Monster Houses usually started spawning in Uproar Forest but they didn't start becoming exceptionally dangerous until you reached the Sky Tower. ESPECIALLY when you had to deal with Ghost types who liked to hide within walls and attack, while you couldn't do jack shit.
I remember crying while going through Sky Tower the first time. The music sounds so melancholy, and with what you knew during your first run..that it was the last adventure you would have with your partner, that you would have to leave all that you knew and have come to love.. it's heart wrenching. I still find myself near tears at times, its so beautiful. heh, I also remember crying afterwards, and when my mom asked, I only said.. "My character's friend used to come over and say 'good morning' every day and now he doesn't! I miss my friend ;n;" Interesting how little things can just get to you emotionally after a while..
Minecraftnoob641 ..yes...? I've played through Red Rescue Team 6-ish times, always ending around the Ho-Oh events. (I would get bored or lost around that time) I was talking about how I felt during my original run in 2006(?). I didn't have access to the internet, only being 8-10 years old, and didn't know about a epilogue. I thought that Sky Tower WAS the end, and was crying tears of joy when I learned that it wasn't. (note that in the original post I said 'First run' once or twice, hinting that someone who didn't know the ending would probably feel/think such things..like I did in my first run.)

Maybe then, will your feelings revive." Then it hit me like 5 fury swipes and a silver wind... Why not play the game how it was meant to be? Dieing won't be an option. You can't recruit members, as they are afraid of the apocalyptic events. And items cannot bring you back to life. This is what I called a PMD "Nuzlocke." Meant to show a challenge, bring rage, and show persistence. THIS was what I was meant for, and I knew it. After 67 attempts (yes I wrote it down) i made it to sky tower. It was so long since I last made it to this point (around 7 months,) and to know I made it here without dying, using recruits, or using mass reviver seeds really encouraged me. The music is what killed me, however. Because of how it was meant to make the player feel nostalgic, I broke down into tears that night. Finally, I regained my strength, and continued. Lil ol Cynder and Toto swept the entire dungeon, and I made it to rayquaza with ease. Defeated him in 3 turns by using attract and Totodile using ice beam. It felt so good, it felt amazing, to know I beat this game, no, my CHILDHOOD, without dying once. I let go of the game for 3 years. Today I've completed a Nuzlocke of every PMD using Cynder and Toto. One of my most challenging Nuzlockes being Super Mystery Dungeon, with a walloping 247 attempts. I still remember that very day of which I beat rayquaza and completed my first nuzlocke.
@@keksimusmaximus444 That's one hell of a story man, I should try a run like that one of these days. This specific game gave me so many hours of emotion, somewhere between fun and extreme relief after a long dungeon. I've heard great things about PMD2, I want to finally play that someday soon.
I'm 16 years old and I still think this series is the best of pokemon. It has a deeper storyline and has amazing music!! This just happens to be my favourite song of all time too :p

Its amazing how in this version with the GBA Music Chip, the 2:05 You can hear a sound like a bird flapping wings that make the ambient better than DS version, Its Awesome.

Trust me, it's not just you. The Sky Tower theme in Blue Rescue team sounds pretty horrible to be honest. Almost like they just totally half-assed it entirely.
i think the reason is that the ds was so new at the time that most company's did not really understand the software capabilities while they knew more about the limitations of the gba so as a result the red version has a better sound OR MAYBE CUZ NOSTALGIA :3
Aza Person my first Pokemon Mystery Dungeon was Red Rescue Team in fact I like Red Rescue Team's music more than blue's it's just that it has better sound capabilities than Red just stating the facts ok :3

Damn, this dungeon was hard. The build up to it wasn't as great as how Time, Darkness and Sky did it with their final dungeon, but it was definitely harder than Temporal tower was. I still have trouble beating it today.
I remember having no prob with monster houses in sky tower, now temporal tower was horrible so many agilities and discharges, one does not simply survive with ease
Melon Bread I have a harder time with temporal tower usually. Monster houses with porygons spamming discharge. Although I have the hardest time with dark crater. Everything fucking has earth power and creselia wastes like half my reviver seed

