Im still in love with the franchise even to this day and juju challenge was one of my first ever DS games..and that alone made me fall in love with this franchise. Though I never got around to play power of juju 😞 I played juju challenge and staff of dreams and it's always nostalgic and on my mind

It was one of the first for me as well. It's kind of sad how forgotten these games are now and weird. Like Tak was everywhere for years and then it just disappeared from public consousness over night seemingly? It's not like these were generic or mediocre games either as they were very well produced for the time and the phantassy style was an unusual choice for a platformer and still is and the mix of nicktoon style writing and animation with a tribal jungle setting was very different from your Klonoas and Spyros. The way you could mount animals like in donkey kong country was also very unique to the series among 3d platformers at the time and to this day. Aside from maybe Mario Odysseys possession mechanic and occasional moments in that series like riding the jaxi or yoshi and maybe the animal buddies in Billy Hatcher(although they work more like power ups) I can't think of any other 3d platformers that do anything like that

This and the first Jak and Daxter will always hold a special place in my heart. Me and my younger brother played the hell out if them. They're also the only two games our mom ever bought for us before she passed. I cant wait to show my son these games when he gets old enough, even though i know im going to end up in tears.

Every now and again you get a yoshis crafted world, a tear away, a Mario Odyssey or an astro bot, but quality kids games like this just aren't as common as they used to be in the tripple a space. I find myself going back to the wii and gamecube(as well as the other consoles of that generation) whenever I have an itch for something more light hearted that can't quite be scratched by an indie
I was almost 7 when this game came out, and you know I damn well played this and the sequels out. It was so much damn fun. For me as a child, this game was filled with such adventure and mystery. I constantly played it, I would return to it every day after coming home from school, playing it in my free time. It was amazing, it was a blast, it was back when I had happiness. Now I'm going on 22, with clinical depression. It's hard to get out of bed some days, amd other days I'm too depressed to get out of bed so I lie and call off sick but really am just laying in bed wallowing in my own misery. Every other if not every day, I think about suicide. I'm just too scared, don't know where I'll go, to actually kill myself.

First, it might need exposure by figures who has an audience and is well respected in the gaming community. Battle of Bikini Bottom still had some palpable pressence in speedrun space and the fact SpongeBob franchise is still alive contributed to the remaster happening. The Tak series is much less remembered, sadly, and we don't know if Viacom still bothers with the IP

I was staring at the feathers on the floor and randomly got a memory in my head and googled "game with feathers" and then found this. Big bast from the plast, i would have been 6 years old on release and remember sitting down in my bean bag type chair playing this game. I remember chasing all the feathers and possibly there being a purple feather too. There's also another game i'm trying to remember what it was called, you were like a little ninja dude and there was a bunch of gigantic robots across the "map" that needed to be activated and you would fight them. Probably because there were a couple dozen action platformers that came out in this era, that looked nearly identical to this, and played basically the same. Tak was not the first, or the last, but it was basically the most forgettable.
