The scene in the brig. I laughed my butt off. I had the blessing of portraying Joe E. Brown in a stage show a few years ago, and watched many of his films to prepare. Joe was the Jim Carrey of his day. He was an enormous comedy star. Movies like this hysterical one are why. It’s hard to believe he’s almost completely forgotten and obscure now.

Yes, there is an edit button: click on the 3 dots on the right. This is a fab thing. I wonder if it is brand new or if I failed to notice it all these years! D)
Old man: "I can't fix the telephone. I'm a bicycle man." Joe: "Well, get me a bicycle then!" Old man: "I can't." Joe: "Why?!" Old man: "I gotta fix this telephone."
Joe E Brown always had the most beautiful love interest such as Ginger Rodgers, Oliva De Havilland , Dorothy Lee, Patricia Ellis and this term Helen Mack, what a lucky guy!
I was very confused about the ending. So who is now in charge of the government? Was she being brought back to foment a revolution to reinstall the monarchy. Why was she going to be killed by men acting as government soldiers? What were the men in the hay wagon supposed to be doing? Is it worth it to watch it again for possible answers? No.

Joe E. Brown was of that physical comedy trend we shall never see again.

41:20 Joe E Brown famous yell!!! =D
Very good nostalgia
Some major stunt work in the last few minutes makes up for some of this movies flaws: it goes uncredited which is a real shame
That haycart sequence.
Funny , Slap Stick Comedy !

I like Joe E. Brown sometimes, but this was hard to sit through. I did it just to test myself.
