It might be a mix of people were too focused on them dying day 1 from dehydration (which for non worms isn't really possible I think) and also how Worm Train technically isn't a worm or a train. My own headcanon for Worm Train is they weren't made to drink water yet they still need it to live. Worm Train's dehydration death was because of Elon Musk not knowing how worms work.