KingKramer Yeah,probably.Maybe Dig isn't so useful due to flying types,but Pikachu with electric moves was somewhat useful,and I gave Treecko Attract,it worked quite fine.
Man, my first introduction to sky tower was a monster house with a bannette, an Aerodactyl, 3 Venemoths, 2 Tropius, and a Flygon. Aerodactyl agility + Venemoth silver wind (and boosting...), and Tropius gusting me away quite literally was impossible for me to get through without dying (believe me, I tried scumming so hard, and it just didn't work). Phenomenal music. The climb back up was worth it.
Haha the nostalgia man, I remember I was like 10 when I was playing this first time and I was goddamn clueless about anything, I always die to the ghost pokemon and I dont know how to deal dmg since they are on the walls. Brings me back sky tower haha.
There’s something gorgeous about this theme I can’t even describe with words. I owe great thanks to such wonderful game that gave me joy while no one would hang out with me.
Red Rescue Team has several mixes that are a lot better than Blue, including this. I do really like both versions though, but if I had to guess, they planned the game for GBA and then had limited time to optimize the DS versions (along with implementing wonder mail and stuff). And sometimes the DS tracks are too HQ for their own good. A couple of the Friend Area pieces especially have that problem.
I personally feel like there are songs that RRT thrives at, especially with how but crushed they are. However, I really feel like this song specifically is a lot better in BRT because you're in the sky, it's supposed to be soft and light, not have a lot of hard knocks and whatnot. That's just my opinion though.

If you guys are comparing the soundtracks of the two games based on BrawlBRSTMs3 X's rips, there ain't no need, because all of those uploads are pretty flawed, heh. The Blue version lacks some punch and bass (like, it literally lacks the bass-track) and the Red has some weird wobbly vibrato-effect on the synth and strings. Thanks for uploading the clean ones, dialga.
Most of the rips I hear from him are flawless, but some GBA rips are just awful. I just assumed it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered. Thank god I found this one.
The ost is a contrast of the dungeon itself. It felt so peaceful yet it was such dangerous place. Haha Got to love your first encounter with a Monster House! 😂
You enter the last main storyline dungeon and this theme starts, i can't describe it with words but progressing through the dungeon with this OST playing was, and every time is, an incredible feeling
+John Smith remember the game boy? Yeah that's why the music is good. The game boy had a more focused set of sounds it could handle. This is why you hear static, beeps, fizzles, and other stuff. Rumor has it that this theme uses every sound the game boy can handle. The original song was a lot more dull, until someone remixed it from the GBA's code. This song, no, MASTERPIECE was created through old technology. We may have hi-res speakers, fancy base drops and what-not, but nothing touches, nor gives as much emotion as a single beep or ting. This is because we know what has happened, but we don't know what happens next, because the note is already over. With notes that are elongated, you know how it will sound for a long period, which makes it dull and fails to catch the listeners attention. That's why this masterpiece is amazing, as with short notes, yet long ones in different areas, makes it sound like the end of an adventure to be known for a thousand years...
guys are any of you coming back and listening to this video like i do? I dont care how old this game is i listen to this video at least a few times a month. Every once in a while i get the urge to think back to old times and fill myself with nostalgia of my old partner on the game who made me believe in shit again. Sounds stupid i know. But when this game came out i actually started coming out of my shell and started talking to people, i have friends to this day because of it....most suck but one is amazing. Its because of this game that i found him. I know its a long shot since the last post is years old but if anybody has something to say ill listen and respond.
My version is Blue Rescue Team, and while I first thought this theme sounds more subtle than its DS counterpart, I feel more at home with these GBA drums. My ears are very pleased.
I think Blue rescue team's version is how Sky Tower was supposed to sound but they didn't have the storage space or fidelity to make it work on GBA so they fudged it with "lesser" instruments and a few more drum parts and it ended up sounding better.
Hearing the Blue Rescue Team version first and then going back to the Red Rescue Team version, i can hear the differences, the most noticable part to me was in 2:03 where i noticed the extra noise instrument that wasn't in the Blue version. I say i do like both versions, Blue sounding with more Quality but with a few lacks and Red with reduced quality but still nostalgic.
The crazy thing about this song is that is was near the end of the main story and it really gave that feeling to this level. This the end, the reason your here, it's do or die.

