Udaipur! The name itself fills one with lots of emotions and colours. It is perhaps one of the most beautiful cities of Rajasthan State in India. It is also called the City of Lakes and Venice of the East.
It was founded in 1553 by Maharana Udai Singh II as the new capital of Mewar Kingdom and is located in the Girwa Valley to the southwest of Nagda, which was the first capital of Mewar.
Rajasthan being so rich in history and culture, leaves no exception in case of Udaipur as well.
