Hey I'm Eric, are you working on the Jacksonville, Fl port? If so, I ordered a Porsche 911 and is due around 4/27- 4/28 in Jacksonville. I was wondering if you can post a video of you guys onloading the cars? Especially mine? Thank you.
Hey Eric, I work at the Port of Tacoma. Unfortunately I won’t be in Jacksonville or I would definitely get you some video. Thanks for watching, congratulations on your new car.
@@JDMRightHandDrive If you do not mind me asking, would you happen to know someone that works at the port in Jacksonville? And thank you. I always found it fascinating to watch the process of shipping a car.
Great video man. Looking forward to part two of the terra firma carpet install and rust fix. Any idea when that’ll be coming out? I just finished the install on my 801 black carpet as well.
It is going to be a while. I figure maybe around spring. I have to save some money to get the car fixed. The GTR is still sitting and I have not touched it in 2 months. I will post it as soon as it is complete.
I’m considering shipping a couple of cars of mine to Colombia, I hear that some have had nightmares having to grease the palm of corrupt people working where the ship docks. Wondering if it’s even worth the possible trouble and extra money.
I would do some research on the Port of Entry and see is there are any reported issues with that port. Not sure how things work on Columbia. But in the USA all major sea ports have 24/7 security. You need special clearance to gain access to the sea port as well. Plus you have to have all the necessary paperwork in order to receive you vehicle from port. I would imagine Columbia would operate in a similar fashion to this. But, I would definitely do your research.
Nice video, thank you. I would like to transport my boat which is sitting on boat's trailer so it is towable. When i arrive at port, do i need to move my boat and trailer into the ship or just simply leave it on port's parking and ship crew will move it into the ship? Also what is reverse process at destination port?
Nice video, is there a particular loading pattern followed when loading the vessel. Are they loaded from bottom deck to top deck or are they randomly loaded?
Generally they load starting from the bottom of the vessel for stability. Crazy considering they will load 5000+ car on a single vessel in Korea in just one day!
I have used Japanpartner.com in the past. Was not the best overall experience. I would look into www.beforward.jp/ seems to be a much more reputable company. Plus Sammit recommends them and he is in Japan looking at everything in person on his channel. Check that out if you haven't.
I would love to know about legit sites/GTR prices etc... I just bought a R32 GTR and your vids have been helping me do general maintenance and restoration. Thanks! Also whatever happened with the rust issue?
I will share some info about how to purchase cars from auction soon. As far as the rust, saving some cash to pay for the repair. Wont be done for a few months or so. Thanks man!
Hey dude nice short video there, I have a question mate maybe you know, I would like to buy a truck here in the UK and send it to South Africa, problem is it doesn't drive due engine damage, is it possible to ship this since it is not driveble?
Yes, should be pretty easy if it is shipped in a container even with in not running. I would not recommend roro shiping. I don't think the shipping line would take a not running vehicle on s roro.
We can unload up to about 2000 cars per day depending on conditions. Some ships may have nearly 5000 cars to be unloaded. For ships of this size we would work 8 hour shifts for 3 days in a row to finish.
Hey there! I have recently purchased a jdm and it is currently getting prepped for Roro shipping. Do you know which forms I must submit and how I can get access to my vehicle once it has arrived? I’m in NY. Thanks so much for the help.
Your export in Japan should be sending you an ISF form. You need to hire a customs agent first. You need to submit the ISF form to them. once they have that they can schedule everything through the port of arrival for your vehicle. The dealer will also send you a customs packet for all the export documents. You provide those your customs agent and they will build you a customs entry packet. once the car arrives at the port you bring the customs entry packet and you pick up the car. You bring the car in the customs entry packet to customs and you get the vehicle cleared. From there you take it to the DMV and you register it under your name.

Cool video, nice to see how the cars come into the country!
I worked in the engine room on a RORO for a total of about seven months.
Thank you for showing us I enjoyed it
Glad you enjoyed it
Are the cars safe on the ship? What’s the chance of the ship sinking?
How many straps does eatch train have on it?

I wish they would SELL them RO_RO Car straps. The over center tie downs!! They are far better then racket straps for Atv's and snowmobile trailer etc.

Have you contacted a local customs broker? I would imagine they should have that info for you!

Hi, can you share your experience that you do it all by yourself. I purchased a car in France and plan to ship it back to USA, thank you so much!
They won't accept electric cars for Ro-Ro. You have to ship by container.
We usually have hundreds of electric car on every car ship we discharge to the USA.
If it's shipped by RORO, then we need to pay more shipping cost at destination port ?
Port of Tacoma charges a cargo discharge fee or about $120.00 or so for RORO
@@JDMRightHandDrive if it's to the UK, we need to pay almost same fee here? And port fee , VAT, duty, we need to drive it from RoRO shipping??

Yeah prices are ridiculous now. It priced me out of the market for a bunch of different car I wanted to import.
