Thanks so much for posting this video. I have just finished ours and relied heavily on seeing how you guys approached things that were not clear in the instructions or app! One thing that the instructions didn't even mention was that you actually need to drill some holes in the roof to fit the ridge channels and the final trims! No idea why they did not make this clear and drill size needed etc. As for the roof, some rails inside to position and slide the roof panels on would have been a massive help - how the hell you did it just the two of you was awesome; as you said though; nearly died about 4 times 😀 I'm with you on that! Final result is great but so stressful to build. Thanks again; massive respect 👏Looking forward to some better weather now!
Just finished building my gazebo last night. Took Saturday and Sunday.. quick tip that worked for me when peeling off the blue film. I used a blade just enough to start peeling it off
I am putting together a 12x16. I just finished putting tin on and getting ready to add the ridge channel. Hoping I put it all together right.... ahhh wish me luck. I agree it smells good!
Wow! Congrats on your project. I have one of these too to construct and install too. I'm putting mine on concrete which was a project by itself. I have done my slabs and need to finish all the details of that. Now I see there are only two of you and just one of me and I see the roof sections look pretty heavy. I can see I need to enlist at least one other person to help me get those roof panels up and on the frame. Thanks for sharing. I know you are enjoying it.
Im about to buy this come April ! Hoping me and a buddy can knock it on in 2 days over the weekend. Been wanting my a gazebo the last 2 years for summer time when we host for shade lol and it’s a nice look
Great video!! I'm stuck in the part were I have to square the structure. How do I get to the desired length, I'm short by and inch, do I pull one post out?
Can you remove the top roof cap and feed the ridge caps from the top? I’m afraid I’m going to be too close to my house to get them in from the bottom, unless they’re very flexible. Good job on yours. Video was very helpful.
I’m putting together a 12x14 version of that Gazebo and started on the first panel and noticed the rafters align about 1/2” over top the outer rafters frame. Did y’all have that issue? Thinking of planing it down some. A 1/4” isn’t going to bother me but I’m worried about the 1/2”
Thanks for the video! Was wanting to know if i wanted to buy it, and if i wanted to tackle it myself. I saw one main complaint with these is that the roof pieces arent like flush to each other. You all have an issue with rain droping in between the roof pieces?
Hello! So the roof pieces were definitely a trickier part of the build, but we can happily report we do not have any leaks. This has been through our monsoon season, and having a melting snow load in it as well.
On 16:59 of your video, it looks like there are spaces there. Or am I wrong? I just bought this and going to start putting it up this week and was worried about that too.
Curious how the rain rolls off the roof without a gutter system? We’re going to have it about 3-4 feet from the house and I’m worried if the rain is going hit the house coming off the gazebo roof. Does it drain straight down off the roof?
Hey! So we have ours about a foot from the edge of our house, and in front of my office window, and the rain pretty much just goes straight down off the side. Depending on how you set it up, maybe a concern on pooling around the house, but if you’re on concrete, hopefully it’s sloped away from your home. I’d say don’t let it stop you from a good buy!
The wife and are looking to purchase the same gazebo, i just have a question about the roof, does it have gaps in between the panels because every video I've seen i can see day light coming thru or is there a cap that covers it, definitely don't want it to leak,, thanks for any help on that.
Hi I have a few questions since my husband and I are putting one of these together. We’re having problems with overhang on some of the pieces and it says that if it larger than what is needed it has to be cut did you do this?, the hardest part for us is the roof since we having difficulty making sure the holes match and they do not did you also see this happen? Any other info would help thank you
We did run into this but it was because we did it in the wrong order. So just make sure to read what the directions say and do the panels in the order it says.
@@milaniwayne we have followed but we’ve come across that not all holes match and per direction it says if the overhang is bigger than what is needed to cut with a saw (which we don’t have) so I was wondering if you came across this. Also does yours have any leaks? Thanks
Hey! So the longest solid piece is 7.5ft long, I think the boxes were about 8ft in length. It was 5 boxes and they were pretty heavy. If possible, we would recommend having it shipped. That’s the route we took and the Sam’s club team did a good job with it!
Im glad someone made a video about this particular gazebo. I been looking at it at my local sam's club but wasnt sure about it. Thanks!
Glad we could help!
I was wondering how hard it was and it looks like you definitely need to have three people
@@larrbearh2624 I would suggest at least three

