Matt brown was Justin gaethje before Justin gaethje.
Immortal, now and forever.
I’m about the same age as Matt, and I realize the OG’s are retiring. It’s definitely a game for younger dudes.
Respect to this man. Enjoy retirement Immortal!
He’s truly an example of a fighter… overcoming drugs, demons, and various warriors. He came out the womb scraping, then honed and sharpened his blades. Blacksmith of the beatdown. Thank you sir.
LEGEND!
Eh... veteran. Not a legend. People throw that word out to frequently. Good career but not a legendary one. Wasn't a champion, never even fought for the title. Just being honest.
@@ApexPunisherX in my book he is for being around for so long in one of the hardest things a person can do in life and still managed to look good in his last bouts. But I do see your point.
Matt Brown, Carlos Condit, and Dustin Poirier to me are dudes that I have always done my best to watch their fights. I’ll never forget the beat down Matt put on Erick Silva, the fight vs Robbie Lawler, Forrest Griffin yelling “Matt animal” in TUF, and the brutal KO vs Diego Sanchez. What a legend
Now we only have Miller, OSP, Arlovski, and Ferguson left as UFC veterans... maybe forgetting some. In a few years, all the legendary vets will be gone..
His 7 fight win streak was such a fun time I'm ufc history. When he headlined Cincinnati and Dana said, this is no longer Rich Franklin's town. So great. Immortal!
enjoyed watching and listening to Matt through the years
the sport is losing a good man and a true tough guy
in the immortal Matt Brown
Matt always brought it. Loved watching Matt fight. Bitter sweet but he was one of the few who fought at an older age and didn't fall off drastically
matt brown is a legend.......
Love Matt Brown!
Matt Brown ur a fkn legend, congratulations and I know you'll kick ass in your next ventures as well.
a legend of sport of mma .... the addiction he bit is better than any belt
Matts one of those guys that never got a title but in my mind is an old school legend. He put on some really exciting fights, enjoy the retirement brother🍻
Matt Brown is a legend. Blessings brother!!
His recent ko victories were insane
One of my favorite fighters: his resume, his mentality and the fact that he fought into his 40’s and was still doing well
Brown vs Silva was a great fight!
Great interview! Best of luck to a new chapter in an Immortal life..
Don't know why he assumed him vs Jim Miller was a no brainer when it wasn't. Jim's a 155er and him vs Bobby Green was more desired than him vs Miller. Plus, there's only so much room on a card. If it's full then it's full.
It made sense because both of them are legends who are retiring and jim fighting at 170 is nothing he wouldn't have to cut as much weight. I'd much rather have seen matt vs jim than bobby green piecing him up for 3 rounds.
Respect. Big fan, enjoy retirement
A true martial artist. Can't teach what he possesses. Gave it all in the cage and now giving back. Drink his coffee and subscribe to his newsletter!
Will never forget the hellbow to Diego Sanchez. Enjoy retirement Immortal
How the UFC failed to put Brown on UFC 300 is beyond me. It defies logic. One of the longest tenured guys on the roster, and the all time WW record holder in KOs/finishes - and they don't give him even a prelim slot on the card as a send off? Just flat out moronic.
He is better in his mind than in real life 😂
UFC dropped the ball, if Matt Brown wants to be on UFC 300, you put him on UFC 300, I don't care who the opponent is.
I wish i could do 100 000 likes
bro got underpaid
Always worrying about somebody elses money.
everyone can find a victim on social media.
No way that he won that Lawler fight. It was a clear 49-46. I recall him getting hurt in that fight as well
He should of retire at ufc 300 after his loss to Bobby green
Excellent fighter .. a real man!
Best of luck in the future!
