Fernando Alonso came to Ferrari in 2010. Alonso was five seasons a Ferrari driver, and in two times he fought for the title until the last race. Alonso didn't won the driver championship with Ferrari although he lived great moments in the Scuderia. At the end of the 2014 season, Alonso decided to join in the Mclaren Honda team, finishing his time as a Ferrari driver.

Well he should have been more cautious in Japan. Vettel was 50+ Pts behind in Monza , he should have won it in 2010

It's a real shame he lost the 2010 and 2012 titles with such a small difference. Two DNFs at Spa and Suzuka and there you have it. He deserved at least one title in an era dominated clearly by the Red Bulls both on and off the track. I still remember how Horner said in 2012 right before Spa that Fernando's luck would eventually end, as if he did all that in 2012 by luck in a far inferior car to Sebastian's. Strange to be a Ferrari fan now rooting for SV, who I almost hated at RBR. :)))
+Ford Mustang FR500S Seb had the much better car. Fernando on the other hand was driving the hell out of the F2012 car that was simply an inferior car not only to RBR, but also McLaren, yet he carried the title battle till the very end. You can say whatever you want, but everyone including the drivers voted Fernando the better driver that year. Fernando's racecraft was second to none at Ferrari.
Sorry Ford Mustang but no. Alonso always had to give chase and had to maximize every single result. 2012 was pretty much a flawless season in that regard, with Suzuka arguably partially his fault and they blundered spectacularly in Canada. Those were huge points swings in favour of Vettel.
***** Why do you rule out a series of examples by taking a conclusion as the main argument itself? Very mature reasoning from your side. 'These are the facts' arguments never stick without interpretation. Good that your guy won while having consistently the best car, they were trading blows with McLaren all season and Ferrari trundled around behind them. Yas Marina was a prime example of that. Alonso never had that winners luxury outside of maybe Monza. 2010 people call for Alonso to be champion, I don't, he made too many mistakes that season on his own for that. That's weighing arguments at face value right there, hope you'll learn something from it :) Cheers.

Well clearly not, as the statistics tell. Seb is a highly underrated driver. Alonso may be talented, but statistically speaking he isn't as good. Alonso could have had 2010 won easily but blew it.

@SS - 09TJ - Glenforest SS (2172) Not that much..people seem to overrate Fernando too much (saying that as his fan makes me cringe on the inside) and say that it was a complete shitbox but thats simply not true. It was TOP3 car and that with some luck that he even had that season it was possible to fight for that championship...just like 2017 Vettel = the driver was epic but the car just wasnt where it needed to be.

You sound like good old Enzo. Here we are at the end of 2017, and Vettel is still not winning. 3 years in, lots of love to the red team I suppose, and hasn't come close to the title. Let's see how long his love for the team lasts for.
valle3452 They have been close though... A few times now, but obviously its not typical of their standards. Are they realistic standards? Probably not but its good to have high expectations. They had a good car this year and should be able to build on it.

Undisputably the best driver in terms of talent the F1 grid and ferrari have had, since michael schumacher. Had he been in those bullets of 2017 & 2018, we could very well have seen title deciders at least.

Alonso was tired of not having a championship winning car (2010 2nd/3rd best,2011 3rd best, 2012 3rd 4th or even 5th best at times, 2013 3rd best, 2014 5th best) so as you can imagine he was frustated because he didnt get what he deserved and he moved to McLaren hoping Honda was going to be the next mercedes just like lewis did in 2013 he took a gamble moving to mercedes and it paid off. Apart from that in 2014 they changed the main boss of ferrari and alonso wasnt very Happy with him

Didn't deserve any title with Ferrari. On his own he's a fantastic driver. As a team player though, that is the worst team mate you can possibly have.
