Sorry, for me 'disturbing' the apes in the forest is unethical tourism. This is my opinion.
We’re sorry you feel that way. We chose Sumatra eco travel as they do not feed the animals, they only take small groups to the forest and you’re not allowed to make noise around the wildlife. We did see some other groups with a lot of people in, and we felt the same as you about that. The reason there’s so few animals left is because of deforestation for palm oil and farming, so actually these tours are helping to fund the national park to keep their habitat protected 💚
@duosdream yes many forested areas are unfortunately left for greedy plantations. Sad. Believe me or not the first palm oil was introduced by a French guy in south east asia. The first rubber tree was first introduced by the British in South east asia. Humans must know how to balance economy and nature. Otherwise both will suffer during global warming. Which we can see worldwide. Yes you are right, some tour people are not the same as others. In the past, I saw vlogs showing western tourists hugging the wild animals. Transferring diseases between each other (dna almost the same) and risking injuries.
@@keangwooichoo6138 that’s so sad, I wanted to hug them because they’re so beautiful but I never would 🙈 we hope people use Sumatra eco travel if they wish to do the tour, they’re a brilliant company and really care about the wildlife and the forest ✨