I only had 2 big apples with me lol i fed myself from random apples on the clouds, most of my items were oran berries and 2 reviver seeds (I stocked up in iron throrns, gravelerocks and of course! Silver spikes!)
My cyndaquil named SMK and my partner (I believe charmander) just plowed through the entire dungeon. It was with cost though, as I made it out without any reviver seeds...
As someone who played through this game recently with save states on the Wii U Virtual Console, they won’t save you when the stairs are inside the Monster House/you spawn in it
Epic music right here. Loved playing this game. I don't know why people say you're compromised if you become the pokemon Pikachu. I always made it work and each time I started a new game I desired to become Pikachu, who is my favorite pokemon. I got by because I taught him Thunderbolt, Thunder, Brick Break, and Iron Tail. I also had Cyndaquil as my partner pokemon. and I refuse to evolve my Pikachu because he's so good and because Ash never did. Then I got really busy but I plan to return soon.
Sky Tower...my childhood just gave me a punch in the groin, and then nostalgia came out of it. Dirty joke aside, I LOVED THIS GAME TO DEATH!! However, my DS Lite broke and I can no longer experience the real joy of this game...only on an emulator. It doesn't feel the same at all T____T

Gameboy's simplicity made red rescue team have a fantastic OST, but due to Nintendo (and gamefreak) wanting to become more modern, they chose new musical assets, which made blue's OST bland
The actual rithm pattern is: ( - Accent . Pulse) - 1.2.3.4 - 1.2.3 - 1.2.3.4 - 1.2.3 - 1.2 =16 This could give us 4/16, 8/8 or 16/4 with odd accentuations. (Not to mention 2/32 lol) Arata is such a master compossing bangers like this.

No recuerdo bien mi experiencia con este juego ya que lo completé cuando tenía 10 años, pero escuchar esto aún me parte el alma
Saber que será tu última aventura, y aún así ir a cumplir el objetivo por el cual fuiste enviado a ese mundo para que no sea destruido, y peor aún, tu compañero no sabe nada al respecto, una formula que se repetiría con ciertas varianzas en los próximos juegos es lo que hace que precisamente la sección final de la historia principal sea tan tortuosa (además de la cantidad excesiva de pisos, nidos de monstruos y esas cosas xd)

I tell her,"You obviously have never played this game, nor felt what it's like after a few dungeons or follow the story. Your argument is invalid, until you play it all the way through." I got her convinced to play it. After she said she was done, it was her fifth playthrough... This game and its creators have made a universal emotion even to those who haven't played Pokemon. It's so amazing...

Trust me, it's not just you. The Sky Tower theme in Blue Rescue team sounds pretty horrible to be honest. Almost like they just totally half-assed it entirely.
i think the reason is that the ds was so new at the time that most company's did not really understand the software capabilities while they knew more about the limitations of the gba so as a result the red version has a better sound

Aza Person my first Pokemon Mystery Dungeon was Red Rescue Team in fact I like Red Rescue Team's music more than blue's it's just that it has better sound capabilities than Red just stating the facts ok :3

This is beautiful, epic, Red rescue had an awesome soundtrack...chills down my spine, and the Blue version sounds so...empty.
Most of the sounds you hear on Red compared to Blue are removed, due to it being too much, which is weird ik.

Damn, this dungeon was hard.
The build up to it wasn't as great as how Time, Darkness and Sky did it with their final dungeon, but it was definitely harder than Temporal tower was.
I still have trouble beating it today.
I remember having no prob with monster houses in sky tower, now temporal tower was horrible so many agilities and discharges, one does not simply survive with ease

Melon Bread I have a harder time with temporal tower usually. Monster houses with porygons spamming discharge. Although I have the hardest time with dark crater. Everything fucking has earth power and creselia wastes like half my reviver seed

the hidden land however is a nightmare because of all the thunder rods pokemons
@@femmefuntimeI feel like Temporal Tower was nothing Since I Stacked Up So many Orbs(Used 12) So It was Easy I found Sky tower to be most difficult since many Moves Were not Added that Time After Gen 4 Arrived more moves were added making More Moves Available and little Easy To reach the top

KingKramer Yeah,probably.Maybe Dig isn't so useful due to flying types,but Pikachu with electric moves was somewhat useful,and I gave Treecko Attract,it worked quite fine.
Man, my first introduction to sky tower was a monster house with a bannette, an Aerodactyl, 3 Venemoths, 2 Tropius, and a Flygon. Aerodactyl agility + Venemoth silver wind (and boosting...), and Tropius gusting me away quite literally was impossible for me to get through without dying (believe me, I tried scumming so hard, and it just didn't work).
Phenomenal music. The climb back up was worth it.
I remember falling in love with this song. It's still amazing to this day. I still remember the emotions I had during this level. :) Ugh.

