Hello everyone and welcome to our channel. If you are new here, our names are Rhea & Sam and together we quit our corporate jobs in London to travel the world!
Join us today as we travel from Medan, Sumatra to Bukit Lawang BY PUBLIC BUS! We decided to take the cheapest way to Bukit Lawang and it was a crazy adventure! We took the bus from the Mawar Bakery and Cake shop as we heard that it’s a safer pick up location than the bus terminal. The exact location is here: Mawar Bakery & Cake Shop, Jl. Pinang Baris Medan No.261, Lalang, Kec. Medan Sunggal, Kota Medan, Sumatera Utara 20218, Indonesia

On the one hand, palm oil is very profitable, but on the other hand, it destroys forests and the environment. many oil palm plantation companies both in Sumatra and Indonesia destroy forests and they do not have permits but the government does not dare to take action. here the government supports palm oil more than forests and the environment because palm oil is still the main ingredient, especially cooking oil and others.There is no good public transportation to go to Bukit Lawang or vice versa, even though Bukit Lawang is one of the most popular tourist attractions in North Sumatra after Lake Toba. From then until now the bus goes to Bukit Lawang Kecil, very bad and no progress every year.
