these directions instruct. It’s very easy and no hassle - if you buy the big bag at Costco and use half of it for that it’s amazing how much this yields!!
Confetti for weddings and entrepreneur 😂😂😂😂 in the Middle East people’s say it’s not good to walk on a garlic “confetti” they say it brings bad luck or something so don’t say that to a Middle Eastern Mom cause she won’t like it 😝
Ive never seen the organic jars of garlic - dont think that company would fall under this: www.santacruzsentinel.com/2018/01/13/gilroy-garlic-giant-christopher-ranch-disputes-netflix-series-calling-business-rotten/
Garlic is actually really good at keeping microbes away and things infused in oil usually do decently well - but Im not a food scientist/food safety researcher. Anecdotally, I had a bottle that got lost on my counter - after months, the issue was actually the stem of the rosemary that was sticking out of the oil - it got moldy, but everything that was in the oil was a-ok 🤷♂️
It's an older video - I believe my newer videos are a bit better, check one out before you tune out. If not, to each their own 🤷♂️ Thanks for watching the horrendously long and dry video that has dry horrendous (yet delicious) garlic.
I've never roasted them before somebody told me that they are very good that way, thanks for sharing with me
Theyre really good! They much more mellow in flavor and work really well in almost anything and everything
I watch a lot of cooking videos but never subscribed to any of them before now. The commentary is genius, and I'm now a subscriber to your channel. 😂❤
Great vid with lots of humor over tones! Lol. I grow lots of garlic, harvested 200 pounds this year! Roasted garlic is like candy!

Came across this channel, love the videos and def subscribed also, thanks Black Tie~
Thank YOU!
How long can this last? Also, should it stored in the fridge or just on a shelf?

^ this 🤤
Thank you for this question and answer accidently bought too much prepeeled garlic! Lol
Love my Corelle bowl too ;)
I love garlic
Me too 😄
Can roasted garlic be preserved in the freezer?
OK I think I like the first method better. When one has thar jar of roasted garlic in one's fridge, how do you suggest it be used?
You can scoop it out, or let it sit on the counter for a little bit!
sub'd. Loved the commentary. Fun. Educational.
Thanks!
how do u store the second method
It can last on the counter for a bit, just make sure everything is full submerged. If its not submerged, mold can grow
Thanks nate litrally makeing your second way now
Let me know how it turns out!
How do you store using the preferred method, same as the messy method in a jar with some rosemary? Also, loved the voice over, subscribing now
Yeah, the one thing is you want to make sure everything is submerged in oil. Otherwise the risk of mold will be much higher!
Wondering how long this keeps for?
It will keep for a bit. In my case, the rosemary that was exposed to the air is what got moldy
About to roast some garlic... right now!
Soooooo gewd

Lol ill keep that in mind!
What are some good health benefits of garlic?
It's great vampire repellant. There are some studies, but I dont have them on hand. It does contain a good amount of manganese
but whole peeled cloves.. makes it soo much easier.
It does. Those go bad rather quickly though. There have apparently been some questionable practices with some of those companies as well 🤷♂️
@@BlackTieKitchen which are? I've been using them in jars (organic) for years.. never a problem.

What about botulism? Isn't that an issue? Or if the garlic is cooked then is ok?
Garlic is actually really good at keeping microbes away and things infused in oil usually do decently well - but Im not a food scientist/food safety researcher.

@@BlackTieKitchen Thank you! I've always have that doubt
Jist take my opinion with a big grain of salt - it's only anecdotal 😂
Lol Going forward try saying Al-Lu-Min-eeum
😄
@@BlackTieKitchen not a critique. Love the content bruv lol
This guy is so delicious! He’s like the culinary Frazier and Niles with a dash of Eddy!
😂😂
Random but if they look for another voice for agent 47 in the hitman games. He is your man
😄🤞
I dunno man, you sounds like that narrator from Nat. Geo. in the 90s. I totally forgot his name.
Sir David Attenborough
@@BlackTieKitchen ah yes that's him.
For that matter you got a sub. Looking forward see more videos on your channel.
You sound like a pompous babish 🤭 subbed
I 💚 you
Is this nation geographic? Lol
Mehbeh

@@BlackTieKitchen and you allow them to influence the way you talk, shame on you.

I think I love you
Think is a strong word!
why are you talking about yourself in third person?
Why not? Lol
this video was so short yet it felt so long and was hard to endure the only thing dryer than that horendous garlic was your "humor'