Red Rescue Team has several mixes that are a lot better than Blue, including this. I do really like both versions though, but if I had to guess, they planned the game for GBA and then had limited time to optimize the DS versions (along with implementing wonder mail and stuff). And sometimes the DS tracks are too HQ for their own good. A couple of the Friend Area pieces especially have that problem.
I personally feel like there are songs that RRT thrives at, especially with how but crushed they are. However, I really feel like this song specifically is a lot better in BRT because you're in the sky, it's supposed to be soft and light, not have a lot of hard knocks and whatnot. That's just my opinion though.

If you guys are comparing the soundtracks of the two games based on BrawlBRSTMs3 X's rips, there ain't no need, because all of those uploads are pretty flawed, heh. The Blue version lacks some punch and bass (like, it literally lacks the bass-track) and the Red has some weird wobbly vibrato-effect on the synth and strings. Thanks for uploading the clean ones, dialga.
Most of the rips I hear from him are flawless, but some GBA rips are just awful. I just assumed it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered. Thank god I found this one.
The ost is a contrast of the dungeon itself. It felt so peaceful yet it was such dangerous place.

You enter the last main storyline dungeon and this theme starts, i can't describe it with words but progressing through the dungeon with this OST playing was, and every time is, an incredible feeling

Rumor has it that this theme uses every sound the game boy can handle. The original song was a lot more dull, until someone remixed it from the GBA's code. This song, no, MASTERPIECE was created through old technology. We may have hi-res speakers, fancy base drops and what-not, but nothing touches, nor gives as much emotion as a single beep or ting. This is because we know what has happened, but we don't know what happens next, because the note is already over. With notes that are elongated, you know how it will sound for a long period, which makes it dull and fails to catch the listeners attention. That's why this masterpiece is amazing, as with short notes, yet long ones in different areas, makes it sound like the end of an adventure to be known for a thousand years...

guys are any of you coming back and listening to this video like i do? I dont care how old this game is i listen to this video at least a few times a month. Every once in a while i get the urge to think back to old times and fill myself with nostalgia of my old partner on the game who made me believe in shit again. Sounds stupid i know. But when this game came out i actually started coming out of my shell and started talking to people, i have friends to this day because of it....most suck but one is amazing. Its because of this game that i found him. I know its a long shot since the last post is years old but if anybody has something to say ill listen and respond.

I think Blue rescue team's version is how Sky Tower was supposed to sound but they didn't have the storage space or fidelity to make it work on GBA so they fudged it with "lesser" instruments and a few more drum parts and it ended up sounding better.

Hearing the Blue Rescue Team version first and then going back to the Red Rescue Team version, i can hear the differences, the most noticable part to me was in 2:03 where i noticed the extra noise instrument that wasn't in the Blue version.
I say i do like both versions, Blue sounding with more Quality but with a few lacks and Red with reduced quality but still nostalgic.

As someone who played through this game recently with save states on the Wii U Virtual Console, they won’t save you when the stairs are inside the Monster House/you spawn in it

Epic music right here. Loved playing this game. I don't know why people say you're compromised if you become the pokemon Pikachu. I always made it work and each time I started a new game I desired to become Pikachu, who is my favorite pokemon. I got by because I taught him Thunderbolt, Thunder, Brick Break, and Iron Tail. I also had Cyndaquil as my partner pokemon. and I refuse to evolve my Pikachu because he's so good and because Ash never did. Then I got really busy but I plan to return soon.
Tbh, Pikachu is probably the best partner or leader to have because of one simple move. AGILITY. Explorers steps it up by having discharge.

Gameboy's simplicity made red rescue team have a fantastic OST, but due to Nintendo (and gamefreak) wanting to become more modern, they chose new musical assets, which made blue's OST bland
Certain parts of this remind of Spyro the dragon and many older games in the past.
I like those fluttering and extra noises that this version had, but i like the smoothness of the audio in blue. Maybe a mashup would be good?