Such a smart idea. Thank you for sharing the quick tip!
We love the gazebo. We added the ZeboZAP for our 32” . Took 10 minutes to bring our indoor tv out mounted tot he gazebo post without drilling.
What a great idea! We will have to add that to ours.
Love The ZeboZAP: it was super easy to mount our 50” tv to the metal gazebo post without drilling. No other way I would had it mounted 😍✅

Such a helpful video! Really appreciate that you shared the mistakes and struggles during setup.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the feedback!
So crazy you got that roof done with two people. 🎉 looks fabulous… and love the video angle from the roof! #samsclub #Dewalt #HomeDepot
Thank you! We are very surprised we got it done as well haha

Wow sounds like you have a big project on your hands. Congratulations on finishing the slabs! And yes, two people would be best and maybe even three.
Impressive! Love the look and the potential shade.
It’s been a nice hangout spot
I haven't started mine yet, but I'm happy I watched this video !!

You’ll love it! It has definitely served us well for grilling, entertaining, and enjoying the backyard with great shade!
Amazing job ! Planning to get this one for our garden too. May I know if there’s any leakage from the room of gazebo ? TIA
Looks great. For sure would have helped to have extra hands, but you guys rocked it.
Loved the hair going rogue on you, mind if it’s own!
Haha my hair has a mind of its own.
Anyway installed a motorized tv mount to the Sam's Cordova gazebo?
you guys are troopers! I would've taken a break after trying to get that side panel up lol
Haha thanks. Trust me, we thought about it.
wow, love the team work!!!
Good Video I just ordered the14X10 Barrington. Same gazebo just a different stain on the wood. Thanks
Awesome! It’s a great gazebo
Great video, when you mentioned putting the roof up in order, what issues did you run into installing the big side first?
@@chrisreynolds6152 we needed to drill two pieces together using the pre drilled holes but the order we did it didn’t give us room to do so.
Great video!! I'm stuck in the part were I have to square the structure. How do I get to the desired length, I'm short by and inch, do I pull one post out?
@@poundermonster that is what we did. Just move the posts until you can get it square.

I believe you would be able to to that. You will definitely want more than two people if you do it that way.

We didn’t run into that issue but I’m sure planing it would help.
Do you have small leaks when it rains?
We are proud to report that we have no leaks when it rain or when snow melts!
First of all thanks for the video just put ours together last week your video was helpful also did you mount any curtains or sidewalls if so how

We just bought one, do you have gaps in the roof? Or is it 100 percent solid? I can see a small amount of daylight when sitting and looking up..
We don’t have any spaces in our roof.

Have you guys looked into putting mosquito netting around this? If so, what did you use?
We haven’t added one yet, but we have thought about it. Let us know if you find anything that works.
Think you can cut the legs shorter? Seems really tall and you’d have more shade.
I'm sure you could cut the legs if you wanted.
Do you need permits to get the electrical hooked up? How much does that cost? What do you do and who do u call?
You don’t need permit for electrical.
The gazebo comes with an electrical box similar to an extension cord. You can hook it up to an outdoor outlet you may already have.
Anyone else who bought a gazebo this size, did you secure it at all to either concrete, pavers or maybe a deck? Or is this free standing?
We used bolts to attach it to our deck, but the brand says that you can use concrete screws to attach it to concrete.
Do you mind sharing how many packs of lights to cover the inside roof? Also, are you going to do curtains too? :)
We ended up getting one pack of lights at 24ft long. No curtains yet, but I do love that idea.
@@milaniwayne I appreciate you taking the time to respond😊
Is it possible to add shingle to this roof? Our HOA requires it.
It might be possible. I am not sure.
If you add osb or plywood sheeting to it, you should be able to. Will add a lot of weight, though.

No gaps for us. We haven't had any issues with leaks either.
@milaniwayne thanks, I looked more into it and found there are caps that covers them so we purchased the gazebo and will be building it this weekend.

Always go with the holes no matter what. If there aren’t any you most likely have it placed the wrong way
I also didn’t have to cut it btw. Most likely wont have to if you drill in the pre drilled holes

on the 14ft roof does it have to be square i have one side good at 124 7/16 inches but the other side is at 125 will that be affect at all?
I would try to get it as square as you can. Ours wasn’t perfectly square and as you add more roof pieces you can get them a little more square.
Thank you.
Do my purlins have to be 5/8 on each side or can they be a little shorter
We aren't sure. We just made sure we checked everything that was in the manual.
Nice. I bet he parked that John Deere in the garage that night!

I took a 8 ft. trailer, and Sam's team loaded it on with a forklift. It is heavy !!
