What would you have done if it was you in Palestine? It is very easy for those of us living in safe countries where we are not being oppressed by an occupier government, to pass judgement on the actions of others.
Did you know the week before 7 October, Netanyahu was at th UN with a map showing Gaza and the West Bank completely annexed and labeled Israel? He was saying Israel was going to do a peace deal with Saudi Arabia.
Did you know, at the same time Israeli ambassadors at the UN were giving television interviews to Israeli TV saying that part of the peace talks with Saudi Arabia was that all Arab nations had to abandon Palestine? The Arab nations were the only reason Israel had not done before what they are doing now.
The Palestinian people realised this was a death sentence for them. They knew Israel was going to do what they have done, Israel just wanted an excuse. Are you aware, Israel would have manufactured an excuse if the attack did not happen on 7 Oct?
Apparently, it was not just Hamas, but other resistance orgs with them, we only know of Hamas because Israel has been calling them out repeatedly as if they are the ones to blame.
Israel was always going to do this. Even if the Palestinians did not attack, Israel was going to do this. Are you saying if you were in their shoes you would have sat back and done nothing?
You can't say that, because unless you have actually been in that situation, you have no clue how you would respond. The Palestinians are the victims here. They have done nothing wrong. The west should not be judging them and especially not Muslims in the west. When you do that, it only serves Israel.

      Assalamu alaikum
Thank you for taking the time to.watch the video and posting comments.
I should say immediately that I am not an Imaam, but was asked to give a short address around the current issue and I decided to give some personal thoughts.
I think I may have been misunderstood and I apologise if it didn't make clear that I do support the protests and any other form of legal activism. I am involved with the local Palestinian Solidarity Campaign and my family and I have been on all.the vigils and demonstrations, signed petitions and written to.our MP. My discussion was to address the feelings of frustration and possibly disillusionment among my Muslim brothers and sisters. I wanted to make clear that the Almighty is the ultimate source of peace and justice and that as he (swt) says in the Quran and through Hadith, we need to turn to him.
Thank you again and May Allah swt bless us all and bring relief and peace to the holy lands. Ameen

@@waleeda2769 Thank you for taking the time to explain this, even though you didn't have to. I very much appreciate it. I am a little sensitive over all the criticism I have seen for Palestinians from people in the west who are privileged and have never really thought about what they would do if it was them. I think I listened to what you said, coming from that internal space. Apologies for misunderstanding your message.
